Abstract:Polysubstituted pyrroles were efficiently synthesized in moderate yields by a one-pot multicomponent reaction starting from primary amines, ethyl glyoxalate and 2-bromoacetophenones in the presence of pyridine in refluxing acetonitrile. This methodology was utilized to synthesize a highly substituted benz[g]indole.

Abstract:A novel tandem one-pot method for the synthesis of polysubstituted pyridine derivatives has been developed via Knoevenagel-type reaction and subsequent 675 electrocyclization of the Blaise reaction intermediates and 3-formylchromones. Abstract:A concise and efficient synthetic approach was developed for the synthesis of functionalized chromeno[4,3-b]pyrrol-4(1H)-ones via a one-pot, three-component reaction of 4-aminocoumarin, arylglyoxal monohydrates, and aromatic amines promoted by KHSO4 in toluene under reflux condition. The attractive features of this protocol are operational simplicity, short reaction time, easy purification of products and good to excellent yields.

Abstract:A series of polysubstituted pyrroles were rapidly synthesized in moderate to good yields via catalyst-free one-pot three-component reaction of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds with primary amines and nitrostyrenes by using liquid-assisted grinding. This protocol provides several advantages over the conventional chemical synthesis, such as simple work-up procedure, wide substrate scope, short reaction time, and environmental friendliness. Structures of polysubstituted pyrroles were confirmed by H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, and ESI-MS studies.
