Abstract:The purpose of this study was to analyze the multiple parallel mediating effect of emotional intelligence(emotional recognition, empathy, thinking promotion, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation) on the relationship between adult attachment and burnout in childcare teachers. The subjects of this study were 214 childcare teachers working in a daycare center in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, aged 0-5, and data were collected through a self-report questionnaire. The results of this study are as follows. In the relationship between adult attachment and burnout, among the five sub-factors of emotional intelligence, only emotional recognition, thinking promotion, and emotional regulation had partial mediating effects. The results of this study suggest developing psychological resources such as emotional intelligence and are expected to be used as basic data to reduce job burnout of childcare teachers.
