Abstract:We introduce a class of full nonlinear integral-differential equations with nonsymmetric positive kernels and study the regularity of their solutions. More precisely, we establish a nonlocal version of A-B-P estimate, a Harnack inequality, Holder regularity, and C 1, α of the solutions.

Abstract:We consider nonlinear integro-differential equations, like the ones that arise from stochastic control problems with purely jump Lèvy processes. We obtain a nonlocal version of the ABP estimate, Harnack inequality, and interior $C^{1,\alpha}$ regularity for general fully nonlinear integro-differential equations. Our estimates remain uniform as the degree of the equation approaches two, so they can be seen as a natural extension of the regularity theory for elliptic partial differential equations.

Abstract:The primary purpose of this paper is to study the Wiener-type regularity criteria for non-linear equations driven by integro-differential operators, whose model is the fractional $p-$Laplace equation. In doing so, with the help of tools from potential analysis, such as fractional relative Sobolev capacities, Wiener type integrals, Wolff potentials, $(\alpha,p)-$barriers, and $(\alpha,p)-$balayages, we first prove the characterizations of the fractional thinness and the Perron boundary regularity. Then, we establish a Wiener test and a generalized fractional Wiener criterion. Furthermore, we also prove the continuity of the fractional superharmonic function, the fractional resolutivity, a connection between $(\alpha,p)-$potentials and $(\alpha,p)-$Perron solutions, and the existence of a capacitary function for an arbitrary condenser.

Abstract:We study a series of regularity results for solutions of a degenerate/singular fully nonlinear integro-differential equation $$- \bigg( \sigma_{1}(|Du|) + a(x) \sigma_{2}(|Du|) \bigg) I_{\tau}(u,x) = f(x).$$ In the degenerate case, we establish borderline regularity provided the inverse of degeneracy law $ \sigma_{2}$ is Dini-continuous. In addition, we show Schauder-type higher regularity at local extrema point for a concrete non-local degenerate equation. In the singular case, we prove gradient Hölder regularity of solutions to general non-local equation. It is noteworthy that these results are new even for the case $ a(x) \equiv 0 $. Finally, as a byproduct of the borderline regularity, we show how to apply our strategies in the study of the corresponding regularity for a class of degenerate non-local normalized $ p$-Laplacian equation.

Abstract:We investigate the regularity of the solutions for a class of degenerate/singular fully nonlinear nonlocal equations. In the degenerate scenario, we establish that there exists at least one viscosity solution of class C l o c 1 , α , for some constant α ∈ ( 0 , 1 ) . In addition, under suitable conditions on degree of the operator σ, we prove regularity estimates in Hölder spaces for any viscosity solution. We also examine the singular setting and prove Hölder regularity estimates for the gradient of the solutions.

Abstract:We prove the Aleksandrov--Bakelman--Pucci estimate for non-uniformly elliptic equations in non-divergence form. Moreover, we investigate local behaviors of solutions of such equations by developing local boundedness and weak Harnack inequality. Here we impose an integrability assumption on ellipticity representing degeneracy or singularity, instead of specifying the particular structure of ellipticity.

Abstract:This article is concerned with ``up to $C^{2, \alpha}$-regularity results'' about a mixed local-nonlocal nonlinear elliptic equation which is driven by the superposition of Laplacian and fractional Laplacian operators. First of all, an estimate on the $L^\infty$ norm of weak solutions is established for more general cases than the ones present in the literature, including here critical nonlinearities. We then prove the interior $C^{1,\alpha}$-regularity and the $C^{1,\alpha}$-regularity up to the boundary of weak solutions, which extends previous results by the authors [X. Su, E. Valdinoci, Y. Wei and J. Zhang, Math. Z. (2022)], where the nonlinearities considered were of subcritical type. In addition, we establish the interior $C^{2,\alpha}$-regularity of solutions for all $s\in(0,1)$ and the $C^{2,\alpha}$-regularity up to the boundary for all $s\in(0,\frac{1}{2})$, with sharp regularity exponents. For further perusal, we also include a strong maximum principle and some properties about the principal eigenvalue.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the semilinear integro-differential equations \begin{equation*} \mathcal{L}_{K}u(x)\equiv C_n\text{P.V.}\int_{\R^n}\left(u(x)-u(y)\right)K(x-y)dy=f(x,u), \end{equation*} and the full nonlinear integro-differential equations \begin{equation*} F_{G,K}u(x)\equiv C_n\text{P.V.}\int_{\R^n}G(u(x)-u(y))K(x-y)dy=f(x,u), \end{equation*} where $K(\cdot)$ is a symmetric jumping kernel and $K(\cdot)\geq C|\cdot|^{-n-\alpha}$, $G(\cdot)$ is some nonlinear function without non-degenerate condition. We adopt the direct method of moving planes to study the symmetry and monotonicity of solutions for the integro-differential equations, and investigate the limit of some non-local operators $\mathcal{L}_{K}$ as $\alpha\to2.$ Our results extended some results obtained in \cite{CL} and \cite{CLLG}.

Abstract:We establish higher regularity properties of solutions to fully nonlinear elliptic equations at interior critical points. The key novelty of our estimates lies in the fact that they yield smoothness properties that go beyond the inherent regularity limitations dictated by the heterogeneity of the problem. We explore various scenarios, revealing a plethora of improved regularity estimates. Notably, depending on the model's parameters, we establish estimates that transcend the natural regularity regime of the model, from $C^{0,\alpha_0}$ to $C^{1,\alpha_1}$ and further to $C^{2,\alpha_2}$, with the potential for even higher estimates.

Abstract:We consider a wide class of fully nonlinear integro-differential equations that degenerate when the gradient of the solution vanishes. By using compactness and perturbation arguments, we give a complete characterization of the regularity of viscosity solutions according to different diffusion orders. More precisely, when the order of the fractional diffusion is sufficiently close to 2, we obtain Hölder continuity for the gradient of any viscosity solutions and further derive an improved gradient regularity estimate at the origin. For the order of the fractional diffusion in the interval $(1, 2)$, we prove that there is at least one solution of class $C^{1, \alpha}_{\rm loc}$. Additionally, if the order of the fractional diffusion is in the interval $(0,1]$, the local Hölder continuity of solutions is inferred.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the existence of positive almost automorphic solutions to some nonlinear delay integral equations. We first establish a new fixed point theorem for mixed monotone operator in a cone, and then, with its help, we obtain existence theorems of positive almost automorphic solutions. Some examples are given to illustrate our results. As one will see, even in the case of almost periodicity, our theorems extend some earlier results, and moreover, the approach dealing with the integral equation arising in an epidemic problem in this paper is also new.

Abstract:This paper mainly deals with the monotonicity and Liouville type theorems of nonnegative solutions for a class of fully nonlinear fractional equations in half-space. Compared with serial works in [9,14,20], the restrictions on the monotonicity of nonlinear terms and the decay assumption on solutions are not necessary here. Moreover, the monotonicity result of nonnegative bounded solutions for corresponding cooperative systems is also derived. Specifically, we establish some new types of maximum principles for fully nonlinear fractional equations and systems in unbounded domains, which will play crucial roles in carrying on the method of moving planes.

Abstract:We study integral equations with discontinuous nonlinearities in Lebesgue spaces. Using the variational method, based on the concept of a quasipotential operator, we establish a theorem on the existence of semi-regular solutions. For equations with a parameter, a theorem on the existence of nontrivial semi-regular solutions for sufficiently large parameter values is obtained. An example of an applied problem for which the conditions of these theorems are satisfied is given.

Abstract:We study nonnegative solutions to the following Hardy-Hénon type equations involving higher order fractional Laplacians $$ (-\Delta)^\sigma u = |x|^{-\alpha}u^{p} ~~~~~~ \mbox{in} ~ \mathbb{R}^n \backslash \{0\} $$ with a possible singularity at the origin, where $\sigma$ is a real number satisfying $0 < \sigma < n/2$, $-\infty < \alpha < 2\sigma$ and $p>1$. By a more direct approach without using the super poly-harmonic properties, we establish an integral representation for nonnegative solutions to the above higher order fractional equations whether the singularity $\{0\}$ is removable or not. As the first application, we prove an optimal Liouville-type theorem for the above equations with removable singularity for all $\sigma \in (0, n/2)$ when $$ 1 < p < p_{\sigma,\alpha}^*:=\frac{n+2\sigma -2\alpha}{n-2\sigma} ~~~ \mbox{and} ~~~ -\infty < \alpha < 2\sigma. $$ This, in particular, covers a gap occurring for non-integral $\sigma \in (1, n/2)$ and $\alpha \in (0, 2\sigma)$ in the current literature. As the second application, we show the radial symmetry of solutions in the critical case or in the case when the origin is a non-removable singularity. Such radial symmetry would be useful in studying the singular Yamabe-type problems.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish some Harnack type inequalities satisfied by positive solutions of nonlocal inhomogeneous equations arising in the description of various phenomena ranging from population dynamics to micro-magnetism. For regular domains, we also derive an inequality up to the boundary. The main difficulty in such context lies in a precise control of the solutions outside a compact set and the existence of local uniform estimates. We overcome this problem by proving a contraction result which makes the $L^1$ norms of the solutions on two compact sets $ø_1\subset\subsetø_2$ equivalent. We also construct the principal positive eigenfunctions associated to particular nonlocal operators by using the corresponding Harnack type inequalities.

Abstract:We prove a boundary estimate for the gradient of a weak solution to a partial differential equation of $p$-Laplacian type with coefficients of vanishing mean oscillation. Combining the boundary estimate with a known interior estimate we obtain a global higher integrability result. The main result generalizes known results for linear equations to a nonlinear case. Our method is based on choosing the right test function, and, in particular, we do not use any representation formulas for solutions.
