Abstract:In this paper, we study the solution of the fractional nonlinear Ginzburg-Landau(FNGL) equation with weak initial data in the weighted Lebesgue spaces.The existence of a solution to this equation is proved by the contraction-mapping principle.

Abstract:We study the fractional complex Ginzburg-Landau equation with periodic initial boundary value condition in three spatial dimensions. The problem is discretized fully by Fourier Galerkin spectral method. The dynamical behavior of the resulting discrete system is examined. The existence of a global attractor is established, and the corresponding convergence is proved through the error estimates of the discrete solution. Numerical stability and convergence of the discrete scheme are proved.

Abstract:The existence of a solution to the parabolic system with the fractional Laplacian (−Δ) α /2 , α > 0 is proven, this solution decays at different rates along different time sequences going to infinity. As an application, the existence of a solution to the generalized Navier-Stokes equations is proven, which decays at different rates along different time sequences going to infinity. The generalized Navier-Stokes equations are the equations resulting from replacing −Δ in the Navier-Stokes equations by (−Δ) m , m > 0. At last, a similar result for 3-D incompressible anisotropic Navier-Stokes system is obtained.

Abstract:Fractional Ginzburg-Landau equations as generalizations of the classical one have been used to describe various physical phenomena. In this paper, we propose a numerical integration method for space fractional Ginzburg-Landau equations based on a dynamical low-rank approximation. We first approximate the space fractional derivatives by using a fractional centered difference method. Then, the resulting matrix differential equation is split into a stiff linear part and a nonstiff (nonlinear) one. For solving these two subproblems, a dynamical low-rank approach is employed. The convergence of our method is proved rigorously. Numerical examples are reported which show that the proposed method is robust and accurate.

Abstract:In this paper, we discuss an efficient numerical method to obtain all solutions of fractional Gelfand equation with Dirichlet boundary condition. More precisely, we derive a good initial value motivated by the bifurcation curve of fractional Gelfand equation. It is obvious to see that the number of solutions depends on the value of parameter in fractional Gelfand equation. By collocation technique and finite difference method, numerical solutions can be found very quickly based on Newton iteration method with the aid of such initial guess. Numerical simulation for one-dimensional fractional Gelfand equation are provided, which demonstrates the accuracy and easy-to-implement of our algorithm.

Abstract:We primarily investigate the existence of solutions for fractional neutral integro-differential equations with nonlocal initial conditions, which are crucial for understanding natural phenomena. Taking into account factors such as neutral type, fractional-order integrals, and fractional-order derivatives, we employ probability density functions, Laplace transforms, and resolvent operators to formulate a well-defined concept of a mild solution for the specified equation. Following this, by using fixed-point theorems, we establish the existence of mild solutions under more relaxed conditions.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate an initial value problem for a nonlinear fractional differential equation on an infinite interval. The differential operator is taken in the Hadamard sense and the nonlinear term involves two lower-order fractional derivatives of the unknown function. In order to establish the global existence criteria, we first verify that there exists a unique positive solution to an integral equation based on a class of new integral inequality. Next, we construct a locally convex space, which is metrizable and complete. On this space, applying Schäuder's fixed point theorem, we obtain the existence of at least one solution to the initial value problem.

Qualitative Theory of Dynamical Systems

Abstract:We investigate the existence of solutions for a class of fractional evolution equations with nonlocal initial conditions and superlinear growth nonlinear functions in Banach spaces. By using the compactness of semigroup generated by the linear operator, we neither assume any Lipschitz property of the nonlinear term nor the compactness of the nonlocal initial conditions. Moreover, the approximation technique coupled with the Hartmann-type inequality argument allows the treatment of nonlinear terms with superlinear growth. Then combining with the Leray-Schauder continuation principle, we prove the existence results. Finally, the results obtained are applied to fractional parabolic equations with continuous superlinearly growth nonlinearities and nonlocal initial conditions including periodic or antiperiodic conditions, multipoint conditions and integral-type conditions.

Abstract:We investigate the long time stability of the solutions to the fractional nonlinear Schrödinger (FNLS) equation under periodic boundary conditioniψt+(−Δ)s0ψ+∂F(|ψ|2)∂ψ‾=0,x∈T,t∈R,s0∈(3/4,1), where (−Δ)s0 denotes the Riesz fractional differentiation defined in [18]. Here F(z) is a real-valued polynomial function of z, fulfilling F′(z)|z=0=0, F″(z)|z=0≠0. Our findings indicate that for all s0∈(3/4,1) and almost all R-small initial data in Sobolev norm, the corresponding solutions remain their small magnitude over time-intervals of length R−|ln⁡R|γ with 0<R≪1, 0<γ<1/5.

Abstract:This work is devoted to investigating exact solutions of generalized nonlinear fractional diffusion equations with external force and absorption. We first investigate the nonlinear anomalous diffusion equations with one-fractional derivative and then multi-fractional ones. In both situations, we obtain the corresponding exact solution, its diffusive behavior, and the sufficient and necessary conditions for solutions satisfying the boundary condition W(±∞,t)=0 and the sharp initial condition W(x,0)=δ(x).

Abstract:In this article, we focus on examining the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence of solutions on initial data for a specific initial boundary value problem which mainly arises from one-dimensional quasi-static contact problems in nonlinear thermo-elasticity. This problem concerns a fractional nonlinear singular integro-differential equation of order θ∈[0,1]. The primary methodology involves the application of a fixed point theorem coupled with certain a priori bounds. The feasibility of solving this problem is established under the context of data related to a weighted Sobolev space. Furthermore, an additional result related to the regularity of the solution for the formulated problem is also presented.

Abstract:In this work, we present a high-order numerical method for the two-dimensional nonlinear space-fractional complex Ginzburg-Landau equation (FCGLE). Firstly, a fourth-order approximation is adopted to discretize the spatial Riesz fractional derivatives that leads to a semi-linear system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs), whose coefficient matrix has the complex block Toeplitz structure. Then a fourth-order exponential integrator method is used to solve the corresponding semi-linear ODEs system. In light of the results in theory, the proposed algorithm is fourth-order accuracy in both time and space. In the specific implementation of the proposed algorithm, due to the special structure of the coefficient matrix, the products of some φ -functions of matrices (related to the matrix exponential) and vectors are computed by the shift-invert Lanczos technique in the exponential integrator. In order to calculate the linear system of equations arising from the shift-invert Lanczos procedure, two classes of efficient preconditioners including Strang's circulant preconditioner/ τ matrix preconditioner are constructed and implemented by fast Fourier transform and fast sine transform, respectively. Numerical examples with and without exact solutions are implemented to confirm the effectiveness of the current algorithm.
