Abstract:Considering the low efficiency during the process of traditional calibration for digital-display vibrometers, an automatic calibration system for vibrometers based on machine vision is developed. First, an automatic vibration control system is established on the basis of a personal computer, and the output of a vibration exciter on which a digital-display vibrometer to be calibrated is installed, is automatically adjusted to vibrate at a preset vibration level and a preset frequency. Then the display of the vibrometer is captured by a digital camera and identified by means of image recognition. According to the vibration level of the exciter measured by a laser interferometer and the recognized display of the vibrometer, the properties of the vibrometer are calculated and output by the computer. Image recognition algorithms for the display of the vibrometer with a high recognition rate are presented, and the recognition for vibrating digits and alternating digits is especially analyzed in detail. Experimental results on the built-up system show that the prposed image recognition methods are very effective and the system could liberate operators from boring and intense calibration work for digital-display vibrometers.

Abstract:An AMR(Automatic Meter Reading) system is used to automatically collect data from meters. In this paper we design and implement a Wireless Automatic Meter Reading System to solve the problem in existing AMR system. The system consists of wireless modules, measure meters and management center. A general wireless module, is developed to transfer the data gotten from traditional analogue meters or digital meters by using ZigBee communication network. We describe a system framework including the hardware of wireless module and software design of data acquisition. We also develop the operator interface on management center. Finally, we build up a Wireless Automatic voltage Meter Reading System as a case study. The proposed system has board application foreground in industry.

Abstract:A control and signal processing system is designed and implemented for fault detection of cab electric circuit in various types of vehicles.The acquisition,input and processing of analogue and digital signals and the simulation on sensor signals of cab instruments are realized for different detected objects of cab electric circuit respectively.Databases for cab electric circuit and its detecting results are also set up for real time display and subsequent inquiry,including remote inquiry by intranet.The trial operation on cab production line shows that the system functions stable and reliable.

Abstract:Electrical vehicles are widely used in city transportation.It has broad market prospects.Here gives a speed and mileage measure method,which is applied on electrical vehicles.It measures the speed and the distances by the phase change signals,and records the mileage information in the EEPROM.Specific solutions based on AT89C2051 are also given.It proves to be practical thought experiment.It may be developed into production in large scale.

Abstract:In order to determine the relationship between luminance characteristics(filament emission current,current distributive coefficient,luminous efficiency and luminance) and anode voltage for Vacuum Fluorescent Display(VFD),shorten developing time and improve successful rate of new product development,eight types of VFD produced by fluorescent phosphors of eight colors were used as test samples,and the filament emission current,the anode voltage and the luminance were measured under each step of anode voltage.The calculating formula between the luminance and the anode voltage for VFD was achieved by applying least square method(LSM) to fitting the relationship between the filament emission current and the anode voltage,and right approximation method to calculate Weibull fitting formulae of the current distributive coefficient and the luminous efficiency.The research results demonstrate that test design scheme is correct and feasible,that the fitting formulae of the filament emission current,the current distributive coefficient and the luminous efficiency have very high accuracy,and that the calculated luminance has less error than the experimental one.It would not only determine luminance characteristics based on the designed value of anode voltage at the beginning of VFD design very conveniently,but also provide significant theoretical foundation and technical guidance for VFD structural optimization design.

Abstract:At present,the instrument manufacturers or the automobile factory need to carry out the strict test for automobile combined instruments,and the testing method is about testing the system of automobile sensor simulation signal,transmitting through a harness to the instrument and observing the instrument display state.In this paper,based on the signal simulation,the design,based on the LabVIEW software development virtual instrument interface,uses the Freescale xs128 single-chip to achieve the simulation of the automobile instrument tachometer,speedometer,fuel,water temperature signal and switch signal,and the standard of RS-232 in the upper and lower machine communication can also be achieved.

Effect of Anode Voltage on Luminous Efficiency of Vacuum Fluorescent Display

Abstract:Three VFD types(20-0704N,25-1217FN(B) and 40-1004NA) produced by green powder are used as test samples in this paper.According to the norms of product testing,the anode current and the luminance of each sample are measured under each step of anode voltage.The unified calculation formula of the luminous efficiency for VFD is achieved by applying Weibull function in describing luminous efficiency distribution and right approximation method in studying the effect of anode voltage on the luminous efficiency quantitatively.The research results show the test design scheme is correct and feasible.The luminous efficiency of VFD submits to three-parameter Weibull distribution,which decreases nonlinearly when anode voltage increases.The Weibull fitting formula of VFD luminous efficiency has very high accuracy,which makes it possible to determine the luminous efficiency based on the designed value of anode voltage at the beginning of VFD design.

Abstract:Based on CAN bus technology and SAE J1939 protocol, a module design for vehicle information acquisition and diagnosis based on Cortex-M3 core microcontroller is presented. The packet and content format of SAE J1939 protocol, and the design of hardware and software are described in detail, in addition the links needing to be noted in the design are pointed out. By reading and processing CAN bus and sensor's data, the module can provide the data about vehicle conditions reliably. Furthermore, it can be integrated in other vehicle products such as vehicle multimedia system and virtual digital meters.

Abstract:Frequency is a fundamental parameter in the field of Electronic technology. As a basic measuring instrument, the digital frequency meter is extensively applied for its features such as high precision, fast speed, digital display. This paper describes a very simple and data transmittable design of a Digital Frequency Meter using a PIC microcontroller with some simple functions. This digital frequency meter has a range of frequency measurement from 1Hz to 100kHz and a resolution of 1hz and accuracy less than 0.5%. Digital Frequency Meter measures the frequency and displays its data on 1602 LCD screen with a unit in thousands(kHz); the usage of microcontroller enables it to toggle measuring mode, pause the data display and transmit data to other microcontrollers for extra uses.

Abstract:This paper deals with implementation of intelligent head up display for vehicle safety system. The Implanted new intelligent transport system offer the potential for improved vehicle to driver communication. The most commonly viewed information in a vehicle is from the Head up display, where speed, tachometer, engine RPM, navigation, engine temperature, fuel gauge, turn indicators and warning lights provide the driver with an array of fundamental information. Design on DC Digital Voltage Meter Based on C Language

Abstract:Aiming at the shortcomings of traditional digital voltage meter such as complex structure, high cost, short service life and difficult upgrade, a digital voltage meter is proposed, which is based on C language and uses P89V51 single chip microcomputer as control core. The hardware circuit uses dual integrating A/D converter; the power supply circuit is handled by steady voltage chip LM7805 and LM7905; the voltage load ranges from +5 V to-5 V; the digital signal processing adopts CD4052 B, and the automatic range conversion circuit is constituted by LM324. The control function is implemented by C language programming. The measurement range is from 10 mV to 2 V, the resolution ratio is 1 mV(2V gear); the measurement error is less than ±0.5 V; the input resistance is greater than 1 MΩ.The experimental results show that the voltage meter can restrain the power interference, has high measurement accuracy and such advantages as automatic zero, automatic range switching and automatic upgrade.

Abstract:In order to read out the digits on the gas meter more conveniently and effectively, a low-cost direct reading system based on machine vision is presented in this paper. Specifically, the system is mainly composed of camera module, light source, main control board, wireless transmission module and handheld meter reading device. Through the adaptive threshold binaryzation, digital extraction and template matching algorithm, this system can automatically identify the digits on the gas meter. The experimental results show that the system can successfully identify the digits on the gas meter and send the results to the handheld meter reading device.

Abstract:In order to estimate the lifetime of Vacuum Fluorescent Display(VFD) in a short time,four constant stress accelerated life tests(CSALT) are carried out with its filament temperature increased.The lifetime prediction software for VFD is developed by a hybrid programming method of VB and MATLAB based on COM component,and the life estimation is achieved.The results indicate that the test design scheme and lifetime prediction method are correct and feasible.The accurate accelerated parameter calculated by this software makes it possible to predict the VFD lifetime rapidly.

Abstract:The paper discusses the conception of flicker and the basic theory of flicker measurement, and designs a voltage flickermeter based on virtual instrument according to this theory. Then simulation validation is carried out to the designed flickermeter, and practical measurement is taken to the voltage flicker of simulated electric arc-furnace with this flickermeter. Finally, the result of simulation validation and measurement shows that this flickermeter has a certain project practicality with stable running and the accuracy of measurement meeting the requirement of the IEC.

Abstract:The simple digital voltmeter is made of the ATMEL 8-bit MCU(Main Computational Unit), AT89S52 and national semiconductor's ADC(Analog-to-Digital Converter) 0804, including a certain number of components. The system uses the AT89S52 MCU as the main controller, which processes the acquired analog voltage and realize LED(light-emitting diode) digital display by dynamic scanning. The voltmeter can measure the DC(direct current) voltage in the rage of 0 ~ 5V and display the measurement results by the four LED digital tube. Because of fewer components, low cost, automated adjustment, high accuracy measurement, stable performance, the voltmeter has a very good application prospect.
