Abstract:Our study aimed to establish and validate a multi-class scoring system for preoperative gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) risk stratifications based on CT features. 150 gastric GIST patients who underwent contrast-enhanced CT examination and surgical resection from hospital 1 were retrospectively analyzed as the training cohort, and 61 patients from hospitals 2 and 3 were included as the validation cohort. A model was established by logistic regression analysis and weighted to be a scoring model. A calibration test, area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC), and cutoff points were determined for the score model. The model was also divided into three score ranges for convenient clinical evaluation. Five CT features were included in the score model, including tumor size (4 points), ill-defined margin (6 points), intratumoral enlarged vessels (5 points), heterogeneous enhancement pattern (4 points), and exophytic or mixed growth pattern (2 points). Then, based on the calibration results, performance was merely assessed as very low and high* risk. The AUCs of the score model for very low risk and high* risk were 0.973 and 0.977, and the cutoff points were 3 points (97.30%, 93.81%) and 7 points (92.19%, 94.19%), respectively. In the validation cohort, the AUCs were 0.912 and 0.972, and the cutoff values were 3 points (92.31%, 85.42%) and 5 points (100%, 87.88%), respectively. The model was stratified into 3 ranges: 0-3 points for very low risk, 4-8 points for low risk, and 9-21 points for high* risk. A concise and practical score system for gastric GISTs risk stratification was proposed.

Abstract:Purpose To assess contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CE-CT) features for predicting malignant potential and Ki67 in small intestinal gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) and the correlation between them. Methods We retrospectively analyzed the pathological and imaging data for 123 patients (55 male/68 female, mean age: 57.2 years) with a histopathological diagnosis of small intestine GISTs who received CE-CT followed by curative surgery from May 2009 to August 2019. According to postoperatively pathological and immunohistochemical results, patients were categorized by malignant potential and the Ki67 index, respectively. CT features were analyzed to be associated with malignant potential or the Ki67 index using univariate analysis, logistic regression and receiver operating curve analysis. Then, we explored the correlation between the Ki67 index and malignant potential by using the Spearman rank correlation. Results Based on univariate and multivariate analysis, a predictive model of malignant potential of small intestine GISTs, consisting of tumor size ( p < 0.001) and presence of necrosis ( p = 0.033), was developed with the area under the receiver operating curve (AUC) of 0.965 (95% CI, 0.915–0.990; p < 0.001), with 91.53% sensitivity, 96.87% specificity, 96.43% PPV, 92.54% NPV, 94.31% diagnostic accuracy. For high Ki67 expression, a model made up of tumor size ( p = 0.051), presence of ulceration ( p = 0.054) and metastasis ( p = 0.001) may be the best predictive combination with an AUC of 0.785 (95% CI, 0.702–0.854; p < 0.001), 63.33% sensitivity, 76.34% specificity, 46.34% PPV, 86.59% NPV, 73.17% diagnostic accuracy. Ki67 index showed a moderate positive correlation with mitotic count ( r = 0.578, p < 0.001), a weak positive correlation with tumor size ( r = 0.339, p < 0.001) and with risk stratification ( r = 0.364, p < 0.001). Conclusion Features on CE-CT could preoperatively predict malignant potential and high Ki67 expression of small intestine GISTs, and Ki67 index may be a promising prognostic factor in predicting the prognosis of small intestine GISTs, independent of the risk stratification system.

Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the correlation between computed tomography (CT) features and malignancy risk category of small (≤5 cm) gastric stromal tumors (GST), in order to provide an image reference for preoperative assessment and intraoperative pathological diagnosis. Methods: Eighty-three patients with surgically and pathologically proven GST (≤5 cm) between January 2011 and November 2015 were recruited, and their clinical, pathological and CT data were retrospectively analyzed. According to the pathological results and malignancy risk category, the patients were divided into 2 groups, the benign biological behavior group (very low and low risk) and malignant biological behavior group (intermediate and high risk). The clinical, pathological and CT imaging findings of the two groups were analyzed. Based on the tumor diameter, the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was applied to evaluate the sensitivity, specificity and the best cut-off point for distinguishing the malignancy risk between the two groups. Results: The lobulation and ulceration of the tumors presented statistically significant difference for the malignancy risk between the two groups (χ(2)=6.273 and 4.163, respectively; all P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in the sex, clinical symptoms, serum ferritin, tumor site, growth pattern, cystis degeneration and calcification (all P>0.05). No statistically significant differences were detected for the tumor CT value, arterial CT value, venous CT value, degrees of enhancement in arterial phase (DEAP), enhancement in portal venous phase (DEPP), and patient's age for distinguishing the malignancy risk between the two groups (all P>0.05). On the other hand, significant differences were found in the maximum diameter (Dmax) of tumor and the minimum diameter (Dmin) of tumor (t=-3.256 and -3.466, respectively; all P<0.05). When the cut-off point of Dmax was 1.6 cm, the area under the ROC curve, sensitivity and specificity were 0.704, 92.3% and 75.4%, respectively. When the cut-off point of Dmin was 1.5 cm, the area under the ROC curve, sensitivity and specificity were 0.713, 88.5% and 71.9%, respectively. Conclusion: CT features of the GST (≤5 cm) may predict, before surgery, the malignancy risk of small gastric stromal tumors, and provide the an image reference for preoperative assessment and intraoperative pathological diagnosis of the disease.

Abstract:PURPOSE: To build radiomic prediction models using contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CE-CT) to preoperatively predict malignant potential and mitotic count of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs). PATIENTS AND METHODS: A total of 333 GISTs patients were retrospectively included in our study. Radiomic features were extracted from the preoperative CE-CT images. According to postoperative pathology, patients were categorized by malignant potential and mitotic count, respectively. The most valuable radiomic features were chosen to build a logistic regression model to predict the malignant potential and a random forest classifier model to predict the mitotic count. The performance of radiomic models was assessed with the receiver operating characteristics curve. Our study further developed a radiomic nomogram to preoperatively predict malignant potential in a personalized way for patients with GISTs. RESULTS: The predictive model was built to discriminate high– from low–malignant potential GISTs with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.882 (95% CI 0.823-0.942) in the training set and 0.920 (95% CI 0.870-0.971) in the validation set. Moreover, the other radiomic model was built to differentiate high– from low–mitotic count GISTs with an AUC of 0.820 (95% CI 0.753-0.887) in the training set and 0.769 (95% CI 0.654-0.883) in the validation set. CONCLUSION: The radiomic models using CE-CT showed a good predictive performance for preoperative risk stratification of GISTs and hold great potential for personalized clinical decision making.

Abstract:Objective To investigate the survival and prognostic factors in patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GIST).Methods The histopathological slides from 153 patients with GIST were reviewed. The expression of CDllT,CD34,platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFR-a) and Ki-67 proteins were measured by immunohistochemical staining. The factors thatinvolved in the survival and prognosis were analyzed based on the clinical features and GIST biological behavior ranking.The Kaplan-Meier and Cox model were used to evaluate the effect of variant factors on survival and prognosis.Results The survival rate of 135 patients was 94.1% 76.3% and 65.9% at 1,3 and 5 years,respectively.On univariate analysis survival was predicted by tumor size (χ2= 40.565,P＜0.01),primary tumor location (χ2=13.245,P＜0.01),mitotic count (χ2= 22.626,P＜0.01),risk ranking (χ2=19.186,P＜0.01),necrosis (χ2==28.665,P＜0.01),incomplete resection χ2=2 =29.110,P＜0.01) and Ki-67 index (χ2=15.953,P＜0.01).Multivariate analysis demonstrated that thetumor size ＞ 10 cm,primary tumor location,mitotic count＞ 10/50 HPF,high risk subgroup,tumor necrosis and Ki 67 index ＞ 5 % were poor predictors of survival.Ki-67,tumor size and mitotic count were strong poor predictors of survival.Conclusions Fletcher's biological behavior ranking is a good approach to predict prognosis of GIST patients and has significant clinical value.It's better to combine itwith other factors such as Ki-67 index and primary tumor location in order to provide evidence for therapy.

Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the predictive value of 3D quantitative shape features based on enhanced CT for disease-free survival (DFS) of primary gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) patients receiving curative resection. MethodsFrom January 2010 to December 2016, a total of 154 patients with primary gastric GIST who received curative resection in Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University were retrospectively collected. The conventional CT imaging features and 3D quantitative shape features of tumors were evaluated, and the influencing factors of DFS were analyzed by univariate and multivariate Cox regression. Cut-off values were extracted, and Kaplan-Meier curves were used for survival analysis. ResultsMaximum 3D diameter (HR=1.829, 95%CI 1.389-2.408, P＜0.001) and spherical disproportion (HR=2.153, 95%CI 1.474-3.146, P＜0.001) were independent risk factors for DFS in primary gastric GIST. Kaplan-Meier curves showed that patients with maximum 3D diameter＞90.5 mm and spherical disproportion＞1.5 showed shorter DFS after curative resection (P＜0.001). ConclusionMaximum 3D diameter and spherical disproportion based on preoperative enhanced CT are valuable in the diagnosis of postoperative DFS in primary gastric GIST.

Abstract:Purpose Tumor size is an important prognostic factor without consideration of the necrotic and cystic components within tumor for patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs). We aimed to extract the enhancing viable component from the tumor using computed tomography (CT) post-processing software and evaluate the value of preoperative CT features for predicting the disease-free survival (DFS) after curative resection for patients with primary gastric GISTs. Methods 132 Patients with primary gastric GISTs who underwent preoperative contrast-enhanced CT and curative resection were retrospectively analyzed. We used a certain CT attenuation of 30 HU to extract the enhancing tissue component from the tumor. Enhancing tissue volume and other CT features were assessed on venous-phase images. We evaluated the value of preoperative CT features for predicting the DFS after surgery. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses were performed to find the independent risk factor for predicting the DFS. Results Of the 132 patients, 68 were males and 64 were females, with a mean age of 61 years. The median follow-up duration was 60 months, and 28 patients experienced disease recurrence and distant metastasis during the follow-up period. Serosal invasion ( p < 0.001; HR = 5.277) and enhancing tissue volume ( p = 0.005; HR = 1.447) were the independent risk factors for predicting the DFS after curative resection for patients with primary gastric GISTs. Conclusion Preoperative contrast-enhanced CT could be useful for predicting the DFS after the surgery of gastric GISTs, and serosal invasion and enhancing tissue volume were the independent risk factors.
Neonatal Mechanical Ventilation: Indications and Outcome

Abstract:Background and Aims: Decreasing mortality in sick and ventilated neonates is an endeavor of all neonatologists. To reduce the high mortality in this group of neonates, identification of risk factors is important. This study was undertaken to find out the indications of ventilation and complications in ventilated neonates and also study possible predictors of outcome. Subjects: Age <1-month; mechanically ventilated; not having suspected metabolic disorders or congenital anomalies; excluding postoperative patients. Methods: Neonates consecutively put on mechanical ventilation during the study period (October 2013 to November 2015) were enrolled. Primary diseases of the neonates along with complications present were listed. Clinical and laboratory parameters analyzed to find the predictors of mortality. Results: Total 280 neonates were ventilated. 52.5% were male. Mean age, weight, and gestational age were 21 ± 62 h, 2120 ± 660.5g, and 33.2 ± 4.9 weeks, respectively. 160 (57%) neonates died. Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) (26.7%), sepsis (26.7%), and birth asphyxia (12%) were the most common indications for ventilation. Weight <2000 g, gestation <32 weeks, presence of sepsis, apnea, shock, hypoglycemia, neutropenia, and thrombocytopenia were significantly associated with mortality ( P < 0.05). Resuscitation at birth, seizures, intra ventricular hemorrhage, or did not have a significant association with mortality. Conclusions: Weight <2000 g, gestation <32 weeks, shock, apnea, hypoglycemia, neutropenia, and thrombocytopenia were significant predictors of mortality in ventilated neonates.
Preoperative CT Feature of Incomplete Overlying Enhancing Mucosa As a High-Risk Predictor in Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors of the Stomach

Abstract:To determine whether the CT finding of overlying enhancing gastric mucosa (OEGM) can be used to predict risk stratifications by observing CT features of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) of the stomach. Clinical characteristics and CT features within pathologically demonstrated GISTs were retrospectively reviewed. Risk stratifications were classified into non-high group and high-risk group according to the modified National Institutes of Health criteria. Univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis were performed in order to determine significant predictors for high-risk stratification. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, subgroup analysis, and pathologic-radiologic correlation analysis were all executed. A total of 147 patients were finally enrolled as test subjects. Within the univariate analysis, high-risk tumors tended to have a larger diameter, irregular shape, exophytic growth pattern, present necrosis, incomplete OEGM, tumor vessels, heterogeneous enhancement, and present rupture. According to ROC curve analysis, incomplete OEGM showed the largest area under curve values for diagnosing lesions (0.835; 95% CI, 0.766–0.904; p < 0.001). Multivariate analysis showed that the incomplete OEGM was the strongest independent predictor for high-risk stratification of gastric GISTs (OR = 21.944; 95% CI, 4.344–110.863; p < 0.001). Within the subgroup analysis, incomplete OEGM was more frequently associated with tumors size > 10 cm, irregular shape, exophytic growth pattern, high mitotic count, and disrupted mucosa on pathology. The CT feature of incomplete OEGM is an independent predictive factor for high-risk stratification of gastric GISTs and strongly correlated with pathological mucosal changes. • Preoperative CT features can be helpful in assessment of risk stratifications of gastric GISTs. • OEGM is an independent predictor for high-risk stratification of gastric GISTs. • Incomplete OEGM likely indicates high-risk stratification of gastric GISTs.
Diagnostic Methods for Initial Evaluation of Primary Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To describe the imaging features of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) at initial presentation with clinical, surgical, and pathologic correlation, and to evaluate values of various techniques in GISTs.METHODS:This retrospective study recruited 70 patients with histologically proved GISTs between December 2004, and May 2009 in the Department of General Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan Univeristy, Shanghai, China. Each patient underwent CT scanning, 39 patients underwent simultaneous endoscopy, 12 patients underwent endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and 36 patients underwent transabdominal ultrasonography (TAUS) simultaneously. Features of GISTs were assessed.RESULTS:Computerized tomography findings showed an eccentric mass in 44 patients, an intraluminal component in 24, and a transmural distribution in 2. Forty-two tumors were dumbbell-shaped, 2 were round, while 26 were irregular. Forty-three tumors presented with well-defined masses, while 27 with unclear borders. The arterial phase attenuation showed the continuous enhancement. The portal-venous phase attenuation was heterogeneous in 26 and homogeneous in the other 44. There was a significant correlation between certain CT features and tumor risk stratification. Gastrointestinal stromal tumors were characterized by a smooth shape and normal overlying mucosa in endoscopy, hypoechoic, and solid in TAUS.CONCLUSION:Imaging examinations are pivotal in the management of GISTs. The CT scan is valuable in the diagnosis, staging, and treatment planning of GISTs. Endoscopy and EUS contribute to the detection of mucosal lesions. Other methods including TAUS, fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography, CT gastrography, and MRI help in specific cases.

Abstract:Purpose To examine the value of spectral CT quantitative parameters in gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) risk classification. Materials and methods This retrospective study was approved by the institutional review board. The requirement for informed consent was signed. The authors evaluated 86 patients (30 high risk, 22 medium risk, 28 low risk, and 6 very low risk; mean age: 59 years [range 19–83 years]) with pathologically confirmed GIST who underwent plain and triple-phase contrast-enhanced CT with spectral CT imaging mode from March 2015 through September 2017, with manual follow-up. Quantitative parameters including the CT value of 70 keV monochromatic images, the slope of spectral curves, and the normalized iodine concentration (NIC) and water (iodine) concentrations were measured and calculated, and conducted a power analysis of the above data. Results (1) The CT values at 70 keV of the high-risk group were higher than the intermediate and low groups in each of the enhanced phases ( P ≤ 0.001), no significant differences in the intermediate-risk and low-risk groups were noted ( P = 0.874, 0.871, 0.831, respectively). (2) The slope of the spectral curve of the high-risk group was higher than those of the intermediate and low groups in each of the enhanced phases ( P ≤ 0.001), and there were no significant differences between the intermediate- and low-risk groups ( P = 0.069, 0.466, 0.840, respectively). (3) The NIC of the high-risk group significantly differed from the lower risk groups ( P ≤ 0.001). There was also no significant difference observed between the intermediate- and low-risk groups ( P = 0.671, 0.457, 0.833, respectively). (4) The power analysis results show that only the low-risk group with delay period is 0.530, the rest groups are all greater than 0.999. Conclusion Dual-energy spectral CT with quantitative analysis may help to increase the accuracy in differentiating the pathological risk classification of GIST between high risk and non-high risk, preoperatively. There were limitations for distinguishing the intermediate- and low-risk groups.

Abstract:Background: Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), which are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the digestive system, are classified as very low, low, intermediate and high risk. The treatment and prognosis of GISTs vary according to the grade. Objectives: To investigate the capability of computed tomography (CT)-based texture analysis for predicting the grade of GISTs, and compare the findings with a combination model consisting of CT signs and texture parameters. Patients and Methods: For this retrospective study, a total of 168 patients (training group: n =117; validation group: n = 51) with pathologically proven GISTs were analyzed. Patients were randomly divided into the potential malignant and malignant group. Radiomics signature based on texture features and the combination model consisting of selected CT signs and texture parameters were developed with the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (Lasso) regression. The prediction performance of models was evaluated by the area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC). Calibration was evaluated with the Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test. Results: Totally, 29 texture features and seven CT signs were extracted. Texture features of sphericity, compacity, contrast, and dissimilarity, and CT signs of size, and location were selected to develop the predictive models. The rad- and pre-scores were calculated for the radiomics signature and combination model based on the validation group. Both two models hold great prediction performance with AUCs of 0.897 and 0.959 (P < 0.05), sensitivities of 76.20% and 90.50%, specificities of 90.0% and 93.30%, accuracies of 84.30% and 90.20%, respectively. The combination model performed better. Calibration curves showed no statistically significant differences between the two models (P> 0.05). Conclusion: The prediction models were validated to be valuable for risk grade of GISTs and may provide non-invasive and practical biomarkers for optimizing the treatment strategy and improving the prognosis. In addition, the combination model had more advantages than texture analysis alone.
Tumor Sites and Microscopic Indicators Are Independent Prognosis Predictors of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors

Abstract:Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are the most common among gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumors, but its prognosis has not been accurately predicted by the current risk stratification guidelines, National Institutes of Health classification. In this study, we evaluated the predictive factors for GIST prognosis in a retrospective analysis of 332 patients. The data collected included tumor sites, including the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, and extragastrointestinal sites; tumor size; microscopic indicators for malignant tumor behavior, such as the number of dividing cells, cell necrosis, atypical morphology, and invasion into the muscular or mucous layer; and previously established immunohistochemical indicators, CD117, CD34, and discovered on GIST-1 (DOG-1). No single occurrence of any microscopic indicators correlated with the prognosis of GIST; however, the total number of microscopic indicators was a significant prognostic factor of GIST (P < 0.001). Regarding the tumor sites, the order of prognostic risk (from the lowest to the highest) was as follows: the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, extragastrointestinal sites, and colorectum. The association between tumor sites and prognosis was significant (P < 0.001). On the other hand, the expression of CD117 or CD34 was not associated with the risk of GIST. Importantly, 91% of the patients (302/332) showed the expression of DOG-1, and the lack of DOG-1 expression was associated with poor prognosis (P < 0.05). In conclusion, both tumor sites and total number of microscopic indicators are independent risk factors associated with the prognosis of GIST. The lack of DOG-1 expression may be predictive of malignant outcome.
Texture Analysis of CT Images in Predicting Malignancy Risk of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumours

Abstract:AIM: To explore the role of texture analysis of computed tomography (CT) images in predicting the malignancy risk of gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs). MATERIALS AND METHODS: Seventy-eight patients with histopathologically confirmed GISTs underwent preoperative CT. Texture analysis was performed on unenhanced and contrast-enhanced CT images, respectively. Fourteen CT texture parameters were obtained and compared among GISTs at different malignancy risks with one-way analysis of variance or independent-samples Kruskal-Wallis test. Correlations between CT texture parameters and malignancy risk were analysed with Spearman's correlation test. Diagnostic performance of CT texture parameters in differentiating GISTs at low/very low malignancy risk was tested with receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis. RESULTS: Three parameters on unenhanced images (r=-0.268-0.506), four parameters on arterial phase (r=-0.365-0.508), and six parameters on venous phase (r=-0.343-0.481) imaging correlated significantly with malignancy risk of GISTs, respectively (all p<0.05). For identifying GISTs at low/very low malignancy risk, three parameters on unenhanced images (area under ROC curve [AUC], 0.676-0.802), four parameters on arterial phase (AUC, 0.637-0.811), and six parameters on venous phase (AUC, 0.636-0.791) imaging showed significant diagnostic performance, respectively (all p<0.05), especially maximum frequency on both unenhanced and contrast-enhanced images (AUC, 0.791-0.811). Abstract:The commonly used radiological examinations for gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) include ultrasound, CT, magnetic resonance imaging and PET, which play important roles in the individualized treatment of GIST through the assistance of the detection, location, diagnose and differential diagnosis, biological behavior and risk evaluation, operation planning, therapeutic effects prediction and follow-up. Standardized predisposal, multi-planar reconstruction and multi-phase enhancement are of great significance in the detection of small GIST lesions. Differences in drainage vessels and enhancement characteristics of tumors are helpful in differentiating small intestinal GIST from pancreatic cancer, neuroendocrine tumors and other abdominal non-GIST tumors. Radiology can provide multiple indicators to qualitatively or quantitatively reflect the risk of GIST. Recent study found that the risk classification of GIST has correlation with necrosis, but not cystic degeneration. The risk stratification of GIST by dual-energy CT showed that CT value and standardized iodine concentration in arterial-venous and delayed phases of high-risk tumors were significantly higher than those of non-high-risk tumors. The correlation between tumor enhancement pattern and risk stratificationwas still controversial. Recently, the rise of radiomics and deep learning techniques provide new direction for risk assessment of GIST. Some studies used various models and parameters to predict the risk classifications of GIST and achieved AUC values above 0.85, and some results were also superior to conventional indicators and radiologists' subjective judgment in the prediction of exon 11 mutations, mitotic counts and survivals. Recent developments in PET and diffusion-weighted MRI provide more precise functional quantitative indicators for the prediction and early evaluation of the response of GIST to targeted therapy. These studies are constantly expanding our field of exploration, and prompting us to stride toward the goal of individualized treatment of GIST.
Predictive Value of Two-Phase Contrast Enhanced MSCT in Different Risk of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors

Abstract:Purpose To investigate the predictive value of contrast enhanced multi-slice computed tomography(MSCT) in gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs) of different risks by analyzing the MSCT manifestations of high-risk,intermediated-risk and low-risk of GISTs.Materials and Methods The contrast enhanced MSCT scanning data of 57 cases of primary GISTs confirmed by pathology and compared with different risk of pathologic findings were retrospectively studied.Analyzing the MSCT features based on histopathological classification of the different risk groups and using statistics to compare the differences.Results All GIST cases were single lesion at single region,including 27 low-risk,12 imtermediated-risk and 18 high-risk lesions.GISTs which including different size,surrounding fat interspace,enhanced pattern and appearance vessel-like artery shadow at arterial phase between different risk groups were statistically different(P<0.05),while growth pattern,shape,calcification and ulcer,plain scan density,CT values of arterial and venous phase,ΔCT(arterial phase-plain scan) and ΔCT(venous phase-plain scan) were without statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusions There are differences of contrast enhanced MSCT findings between different risks of GISTs.Large GIST lesions with irregular shape,significant heterogeneous enhancement and appearance vessel-like artery shadow at arterial phase are prompting high-risk lesions.We should synthesize multiple MSCT imaging findings while evaluating the risk of GISTs.
