Abstract:Background: To investigate the causal association and potential mechanisms of fatty acid intake, genetic factors with cancer risk.MethodsFirstly, both large-scale case-control (10,303 cases and 18,551 controls) and prospective cohort studies (139,752 participants) were performed to explore the associations between dietary fat, genetic risks and multiple cancer types, especially in colorectal cancer (CRC). Furthermore, the risk predictive models were constructed for CRC risk stratification. Finally, we elucidated the potential biological mechanisms by integrating multi-omics data from mice interfered with high-fat diet.Findings: A total of 168,606 participants (56.11±7.90 years; 55.67% female) were included in the study. The results showed significant associations between dietary fat intake and multiple cancer incidences. Remarkably, the HR (95% CI) of incident CRC in subjects with saturated fatty acid (SFA) is 1.22 (1.02-1.46). Additionally, compared with participants at low genetic risk, those at high genetic risk had a greater risk of CRC with the HR of 2.34 (1.90-2.88). Noticeably, a significant multiplicative interaction of genetic risk and SFA intake with incident CRC risk was found (P Interaction =7.59×10-20), observing that participants with high genetic risk and high SFA intake had a 3.75-fold greater risk of CRC than those with low genetic risk and low SFA intake. Furthermore, incorporating PRS and SFA to traditional clinical risk factors significantly improved the discriminatory accuracy for CRC risk stratification (AUC from 0.706 to 0.731). Mechanistically, the exposure of SFA-rich high-fat dietary (HFD) can responsively induce epigenome reprogramming of some oncogenes and pathological activation of fatty acid metabolism pathway, with an increase in the Firmicutes / Bacteroidetes ratio and abnormal glycerophospholipid metabolism. Single-cell profiling revealed that immune cells undergo unique metabolic adaptations in response to HFD.Interpretation: High SFA intake could increase CRC risk, especially in subjects with high genetic risk. Visfatin is Involved in Promotion of Colorectal Carcinoma Malignancy Through an Inducing EMT Mechanism.

Abstract:Increasing evidences suggested visfatin, a newly discovered obesity-induced adipocytokine, is involved in promotion of cancer malignancy and correlated with worse clinical prognosis. While its effects and mechanisms on progression of colorectal cancer (CRC) remain unclear. Our clinical data show that visfatin protein is over expressed, positive associated with lymph node metastasis, high-grade tumor, and poor prognosis in 87 CRC patients. The levels of plasma visfatin are significantly upregulated in Stage IV colon cancer. Visfatin can significantly promote the in vitro migration and invasion of CRC cells via induction epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT). It can increase the expression and nuclear translocation of Snail, a key transcription factor in regulating EMT. While silencing of Snail attenuates visfatin induced EMT. Further studies reveal visfatin can inhibit the association of Snail with GSK-3β and subsequently suppress ubiquitylation of Snail. In addition, visfatin can increase the expression and nuclear translocation of β-catenin, elevate its binding with Snail promoter, and then increase the transcription of Snail. While inhibitor of PI3K/Akt, LY294002, abolishes visfatin induced up regulation of Snail, Vimentin (Vim), β-catenin, and phosphorylated GSK-3β. In summary, our data suggest that increased expression of visfatin are associated with a more aggressive phenotype of CRC patients. It can trigger the EMT of CRC cells via Akt/GSK-3β/β-catenin signals.
Preoperative serum visfatin levels and prognosis of breast cancer among Chinese women.

Abstract:Objective. Visfatin, a newly discovered adipocytokine, is thought to play a role in the pathogenesis of metabolic-syndrome-related cancers. The aim of this study was to assess the clinical significance of serum levels and tissue expression of visfatin in relation to endometrial cancer (EC).Methods. A total of 234 EC patients were included in this study. Serum visfatin, metabolic and anthropometric parameters were measured in EC patients and controls. Serum visfatin levels were detected using ELISA. Tissue expression of visfatin was analyzed using immunohistochemistry in tissue microarrays. The correlation between clinicopathological variables and visfatin in EC tissues and the prognostic value of visfatin for overall survival was evaluated.Results. Serum levels of visfatin were significantly higher in EC patients than in controls (P<0.05). In univariate and multivariate logistic regression models, a positive association between EC and serum visfatin, BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, diabetes, and hypertension was evident (P<0.05). Visfatin expression was significantly higher in EC tissue than in normal endometrial tissue (P=0.001). Moreover, serum visfatin levels were significantly positively correlated with tissue expression of visfatin in EC patients (P<0.05). High visfatin expression in EC tissues was significantly associated with advanced FIGO stage (P=0.016) and myometrial invasion >= 1/2 (P=0.023). The overall survival rate of EC patients was significantly higher in the group with negative visfatin expression than with positive visfatin expression (P=0.035).Conclusions. Visfatin is a potential serum biomarker and prognostic factor for EC that may indicate high risk for EC and EC progression. It may also be a novel potential therapeutic target for EC. Abstract:The research is to investigate the association between plasma concentrations of total and high-molecular-weight (HMW) adiponectin and risk of early and advanced colorectal cancer. One hundred and sixty-five male colorectal cancer patients and one hundred and two controls were enrolled; based on the T factor of the TNM system, intraepithelial carcinoma and submucosally invasive carcinoma were defined as early cancer, and invasion into the muscularis propria or deeper was defined as advanced cancer. The plasma levels of glucose, fasting insulin, total cholesterol, triglyceride, and total and HMW adiponectin levels were measured. Each factor level was designated as low or high, and the risk of cancer was estimated by univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses. In the patients with early cancer, high waist/hip ratio (WHR), high fasting insulin, high HOMA model insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR), low total adiponectin and HMW adiponectin were all associated with a significant increase in the odds ratio (OR) by univariate analysis. In multivariate analysis, WHR, HOMA-IR, total adiponectin and HMW adiponectin were all related to increased cancer risk. However, in the patients with advanced cancer, only low HMW adiponectin was associated with a significant increase in the OR by univariate analysis. In multivariate analysis, a low HMW adiponectin level was still related to increased cancer risk, with an adjusted OR of 3.971 (P = 0.036). In conclusion, a decreased level of adiponectin was a strong risk factor not only for early colorectal cancer but also for advanced colorectal in Chinese male patients. HMW adiponectin might be more closely associated with colorectal cancer risk than total adiponectin.

Abstract:Objective To investigate the plasma concentration of visfatin in obesity patients and non-obesity controls and its correlation with the metabolic characteristics of obesity.Methods The height,body weight,waistline,and blood pressure of 171 healthy subjects were measured,and the BMI and WHR were calculated.The serum levels of FPG,Fins,TC,TG,LDL-c and HDL-c were also measured.The serum level of Visfatin was measured with ELISA assay,and its correlation with BMI,WHR and metabolic indexes was analyzed.Results(1)The MI,WHR,FPG,Fins and UA were significantly higher and the HDL-c level was significantly lower in obesity group than non-obesity group.(2)Plasma levels of visfatin in obesity group was a little higher than non-obesity group,but the difference had no statistical significance(2.88±0.86 vs.2.69±0.89,P=0.180).(3)In obesity group,fasting plasma visfatin was correlated positively with hip circumference and diastolic blood pressure.Multiple regression analysis showed hip circumference was an independent factor influencing plasma visfatin level.Conclusions There is no significant difference in the plasma levels of visfatin between obesity and non-obesity people.In obesity patients,hip circumference is the main factor influencing plasma visfatin level.

Abstract:Visfatin is a cytokine secreted by visceral adipose tissue, which plays an important role in obesity, diabetes, insulin resistance, atherosclerosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome.Additionally, visfatin is also involved in the metabolic syndrome-associated malignancies such as breast, colon, gastric and endometrial cancers.Visfatin inhibitor might be a potential antitumor therapeutic strategy for inhibiting the growth of many cancers.
The Association Between Chinese Patients' Elevated Omentin-1 Levels, Their Clinicopathological Features, and the Risk of Colorectal Cancer.

Abstract:To investigate the association between plasma omentin-1 levels and the risk of colorectal cancer (CRC) and the pathological changes of CRC, a total of 358 colorectal adenocarcinoma patients were included in the experience group, and 286 people were included in the control group. Their levels of omentin-1, adiponectin, visfatin, leptin, and their anthropometric and metabolic parameters were determined, and we analyzed the tertile distributions in the control group, according to the different levels: low, medium, and high. The results showed that the omentin-1 levels in patients with CRC were higher than the levels in the controls [(67.28 ± 32.25) vs (33.16 ± 19.93) ng/mL, P = 0.005]. The patients with the highest concentration of omentin-1 presented significantly higher odds for CRC, adjusted for potential confounding factors for CRC (odds ratio: 5.76; 95% CI 1.81-8.95; P = 0.001). The plasma omentin-1 level in CRC yielded a receiver operating characteristic curve area of 88.4%. The optimal sensitivity and specificity were 81.2% and 69.8% in discriminating CRC from the normal control. A high omentin-1 level was significantly associated the increasing stage of colorectal adenocarcinomas and the depth of invasion (P = 0.005, 0.026, respectively). The present study suggests an increased level of omentin-1 not only was a strong risk factor for CRC but could also represent a potential biomarker for CRC stage progression and CRC diagnosis in Chinese patients.

Abstract:AIMS:Visfatin is a newly discovered adipokine found in abundance in visceral fat. It lowers plasma glucose in humans and mice. In this study, we explored the relationships between the plasma level of visfatin and genetic single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and anthropometric and metabolic parameters in Chinese subjects.METHODS:Oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTT) and biochemical assays for plasma insulin, lipid profiles and serum visfatin were performed in 241 newly diagnosed T2DM patients, subjects with impaired glucose regulation (IGR), and normal glucose tolerant subjects more than 40 years of age. Genotyping for three SNP loci: -1535C/T, rs2058539 and rs10953502 were performed using the allele-specific real-time PCR method.RESULTS:Visfatin levels were similar in T2DM patients, IGR and normal glucose tolerant subjects. However, visfatin levels were significantly lower in obese than normal-weight subjects (13.66 +/- 0.87 vs. 15.46 +/- 0.47 ng/ml, P = 0.03). There was suggestively significant correlation between visfatin level and body mass index (r = -0.17 P = 0.07) and waist-hip ratio (r = 0.16 P = 0.08) in male subjects, but not in female subjects. Allele and common haplotype frequencies of the three SNP loci were similar in T2DM patients, IGR and normal glucose tolerant subjects. However, significant associations were found between these three SNP loci and plasma glucose concentration at 0 and 120 min during OGTT, the area under the response curve for plasma glucose, and triglyceride and total cholesterol levels.CONCLUSIONS:Serum visfatin levels may be related to visceral obesity in men, and the visfatin gene may account for variation of glucose and lipid parameters in Chinese subjects.

Abstract:Visfatin is considered a pro-inflammatory adipocytokine, and it is commonly increased in obesity-related diseases. This study aimed to evaluate the levels of serum visfatin in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and its diagnostic and predictive value in detecting HCC. Fasting serum levels of visfatin of 135 HCC patients, 115 chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients, 129 liver cirrhosis (LC) patients, and 149 healthy controls were determined via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Meanwhile, serum alpha fetal protein (AFP) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) were also assayed. The median serum visfatin concentration in HCC patients was 1.113 ng/mL (range: 0.823-2.214 ng/mL), which was significant higher than those of healthy controls, CHB patients, and LC patients (P<0.05). The serum visfatin concentration in HCC patients was positively correlated with AFP (r=0.595, P<0.001) and IL-6 (r=0.261, P<0.015) and was also associated with tumor size and tumor node metastasis stage. Moreover, elevated levels of serum visfatin were associated with a higher HCC risk for CHB and LC patients. Multivariate Cox regression analysis had shown that HCC patients with high levels of serum visfatin had significantly shorter overall survival times than those with low serum visfatin levels (P<0.001). Using a cutoff visfatin level of 1.403 ng/mL, the receiver operating characteristic curve analysis showed unappealing sensitivity and specificity values (45.76% and 74.79%, respectively; AUC=0.626) regarding visfatin's use as a diagnostic marker for HCC. Our results indicate that increased serum visfatin levels are associated with poor prognosis of HCC. Visfatin may be a potential therapeutic target of HCC.

Abstract:Background: The rate of incidence of metabolic dysfunction-related fatty liver disease (MAFLD) has rapidly increased globally in recent years, but early diagnosis is still a challenge. The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to identify visfatin for early diagnosis of MAFLD. Methods: We strictly adhered to the relevant requirements of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. The systematic search was conducted in 7 sources (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, CNKI, Wanfang, CBM, and ClinicalTrials.gov) until February 2024. The meta-analysis was performed using Stata 12. Outcomes were expressed in the form of standardized mean difference (SMD) and 95% confidence interval and were analyzed using meta-analysis. Results: The results showed that there was no significant difference in circulating visfatin levels between patients with MAFLD and controls (SMD = 0.13 [-0.34, 0.60]). However, the outcomes indicated that the level of circulating visfatin was significantly higher in MAFLD patients in the Middle Eastern subgroup (SMD = 0.45 [0.05, 0.85]) and in the obese patient subgroup (SMD = 1.05 [0.18, 1.92]). No publication bias was detected, and sensitivity analysis confirmed the stability of the outcomes. Conclusion: The serum visfatin levels of MAFLD patients did not differ significantly from those of controls. However, visfatin concentrations in serum were statistically higher within Middle Eastern or obese MAFLD patients compared to controls. There is a need for further research to investigate visfatin's potential as a biomarker for MAFLD.
Association of body composition indicators with colorectal cancer: a hospital-based case-control study

Abstract:Purpose: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a common malignancy that affects adults worldwide, causing a high disease burden. Few studies have examined the relationship between body composition (BC) measures and the prevalence of CRC. Our purpose was to investigate the relationship between pertinent BC indicators and CRC. Methods: Bioelectrical impedance analysis, laboratory test results, face-to-face questionnaire investigation, and nutritional risk assessment (Nutritional Risk Screening 2002 and Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment) were used in this case-control study. Bioelectrical impedance analysis in the case group was performed prior to antitumor therapy/surgery. Results: From June 2018 to January 2019, a total of 303 cases and 286 controls were included. The results showed that low body fat percentage (BFP) and high visceral adiposity index (VAI) groups had a higher risk of developing CRC in comparison to the normal BFP and normal VAI groups. The risk of CRC decreased with the increase of BFP. The group with a normal BC had a lower risk of developing CRC compared to those with a greater VAI and a lower BFP, as indicated by the results of the pairwise and total combinations of VAI, fat-free mass index (FFMI), and BFP. Additionally, FFMI and VAI had positive correlations with prealbumin, serum albumin, and nutritional risk scores. Conclusion: Low BFP and high VAI are associated with higher CRC risk. FFMI and VAI are positively correlated with prealbumin, serum albumin, and nutritional risk scores in CRC patients.
Plasma Folate Concentrations and Colorectal Cancer Risk: A Case-Control Study Nested Within the Shanghai Men'S Health Study

Abstract:Previous epidemiological studies of circulating folate concentration and colorectal cancer have reported inconsistent results. We evaluated associations of prediagnostic plasma folate concentration with colorectal cancer risk in a case‐control study nested within the Shanghai Men's Health Study (2002–2010). Included herein are 288 cases who were diagnosed with incident colorectal cancer and 575 controls who were individually matched to cases on baseline characteristics. Folate concentrations in plasma were measured by microbiological assay. Multivariate conditional logistic regression was used to assess associations of plasma folate concentrations with colorectal cancer risk. Plasma folate was nonsignificantly but positively associated with colorectal cancer risk. Odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were 1.38 (0.95–2.02) for the middle tertile of plasma folate concentrations and 1.33 (0.90–1.98) for the highest compared to the lowest tertile. The positive association reached statistical significance for the highest tertile of folate concentrations for men with late‐stage colorectal cancer (OR = 2.66; 95% CI = 1.03–6.86) and for the middle tertile for cases diagnosed within the first 4 years after blood collection (OR = 1.72; 95% CI = 1.02–2.92) and for men in the high BMI group (OR = 1.88; 95% CI = 1.14–3.11). In our study population, where folic acid fortification of the food supply and vitamin supplement use are uncommon, plasma folate concentration was positively associated with colorectal cancer risk among men who may have had preneoplastic lesions. These findings need to be confirmed in studies with specific assessment of preneoplastic lesions and repeated measurements of folate level over time.

Abstract:Previous investigations mainly focused on the associations of dietary fatty acids with colorectal cancer (CRC) risk, which ignored gene-environment interaction and mechanisms interpretation. We conducted a case-control study (751 cases and 3058 controls) and a prospective cohort study (125 021 participants) to explore the associations between dietary fatty acids, genetic risks, and CRC. Results showed that high intake of saturated fatty acid (SFA) was associated with a higher risk of CRC than low SFA intake (HR =1.22, 95% CI:1.02-1.46). These findings suggest that individuals with high genetic risk of CRC may benefit from reducing SFA intake. The incorporation of SFA intake and PRS into traditional clinical risk factors will help improve high-risk sub-populations in individualized CRC prevention.
Role of Visfatin in Promoting Proliferation and Invasion of Colorectal Cancer Cells by Downregulating SDF-1/CXCR4-mediated Mir-140-3p Expression.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:Visfatin is significantly upregulated in colorectal cancer (CRC). However, its exact role in CRC progression and the regulatory mechanism involved in this process have not been fully illuminated. The aim of this study was to investigate the roles of visfatin in CRC progression and the potential molecular mechanism.MATERIALS AND METHODS:In vitro, two CRC cell lines (DLD-1 and SW480) were transfected with visfatin, si-visfatin, and their control vectors. Some cells were transfected with miR-140-3p mimics or miRNA negative control. Cell Counting Kit-8 and transwell invasive assays were used to detect cell proliferation and invasion ability. Luciferase reporter assays were performed to confirm whether CXC motif chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) directly targets miR-140-3p. Western blotting and qRT-PCR analyses were respectively conducted to evaluate the protein and mRNA levels of stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1) and CXCR4. In vivo, DLD-1 cells transfected with visfatin construct or vector control were inoculated into nude mice. After 5 weeks, the mice were sacrificed, and the tumor nodules were weighed. The expression of visfatin, SDF-1, and CXCR4 in tumor tissues was detected via immunohistochemistry analysis.RESULTS:In vitro, the transfection of visfatin promoted the proliferation and invasion of CRC cells, as well as upregulated the expression of SDF-1/CXCR4. MiR-140-3p directly targets the 3'untranslated region of CXCR4. MiR-140-3p expression was downregulated by treatment with visfatin, and miR-140-3p exerted similar effects to those of visfatin knockdown on the proliferation and invasion of CRC cells. In vivo, visfatin stimulated CRC tumor growth and downregulated miR-140-3p expression, whereas it upregulated SDF-1/CXCR4 expression.CONCLUSIONS:Visfatin promotes CRC progression by downregulating the SDF-1/CXCR4-mediated expression of miR-140-3p both in vitro and in vivo.

Abstract:The plasma visfatin,endothelium-dependent artery dilation and intima-media thickness of common carotid arteries were measured in first-degree relatives of type 2 diabetes,obese patients and control subjects.Regional body fat were detected by MRI.The result suggested that plasma visfatin levels were significantly higher in obese subjects than those in non-obese subjects,and hypervisfatinemia is independently associated with fasting blood glucose.

Abstract:5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) is the preferred chemotherapeutic drug used in the treatment of colon cancer; however, drug resistance affects its clinical efficacy. Visfatin, an adipokine that promotes tumour development, has the potential to increase resistance to chemotherapy. The present study aimed to verify the effects of visfatin on the sensitivity of colon cancer cells to 5-FU and to elucidate the potential mechanisms involved. Tissue microarrays (TMAs) were used to analyse visfatin differential expression in normal colon and colon cancer tissues, and the data were further validated in vitro. Cell Counting Kit-8, clone formation, caspase-3/7 activity assays, as well as other analyses were used to verify the effects of visfatin on sensitivity to 5-FU. TMA and correlation analyses were used to predict and verify the correlation between visfatin and stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1). Rescue experiments and PI3K/Akt inhibitors were used to verify the role of the visfatin/SDF-1/Akt axis in the sensitivity of colon cancer cells to 5-FU. Visfatin was found to be highly expressed in colon cancer tissues and cell lines. Moreover, visfatin knockdown increased apoptosis, reduced cell proliferation and enhanced the chemosensitivity of DLD-1 and SW48 cells to 5-FU. A positive correlation between visfatin and SDF-1 was observed, with the knockdown of visfatin enhancing cell sensitivity to 5-FU chemotherapy by targeting the SDF-1/C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4) axis. Furthermore, the Akt signalling pathway downstream of SDF-1/CXCR4 proved to be critical in the decreased sensitisation of colon cancer cells to 5-FU induced by visfatin. On the whole, the present study demonstrates that visatin can potentially decrease colon cancer cell apoptosis, promote proliferation and decrease colon cancer cell sensitivity to 5-FU via the visfatin/SDF-1/Akt axis.

Abstract:Background: Visfatin is a newly identified pro-inflammatory adipokine expressed predominantly in visceral fat. Previous studies have suggested a role for visfatin in low-grade inflammation and regulation of lipid metabolism. Most recently, a genetic polymorphism - 1535C>T located in the visfatin gene promoter has been identified. and suggested to be associated with the regulation of visfatin expression, lipid levels. However, it is unclear whether this polymorphism has a linkage with CAD.Methods: We conducted a hospital-based case-control study with 257 CAD patients and 292 controls to examine the potential association of the Visfatin - 1535C>T polymorphism with CAD.Results: The frequencies of the CC, CT, and TT genotypes in cases were significantly different from those of controls (chi(2)=6.223, P=0.045). Subjects with the variant genotypes (CT+TT) had a 40% decreased risk of CAD relative to CC carriers (adjusted OR = 0.60, 95%CI = 0.40-0.89). Furthermore, the adjusted OR of a TT genotype for CAD was 0.52 (95%CI=0.31-0.87). There was a significant association between Visfatin -1535C>T polymorphism and triglyceride levels in both CAD patients and controls (P=0.003, 0.018, respectively). In stratified analyses, the T allele was significantly associated with reduced risk of CAD in males, subjects with age <59years, and non-smokers. Moreover, a borderline statistical significance (P=0.058 for trend) was observed between the variant genotypes and severity of CAD.Conclusion: Our results suggested that Visfatin - 1535C>T polymorphism might be associated with reduced risk of CAD in a Chinese population. Abstract:Objective: To investigate the visfatin expression in gastric cancer and its signiifcance as well as its relation with p53. <br> Methods: hTe expressions of visfatin and mutant p53 in 68 tissue specimens of gastric cancer and their adjacent normal gastric mucosa were examined by immunohistochemical staining, the relations of visfatin expression with the clinicopathologic factors and p53 expression were analyzed, and the inlfuences of visfatin and p53 expression on the survival of the patients were also analyzed. hTe visfatin expression in different human gastric cell lines and normal gastric mucosal cells was detected by immunolfuorescent assay and Western blot analysis respectively, and the alterations in proliferation and colony-forming ability as well as p53 expression were determined in gastric cancer cells atfer exposure to the visfatin speciifc inhibitor FK886. <br> Results: hTe positive expression rate of either visfatin or p53 expression in gastric cancer tissue was signiifcantly higher than that in normal gastric mucosa (bothP<0.05), and both expressions were significantly associated with invasion depth, lymph node metastasis and TNM stage (allP<0.05), moreover, there was a significant positive correlation between visfatin and p53 expressions in gastric cancer tissue (r=0.404,P=0.001); the median survival time in patients with visfatin or p53 positive expression was signiifcantly shortened compared with those with their opposite condition (bothP<0.05), and the combination analysis of visfatin and p53 showed that the median survival time decreased in a descending order in patients with both negative expression, one of the two positive expression and both positive expression (χ2=15.83,P=0.000). Both results from immunolfuorescence and Western blot showed that the visfatin expression levels in all studied gastric cell lines were signiifcantly higher than that in normal gastric mucosal cells with varying degrees (allP<0.05), which was highest in BGC823 cells;atfer FK866 treatment, the proliferation and colony-forming ability were signiifcantly decreased, and p53 protein expression was signiifcantly up-regulated in BGC823 cells (allP<0.05). <br> Conclusion: hTe visfatin expression is increased in gastric cancer tissue, which may synergistically interact with p53 to contribute to the progression of gastric cancer.
