Abstract:A new species of the genus Nilothauma Kieffer, N. pandum sp. n., is described, and its morphological descriptions and illustrations are also given. A key to the males of Nilothauma is given. The adult male of N. pandum sp. n. can be distinguished from known species of the genus by the following combination of characters: anal point very broadly lanceolate with microtrichia in median ridge and apical margin, rounded at apex; superior volsella pad-like, expanded distally; median volsella curved, rounded at apex, with 2 long basal setae and 1 long median seta.

Abstract:Two new species of Stenochironomus Kieffer (Diptera: Chironomidae: Chironominae), S. brevissimus sp. n. and S. linanensis sp. n., are described from China and the male imagines are illustrated. S. brevissimus sp. n. can be separated from the so far known species by having very short and small, spatulate superior volsella with two long setae, whereas S. linanensis sp. n. is easily separated from the other species of Stenochironomus by the following characters: wings transparent, body yellow, superior volsella finger-like, with nine long setae, elongated inferior volsella with four long setae and one well developed terminal spine; tergite IX with 10−15 long setae medially. A key to the males of Stenochironomus occurring in China is given.

Abstract:Two new species of Eukiefferiella Thienemann, E. camuraloba sp. nov. and E. tianmuensis sp. nov., are described and illustrated as male image from China. E. camuraloba sp. nov. can be separated from the previously known species of the whole genus in having the approximatively triangular and curved apically inferior volsella; E. tianmuensis sp. nov. is easily separated from the other species of the genus as following characters: mid and hind legs with 2 pseudospurs on ta1, ta2 and ta3; length of ta4 shorter than ta5 in all legs; inferior volsella trapeziform.

Abstract:Previously only two species of Chrysotus were known to occur in Guangxi of China. Here a revision of the genus from Guangxi is presented. Eight species are herein reported. The following three species are described as new to science: Chrysotus guangxiensis sp. nov., Chrysotus triprojicienus sp. nov. and Chrysotus xiaominae sp. nov. Three species are recorded from Guangxi for the first time: Chrysotus biprojicienus Wei et Zhang, Chrysotus shanxiensis Liu et Yang, and Chrysotus motuoensis Liu et Yang. A key to the species of Chrysotus from Guangxi of China is provided. The relationship of the two genera Dubius and Chrysotus is discuss.

Abstract:In the present paper two new species of the family Sciomyzidae from Hebei and Yunnan are described. Type specimens are deposited in the Insect Collection of China Agricultural University. 1. Pherbellia brevistriata , sp. nov. (Figs.1～5) This new species is similar to Pherbellia schoenherri (Fallen), but differ from the latter by the structure of male inner copulatory organ. Posterior part of gonostylus with distinct spines. Mid frontal stripe short, only reaching the middle of frons. Measurements(mm): length of body: ♂2.7, ♀2.8; length of wing: ♂3.0, ♀3.1; width of head: ♂1.4, ♀1.5; highth of head: ♂1.0, ♀1.1. Holotype ♂, Hebei, Xiaowutai mountain Beitai, 16 Ⅷ 1964, collected by Han Yinheng; paratypes 3♂♂, 2♀♀, Hebei, Xiaowutai mountain Beitai, 16 Ⅷ 1964, collected by Han Yinheng and Wang Chunguang. 2. Tetanocera nigrostriata , sp. nov. (Figs.6～11) This new spcies is similar to Tetanocera chosenica Steyskal, but differ from the latter by the shape of pregonite. Gonostylus with blunter spines.
