Abstract:The Zn(II) atom in the title complex, [ZnCl(2)(C(8)H(12)N(4))], is coordinated by two Cl atoms and three N atoms of the N-[1-(pyrazin-2-yl)ethyl-idene]ethane-1,2-diamine ligand, and displays a distorted square-pyramidal geometry with the apical position occupied by a Cl atom. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional framework.
