Abstract:The title complex, [Fe(NCS)(2)(C32H46N4O2)(2)], is a mononuclear iron(II) complex with a distorted octahedral coordination geometry and the central Fe2+ ion, located on an inversion centre, is coordinated by four N atoms and two O atoms from two Schiff-base ligands and two thiocyanate anions. The Schiff base was obtained by condensation of equimolar amounts of salicylaldehyde and N-cyclohexyl-1,3-diaminopropane in acetonitrile. The crystal structure involves intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O and N-H center dot center dot center dot S hydrogen bonds.

Abstract:The title complex, [Cu3(C9H8BrNO4S)2(C7H4BrO2)2(C10H8N2)2]·H2O, lies on an inversion center located on the central Cu atom, which is four-coordinated in a square-planar geometry, whereas the outer Cu atoms related by symmetry are five-coordinated in a square-pyramidal geometry. The trinuclear mol-ecules, with an intramolecular Cu⋯Cu separation of 6.313 (3) Å, are linked to each other, forming a chain through O - H⋯O and O - H⋯Br hydrogen bonds involving the half-occupied water mol-ecule. Futhermore, weak C - H⋯O inter-actions link the chains to form a supra-molecular network.

Abstract:The title compound, [Co(C12H8N2)(3)](C4H2O4)(0.5)(C4H3O4).-1.5C(4)H(4)O(4).4H(2)O, consists of the cobalt(II) complex cation with phenanthroline (phen), half a fumarate dianion, a fumarate monoanion, one and a half fumaric acid molecule and uncoordinated water molecules. The separations of 3.342 (8) and 3.493 (15) Angstrom between the phen rings related by inversion centers indicate the existence of pi-pi-stacking interactions between the neighboring complex ions. These complex molecules assemble as hydrophobic layers via pi-pi stacking. Fumarate, fumaric acid and water are linked to each other to form hydrophilic layers by hydrogen bonding in the crystal structure.

Abstract:In the title complex, [Co(C4H4O4S)(C7H6N2)(3)]center dot 2H(2)O, the Co-II ion is coordinated by one thiodiacetate dianion and three benzimidazole molecules, with a distorted octahedral geometry. The tridentate thiodiacetate chelates to the Co atom in a facial configuration, with a Co-S bond distance of 2.5597 (8) angstrom. Abstract:The title chromium(III) complex, [Cr(C9H6NO)(3)].C2H6O, is isomorphous with the manganese(III) compound [Xiong et al. (1995). Acta Cryst. C51, 1978-1980]. Three 8-quinolinolate ligands chelate the Cr-III atom to form an approximately octahedral coordination geometry. An ethanol solvent molecule hydrogen bonds to the complex with an O...O distance of 2.758 (5) Angstrom and an O-H...O angle of 167degrees. The separation distances of 3.426 (19) and 3.368 (4) Angstrom between parallel quinoline rings suggests the existence of pi-pi stacking between neighboring complex molecules.

Abstract:The title complex, [Ni(C4H4O4S)(C3H4N2)3](H2O)-H-., displays a distorted octahedral NiN3O2S coordination geometry, formed by three imidazole ( imid) ligands and one thiodiacetate dianion. The Ni-II atom is displaced from one of the imid planes, and the angle between the corresponding Ni-N bond and the imid plane is 21.94 (19)degrees. This spatial orientation is stabilized by an intermolecular C-H-...pi interaction between one imid ligand and the C-H bond of an adjacent imid ligand.

Abstract:The title compound Fe(CH4N2S)(2)Cl(2)(.)2(C11H6N2O) (M-r = 643.35) has been prepared and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction method with the following data: triclinic, space group P $(1) over bar $, a = 7.3742(10), b = 13.0427(12), c = 15.215(2) Angstrom, alpha = 88.969(12), beta = 79.004(12), gamma = 79.689(11)degrees, V = 1408.1(3) Angstrom(3), Z = 2, D-x = 1.517 g/cm(3), mu = 0.912 mm(-1) and F(000) = 656. The final R = 0.030 and wR = 0.078 for 4070 observed reflections (I > 2sigma(I)), and R = 0.064 and wR = 0.091 for 5516 independent ones. The crystal consists of tetrahedral Fe(H) complex and hydrogen bonded 4,5-diazafluoren-9-one (dafone). The carbonyl bridge in dafone distorts the bipyridine moiety and results in the longer (NN)-N-... separation of 3.071(3) and 3.061(3) Angstrom. There exists an extensive intermolecular hydrogen bond network in the crystal, and pi-pi stacking is observed between the neighboring dafone rings.

Abstract:The title cobalt (III) complex, [Co(C9H6NO)(3)].CH3OH, features three 8-quinolinolate ligands that chelate the cobalt(III) atom with an octahedral coordination geometry. The methanol solvent molecule is disordered in the structure. The O...O distances 2.726 (7) and 2.871 (8) Angstrom between the quinolinol hydroxyl and disordered methanol suggest the existence of hydrogen bonding. The separation distances of 3.404 (15) and 3.386 (7) Angstrom between parallel quinoline rings indicate pi-pi stacking between neighboring complex molecules.

Abstract:The title compound, [Fe(C84H52N12O4)Cl], crystallizes in space group C2/c. The central FeIII cation (site symmetry 2) is coordinated in a fivefold manner, with four pyrrole N atoms of the porphyrin core in the basal sites and one Cl atom (site symmetry 2) in the apical position, which completes a slightly distorted square-pyramidal environment. The porphyrin macrocycle shows a characteristic ruffled-shape distortion and the iron atom is displaced out of the porphyrin plane by 0.42 Å with the average Fe-N distance being 2.054 (4) Å; the Fe-Cl bond length is 2.2042 (7) Å. Inter-molecular C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur in the crystal structure.
