Abstract:The title compound, [Fe(C17H16N2O2)( N-3)], is mononuclear. The Fe-III atom is coordinated by four atoms from one Schiff base ligand and one N atom from an azide anion. Abstract:The novel mu-oxo-diiron complex [Fe2O(BPHPA)(2)](ClO4)(4) [BPHPA is (6-hydroxymethyl-2-pyridylmethyl) bis(2-pyridylmethyl) amine, C19H20N4O], contains a binuclear centrosymmetric [Fe2O(BPHPA)(2)](4+) cation ( the bridging O atom lies on an inversion centre) and four perchlorate anions. Each iron ion is coordinated by four N atoms [ Fe - N = 2.117 ( 5) - 2.196 ( 5) Angstrom] and one O atom [ Fe - O = 2.052 ( 5) Angstrom] from a BPHPA ligand, and by one bridging oxo atom [ Fe - O = 1.7896 ( 9) Angstrom], forming a distorted octahedron. There are hydrogen bonds between the hydroxy group and perchlorate O atoms [ O - H ..does not satisfy O = 2.654 ( 7) Angstrom].

Abstract:The title compound Fe(CH4N2S)(2)Cl(2)(.)2(C11H6N2O) (M-r = 643.35) has been prepared and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction method with the following data: triclinic, space group P $(1) over bar $, a = 7.3742(10), b = 13.0427(12), c = 15.215(2) Angstrom, alpha = 88.969(12), beta = 79.004(12), gamma = 79.689(11)degrees, V = 1408.1(3) Angstrom(3), Z = 2, D-x = 1.517 g/cm(3), mu = 0.912 mm(-1) and F(000) = 656. The final R = 0.030 and wR = 0.078 for 4070 observed reflections (I > 2sigma(I)), and R = 0.064 and wR = 0.091 for 5516 independent ones. The crystal consists of tetrahedral Fe(H) complex and hydrogen bonded 4,5-diazafluoren-9-one (dafone). The carbonyl bridge in dafone distorts the bipyridine moiety and results in the longer (NN)-N-... separation of 3.071(3) and 3.061(3) Angstrom. There exists an extensive intermolecular hydrogen bond network in the crystal, and pi-pi stacking is observed between the neighboring dafone rings.

Abstract:The title compound (systematic name: aqua{2,2'-[propane-1,3diylbis(nitrilomethylidene)]diphenolato}(thiocyanato)-iron(III)), [Fe(C17H16N2O2)(NCS)(H2O)], has been synthesized and characterized. It is a mononuclear compound. The Fe III atom has a slightly distorted octahedral geometry, coordinated by two N and two O donors of L [ L is the N, N'-bis(2-hydroxyphenylmethyleneimino)-1,3-diamino-propaneanion] and one N atom from a thiocyanate anion, together with a water molecule. In the crystal structure, the molecules are held together by intermolecular O-H...O hydrogen bonds, forming chains extending in the b direction.

Abstract:The title complex, [Cu3(C9H8BrNO4S)2(C7H4BrO2)2(C10H8N2)2]·H2O, lies on an inversion center located on the central Cu atom, which is four-coordinated in a square-planar geometry, whereas the outer Cu atoms related by symmetry are five-coordinated in a square-pyramidal geometry. The trinuclear mol-ecules, with an intramolecular Cu⋯Cu separation of 6.313 (3) Å, are linked to each other, forming a chain through O - H⋯O and O - H⋯Br hydrogen bonds involving the half-occupied water mol-ecule. Futhermore, weak C - H⋯O inter-actions link the chains to form a supra-molecular network.

Abstract:The title complex, [Fe(NCS)(2)(C32H46N4O2)(2)], is a mononuclear iron(II) complex with a distorted octahedral coordination geometry and the central Fe2+ ion, located on an inversion centre, is coordinated by four N atoms and two O atoms from two Schiff-base ligands and two thiocyanate anions. The Schiff base was obtained by condensation of equimolar amounts of salicylaldehyde and N-cyclohexyl-1,3-diaminopropane in acetonitrile. The crystal structure involves intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O and N-H center dot center dot center dot S hydrogen bonds.

Abstract:The asymmetric unit of the title salt, (C8H10N3)[FeCl4], contains one 1,3-dimethyl-1H-1,2,3-benzotriazol-3-ium cation and one tetrachloridoferrate anion. The FeIII atom in the anion is tetrahedrally coordinated by four Cl atoms. In the crystal, interactions are observed between the Cl atoms and the triazolium ring [Cl⋯centroid distances = 3.587 (3) and 3.866 (3) Å].
