Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to discuss a nonlinear rational difference equation system with three variables. Firstly, by utilizing Jacobian theory, the stability of the system is obtained. Then, we explore the saddle point, nonhyperbolic point, and prime period‐two solution and its boundedness. Finally, we verify the results obtained in the paper via computer numerical calculations.

Asymptotic Behavior Of Solutions For Systems Of Periodic Reaction-Diffusion Equations In Unbounded Domains

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to study the asymptotic behavior of the time-dependent solutions to a coupled system of reaction-diffusion equations with periodic coefficients in unbounded domains, including the whole space R-n, the exterior Omega(e) of a bounded domain and the half-space R-+(n) = {x = (x(1), . . . , x(n)) is an element of R-n; x(n) > 0}, under Dirichlet boundary conditions. It is shown that if the reaction function in the system possesses a mixed quasi monotone property and the corresponding periodic system has a pair of coupled upper and lower solutions then the periodic system has a pair of quasi-solutions and the sector between the quasi-solutions is an attractor of the system of periodic reaction-diffusion equations. Under some additional conditions this attractor leads to the asymptotic stability of a periodic solution for the periodic system. The approach to the problem is based on the method of upper and lower solutions, a ladder argument and a bootstrap technique. Finally, a competitor-competitor-mutualist model is given to illustrate the obtained results.

Abstract:In this paper we study the dynamical behavior of the differential equationx″+ax+−bx−=f(t), where x+=max⁡{x,0}, x−=max⁡{−x,0}, a and b are two different positive constants, f(t) is a real analytic almost periodic function. For this purpose, firstly, we have to establish some variants of the invariant curve theorem of planar almost periodic mappings, which was proved recently by the authors (see [11]). Then we will discuss the existence of almost periodic solutions and the boundedness of all solutions for the above asymmetric oscillation.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to studying the Sobolev-type stochastic differential equations with Lévy noise and mixed fractional Brownian motion. Applying a method (principle) of comparability of functions by character of Shcherbakov recurrence, it characters at least one (or exactly one) solution with the same properties as the coefficients of the equation. We establish the existence of Poisson stable solutions for the Sobolev-type equation, which includes periodic solutions, quasi-periodic solutions, almost periodic solutions, almost automorphic solutions, etc. We also obtain the global asymptotical stability of bounded Poisson stable solutions and present an example to illustrate our theoretical results.

Abstract:In this paper we are concerned with the boundedness of solutions of some nonlinear differential equations, which are neither dissipative nor conservative, having the formx″+(x, t)x′+g(x, t)=0, wherefandgare odd polynomials inxwith coefficients which are even and periodic int. Using the KAM theory for reversible systems, we prove that all the solutions are bounded whenever a sharp condition on the degrees offandgis satisfied. We also obtain a boundedness result whenf(x, t)≡0 (i.e., the equation is conservative), under some smoothness assumptions ongwhich improve the previously known ones. In this case, no symmetry conditions ongare needed.

Abstract:This article is considering the stability property of the solution with inner layer for singularly perturbed stationary equation with Neumann boundary conditions. The right-hand side is assumed to have discontinuity on some arbitrary curve . Stability analysis is performed by obtaining the first non-zero coefficient of the series for eigenvalue and eigenfunction from the Sturm–Liouville problem. Theory of the asymptotic approximations is used in order to construct them.

Abstract:In this article, applying variational technique as well as critical point theory, we establish a series of criteria to ensure the existence and multiplicity of nontrivial periodic solutions to a second-order nonlinear partial difference equation. Our results generalize some known results. Moreover, numerical stimulations are presented to illustrate applications of our major findings.

Abstract:We present a comprehensive investigation of the long-term dynamics generated by a semilinear wave equation with time-dependent coefficients and quintic nonlinearity on a bounded domain subject to Dirichlet boundary conditions. By employing rescaling techniques for time and utilizing the Strichartz estimates applicable to bounded domains, we initially study the global well-posedness of the Shatah–Struwe (S–S) solutions. Subsequently, we establish the existence of a uniform weak global attractor consisting of points on complete bounded trajectories through an approach based on evolutionary systems. Finally, we prove that this uniformly weak attractor is indeed strong by means of a backward asymptotic a priori estimate and the so-called energy method. Moreover, the smoothness of the obtained attractor is also shown with the help of a decomposition technique.

Abstract:This work is devoted to the development of methods for constructing asymptotic formulas as x→∞ of a fundamental system of solutions of linear differential equations generated by a symmetric two-term differential expression of odd order. The coefficients of the differential expression belong to classes of functions that allow oscillation (for example, those that do not satisfy the classical Titchmarsh–Levitan regularity conditions). As a model equation, the fifth-order equation i2p(x)y′′′′′+p(x)y′′′′′+q(x)y=λy, along with various behaviors of coefficients p(x),q(x), is investigated. New asymptotic formulas are obtained for the case when the function h(x)=−1+p−1/2(x)∉L1[1,∞) significantly influences the asymptotics of solutions to the equation. The case when the equation contains a nontrivial bifurcation parameter is studied.

Abstract:A second-order difference equation with periodic boundary value conditions is studied in this article, the nonlinear term may be singular. A few conditions are given to guarantee the existence of positive periodic solution by fixed-point theorem in cones. Our results can be applied to both superlinearity and semilinearity in the case that the difference equation has no singularity, and can be applied to both strong singularity and weak singularity in the case that the difference equation has a repulsive singularity.

Abstract:Existence and uniqueness of positive radial solution u(p) of the Navier boundary value problem: {Delta(2)u = u(p) in R-N\(B) over bar, u > 0 in R-N\(B) over bar, u = Delta u = 0 on partial derivative B, where B subset of R-N (N >= 5) is the unit ball and p > N-4/N+4, are obtained. Meanwhile, the asymptotic behavior as p -> infinity of u(p) is studied. We also find the conditions such that u(p) is non-degenerate.
