Abstract:This study aimed to characterize buttock pressure during 0, 15, 25, 35 degree posterior sitting posture in children. In order to make sure which tilt is perfect for buttock pressure for children with wheelchairs. This study utilized Force Sensory Array to assess changes in buttock pressure during 0, 15, 25, 35 degree posterior tilt sitting posture. One-way pair T tests was used to assess underlying physiologic mechanisms. The pressure was decreased along with the enhancing posterior tilt from 0 to 35 tilt. The mean of buttock pressure in 0 degree posterior tilt was highest significantly than others (p<;;0.05). The buttock pressure was decreased in 15 degree posterior tilt effectively than 0 degree (p<;;0.05). Compared with 15 degree posterior tilt, the buttock pressure was lower in 35 degree posterior tilt (p<;;0.05). The buttock pressure of 15 degree is the same as the 25 degree (p>0.05). The pressure would be decreased efficiently in 15 degree posterior tilt. And the 35 degree posterior tilt would be lower in buttock pressure than 15 degree. The effect was the same for buttock pressure from 15 to 25 degree.
