Abstract:In this paper similarly to the second-order case, we give an elementary and straightforward proof of global L-p estimates for the initial-value parabolic problem of the bi-harmonic type. Moreover, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of the solutions in the suitable space using the potential theory, Marcinkiewicz interpolation theorem and approximation argument. Meanwhile, by the same approach we can deal with the general polyharmonic cases.

Abstract:Global Schauder estimates for the initial-value parabolic problem of the bi-harmonic type are proved,and the existence and uniqueness of the solutions in the suitable space are obtained.Similarly to the second-order case,first a formal expression of solutions by the Fourier transform is obtained,and then the regularity,uniqueness and existence of solutions using the potential theory and approximation argument are got. out approach is simple and straightforward.

Abstract:The existence of a solution to the parabolic system with the fractional Laplacian (−Δ) α /2 , α > 0 is proven, this solution decays at different rates along different time sequences going to infinity. As an application, the existence of a solution to the generalized Navier-Stokes equations is proven, which decays at different rates along different time sequences going to infinity. The generalized Navier-Stokes equations are the equations resulting from replacing −Δ in the Navier-Stokes equations by (−Δ) m , m > 0. At last, a similar result for 3-D incompressible anisotropic Navier-Stokes system is obtained.

Abstract:In this paper we give a priori estimates on asymptotic polynomials of solutions to parabolic differential equations at any points. This leads to a pointwise version of Schauder estimates. The result in this paper improves the classical Schauder estimates in a way that the estimates of solutions and their derivatives at one point depend on the coefficient and nonhomogeneous terms at this particular point.

Abstract:This paper deals with a singular biharmonic equations with p -Laplacian and Hardy potential. Using Mountain Pass Theorem and Fountain Theorem with Cerami condition, we obtain the existence and multiplicity of sign-changing high-energy solutions under some suitable conditions on the nonlinear term f(x,u) . In addition, by applying an abstract critical point theorem of Kajikiya in [A critical point theorem related to the symmetric mountain pass lemma and its applications to elliptic equations. J Funct Anal. 2005;225(2):352–370], a sequence of sign-changing solutions converging to zero for the biharmonic equations with sublinear nonlinearities is also obtained.

Abstract:We develop estimates for the solutions and derive existence and uniqueness results of various local boundary value problems for Dirac equations that improve all relevant results known in the literature. With these estimates at hand, we derive a general existence, uniqueness and regularity theorem for solutions of Dirac equations with such boundary conditions. We also apply these estimates to a new nonlinear elliptic-parabolic problem, the Dirac-harmonic heat flow on Riemannian spin manifolds. This problem is motivated by the supersymmetric nonlinear σ-model and combines a harmonic heat flow type equation with a Dirac equation that depends nonlinearly on the flow.

Abstract:We study fully nonlinear parabolic equations in nondivergence form with oblique boundary conditions. An optimal and global Calderón-Zygmund estimate is obtained by proving that the Hessian of the viscosity solution to the oblique boundary problem is as integrable as the nonhomogeneous term in $L^{p}$ spaces under minimal regularity requirement on the nonlinear operator, the boundary data and the boundary of the domain.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the boundedness and Hölder continuity of local weak solutions to the following nonhomogeneous equation $$\begin{aligned} \partial _tu(x,t)+\mathrm{P.V.}\int _{{\mathbb {R}}^N}K(x,y,t)|u(x,t)-u(y,t)|^{p-2}\big (u(x,t)-u(y,t)\big )dy= f(x,t,u) \end{aligned}$$ in $$Q_T=\Omega \times (0,T)$$ , where the symmetric kernel K(x, y, t) has a generalized form of the fractional p-Laplace operator of s-order. We impose some structural conditions on the function f and use the De Giorgi-Nash-Moser iteration to establish the boundedness of local weak solutions in the a priori way. Based on the boundedness result, we also obtain Hölder continuity of bounded solutions in the superquadratic case. These results can be regarded as a counterpart to the elliptic case due to Di Castro et al. (Ann Inst H Poincaré Anal Non Linéaire, 2016).

Abstract:We consider the following problem involving critical exponent and polyharmonic operator: (-Δ )^mu+V(|y'|,y”)u=u^m^*-1, u>0, u ∈𝒟^m,2(ℝ^N), where m^*=2N/N-2m, N≥ 4m+1 , m ∈ℕ_+ , (y',y”) ∈ℝ^2×ℝ^N-2 and V(|y'|,y”) is a bounded non-negative function in ℝ^+×ℝ^N-2 . By using a finite reduction argument and local Pohozaev type identities, we will show that if N ≥ 4m+1 and r^2mV(r,y”) has a stable critical point (r_0,y_0”) , then the above problem has infinitely many solutions, whose energy can be arbitrarily large.
A direct approach to sharp Li-Yau Estimates on closed manifolds with negative Ricci lower bound

Abstract:Recently, Qi S.Zhang [26] has derived a sharp Li-Yau estimate for positive solutions of the heat equation on closed Riemannian manifolds with the Ricci curvature bounded below by a negative constant. The proof is based on an integral iteration argument which utilizes Hamilton's gradient estimate, heat kernel Gaussian bounds and parabolic Harnack inequality. In this paper, we show that the sharp Li-Yau estimate can actually be obtained directly following the classical maximum principle argument, which simplifies the proof in [26]. In addition, we apply the same idea to the heat and conjugate heat equations under the Ricci flow and prove some Li-Yau type estimates with optimal coefficients.

Pointwise and Oscillation Estimates via Riesz Potentials for Mixed Local and Nonlocal Parabolic Equations

Abstract:We establish a class of pointwise estimates for weak solutions to mixed local and nonlocal parabolic equations involving measure data and merely measurable coefficients via caloric Riesz potentials. Such estimates effectively bound the sizes and oscillations of weak solutions, respectively. The proof relies on demonstrating a new local Hölder estimate with an optimal $L^q$-Tail for weak solutions to the corresponding homogeneous problem, which remarkably extends the $L^\infty$-Tail in previous work. It is worth mentioning that our main results capture both local and nonlocal features of the double phase parabolic equations and, more importantly, remain valid for SOLA (Solutions Obtained by Limit of Approximations).

Sharp local $L^p$ estimates for the Hermite eigenfunctions

Abstract:We investigate the concentration of eigenfunctions for the Hermite operator $H=-\Delta+|x|^2$ in $\mathbb{R}^n$ by establishing local $L^p$ bounds over the compact sets with arbitrary dilations and translations. These new results extend the local estimates by Thangavelu and improve those derived from Koch-Tataru, and explain the special phenomenon that the global $L^p$ bounds decrease in $p$ when $2\le p\le \frac{2n+6}{n+1}$. The key $L^2$-estimates show that the local probabilities decrease away from the boundary $\{|x|=\lambda\}$, and then they satisfy Bohr's correspondence principle in any dimension. The proof uses the Hermite spectral projection operator represented by Mehler's formula for the Hermite-Schrödinger propagator $e^{-it H}$, and the strategy developed by Thangavelu and Jeong-Lee-Ryu. We also exploit an explicit version of the stationary phase lemma and Hörmander's $L^2$ oscillatory integral theorem. Using Koch-Tataru's strategy, we construct appropriate examples to illustrate the possible concentrations and show the optimality of our local estimates.

Abstract:We investigate the existence of two nontrivial solutions for a poly-Laplacian system involving concave-convex nonlinearities and parameters with Dirichlet boundary condition on locally finite graphs. By using the mountain pass theorem and Ekeland's variational principle, we obtain that system has at least one nontrivial solution of positive energy and one nontrivial solution of negative energy, respectively. We also obtain an estimate about semi-trivial solutions. Moreover, by using a result in [4] which is based on the fibering method and Nehari manifold, we obtain the existence of ground state solution to the single equation corresponding to poly-Laplacian system. Especially, we present some ranges of parameters in all of results.

Abstract:The paper is concerned with Galerkin finite element solutions for parabolic equations in a convex polygon or polyhehron with a diffusion coefficient in $W^{1,N+\epsilon}$ for some $\epsilon>0$, where $N$ denotes the dimension of the domain. We prove the analyticity of the semigroup generated by the discrete elliptic operator, the discrete maximal $L^p$ regularity and the optimal $L^p$ error estimate of the finite element solution for the parabolic equation.
