Jet forming and optimization of charge structural parameters considering Al/PTFE liner reaction

Abstract:In this paper, the jet velocity, density and temperature fields of Al/PTFE reactive liner shaped charge (RLSC) are studied, and the energy release behavior of reactive materials caused by impact temperature rise and heat conduction is analyzed. Based on the method of machine learning, a neural network is built. Through numerical simulation, the structural parameters of RLSC and the state parameters corresponding to the jet are sorted into a sample set. The model relationship between RLSC and the jet performance is fitted, and the optimal solution of RLSC under different working conditions is predicted. The results indicate that the high-temperature and high-pressure of explosive makes the reactive material on the outer surface of the liner first undergo exothermic reaction, and the temperature transfers inward to stimulate more reactive material reactions, resulting in the first divergence inside the slug, and then the lower sound velocity and energy release behavior of the reactive material cause the divergence in the front-end of the jet. After 40 μs, the average reactivity of the particles in the slug, the divergence region of the front-end of the jet and the jet head is about 10.29, 4.9 and 1.44%, respectively, and the highest temperature is about 2200 K. The optimized structure of RLSC with different charge diameters was obtained by the neural network. After verification, it was found that the four kind of jet performances of the optimized structure were improved at different degrees compared with other samples.
