Abstract:The symmetry of Lagrangians of a holonomic variable mass system is studied. Firstly, the differential equations of motion of the system are established. Secondly, the definition and the criterion of the symmetry of the system are presented. Thirdly, the conditions under which there exists a conserved quantity deduced by the symmetry are obtained. The form of the conserved quantity is the same as that of the constant mass Lagrange system. Finally, an example is shown to illustrate the application of the result.

Abstract:A kind of symmetries, i.e. a weakly Noether symmetry for a Lagrange system is presented. The criterion of the weakly Noether symmetry of the system is given and a Noether conserved quantity can be deduced using the symmetry. The weakly Noether symmetry finds more applications than the Noether symmetry.

Lie's method of the invariance of ordinary differential equation under infinitesimal transformations was used. The determining equation of the Lie symmetries for the dynamical equations of relative motion is established. The structure equation and the form conserved quantities are obtained. An example to illustrate the application of the result is given.

Abstract:The Noether symmetry and Lie symmetry of the Lagrange system subjected to gyroscopic forces are studied. The condition that the system, under gyroscopic forces , can keep its Noether symmetry and Noether conserved quantity is given. And the condition that the system subjected to gyroscopic forces can keep its Lie symme try and Hojman conserved quantity is also given. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the application of the results.

Abstract:This paper focuses on a new symmetry of Hamiltonian and its conserved quantity for a system of generalized classical mechanics. The differential equations of motion of the system are established. The definition and the criterion of the symmetry of Hamiltonian of the system are given. A conserved quantity directly derived from the symmetry of Hamiltonian of the generalized classical mechanical system is given. Since a Hamilton system is a special case of the generalized classical mechanics, the results above are equally applicable to the Hamilton system. The results of the paper are the generalization of a theorem known for the existing nonsingular equivalent Lagrangian. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the application of the results.

Abstract:Non-standard Lagrangians play an important role in the systems of non-conservative dynamics or nonlinear differential equations, quantum field theories, etc. This paper deals with quasi-fractional dynamical systems from exponential non-standard Lagrangians and power-law non-standard Lagrangians. Firstly, the definition, criterion, and corresponding new conserved quantity of Mei symmetry in this system are presented and studied. Secondly, considering that a small disturbance is applied on the system, the differential equations of the disturbed motion are established, the definition of Mei symmetry and corresponding criterion are given, and the new adiabatic invariants led by Mei symmetry are proposed and proved. Examples also show the validity of the results.

Abstract:A Lie symmetry and an inverse problem of dynamics related to the Lie symmetry for the Lagrange system are studied.An inverse problem of dynamics relates often to a direct problem of dynamics.Therefore,at first,the direct problem of dynamics of the system is proposed and is solved.To study the inverse problem,at first,a given integral is considered as a Noether conserved quantity obtained by Lie symmetry.Second,the generators of infintesimal transformations can be obtained by the inverse Noether theorem.Third,the Killing equations are used to establish the relation between the Lagrangian,the infinitesimal generators and the gauge function.Finally,to verify the generators obtained are or not Lie symmetrical.

Abstract:The symmetries and perturbations of a singular nonconservative Lagrangian system on time scales are studied. The differential equations of motion are given. The definitions and criteria of the Noether, Lie, and Mei symmetries of the system are presented, and the corresponding conserved quantities deduced from these symmetries are obtained. In addition, the perturbations to each symmetry and the corresponding adiabatic invariants were studied. In the end, three examples are used to illustrate the applications of the results.

Abstract:For the same holonomic nonconservative system, the expression of the Lagrange equations under different generalized forces appear different. For different expressions of the equations, the Noether symmetry, the Lie symmetry and the form invariance can be changed. The result of this paper expresses that the gauge function in the Noether identity is changed, but the Noether conserved quantity is not changed. In this case, the Lie symmetry is not changed and the form invariance is changed. The condition under which the form invariance is changed is given.
