Abstract:This study aims to apply the virtual reality–geography information system (VR-GIS) to the construction of the stratigraphic structure model in the mining area, so as to provide important reference value for the mining and exploration of coal resources, and information management of the geological data. The processing and reconstruction of geological data, the analysis and comparison of geological data interpolation method, and the 3D stratigraphic model method based on digital elevation model (DEM) are analyzed and explored. The results show that stratification and numbering of borehole data histogram can improve the efficiency of database establishment and stratum information extraction; the data of drilling point are encrypted by different spatial interpolation methods, and the analysis and comparison of the four spatial interpolation methods using sample test error method shows that the relative error value and absolute error value of Kriging spatial interpolation algorithm are smaller than those of the other three methods, among which the relative error is controlled within 2%. The irregular triangle network (TIN) algorithm is used to transform raster data into curved 3D layer when establishing 3D stratigraphic model based on DEM. Finally, the 3D stratigraphic space model is obtained by VC++ and DirectX. In conclusion, the borehole histogram is used as the geological data source, the data of borehole points are interpolated and encrypted to obtain raster data by kriging spatial interpolation algorithm, the high-precision 3D stratigraphic model is obtained by TIN algorithm based on DEM, and the 3D stratigraphic spatial model of mining area is visualized by VC ++ and DirectX.
