Design and Primary Implementation of Coalmine Virtual Environment System

Abstract:The overall design of virtual environment system of coalmine was put forward.The whole system includes four parts,data management,3D geometric modeling,generation of coalmine virtual environment and stereo display.Data management module provides data for system,3D geometric modeling module using 3D data model and data structure constructs model of stratum,roadway and drill,generation of coalmine virtual environment module using VR(virtual reality) technology constructs virtual mine environment which give users a feeling that they are personally on the scene,stereo display module using VR equipments realizes stereo vision of spatial object.In addition,3D data model and data structure,which are specially suited for coalmine application,were proposed.A prototype system of the self-authorized intellectual property right in our country,VRMine,was also implemented.
