Abstract:Used Map Objects software as components,and Visual Basic 6.0 as programming language,to develop tourism resources query system for Luzhi River area of Yimen County,in Yunnna Province.After the system platform was chosen,some correlative data was collected,and then,the system structure was designed,and the database was established;at last,every function model of the system was developed and carried out.Besides the spatial-properties query function,it's main function,the system can apply many other map works,like spatial data visualisation,map renderer,map editing and output,etc.After the system is developed,it can apply scientific evidence for tourism planning of the area,and can provide reference for tourism developer and manager to make strategy.

Abstract:With economic development and social progress, geographic information science is playing a more and more important role in tourism development. Many spatial analysis methods have been used in planning and design of scenic development programs. In this paper, the application of geographic information systems is illustratedfrom three perspectives. DEM model, Voronoi diagram and Space syntax are used to help achieve suitable land use, rational scenic spots layout, and traffic systems, with which tourist split-flow may be attainable. This study enriches tourism planning methods, which may make tourism planning more scientific and operable.

Abstract:Ya'an Tourism WebGIS was constructed by means of ArcIMS integrated with ArcXML,JavaScript,database technology and ArcSDE.The WebGIS implemented many functions such as collecting tourism information,meta-data storing,data management and spatial analyses,which facilitates various displaying functions for tourism information with multimedia means.Two major problems often encountered in the construction of the WebGIS were discussed and the corresponding solutions were proposed.One problem was that currently there were no address-coding strategy suitable for Chinese nominating costumes,by comparing the nominating rules between western countries and China,a scheme by adapting the address standardized file to Chinese street address,and by developing the corresponding address matching software with MapObjects+VB6.0 programming language to resolve this knotty problem was developed.Another problem encountered by far was that a few WebGISs containing 3D near-nature terrain information,which was usually very much required or interested by the tourists,in our webGIS tourism system this was implemented by integrating TM with DEM and other information to realize the pseudo-3D visualizations.

Abstract:Based on WebGIS technology and ArcGIS Server application platform, this paper completes the construction of tourism management system in ASP.NET environment. Aiming at the new opportunities of the development of urban tourism industry in the new era, the system will innovatively introduce network information technology into the development and construction of urban tourism industry, which can effectively enhance the influence of urban tourism industry, expand the scope of communication and further improve the service quality for tourists. From the microscopic point of view, the data processing capability of the system can fully realize human-computer interaction, that is, comprehensively cover the actual needs of tourists for six elements of food, accommodation, transportation, travel, shopping and entertainment in the process of tourism, and provide corresponding information services for them by virtue of convenient Web application and ArcMap's real-time map data transmission function. From the macro point of view, the application of the system is not only in line with the current national policy orientation to promote the vigorous development of cultural tourism industry, but also in line with the basic needs of tourism recovery and development in the current post-epidemic era. It is also an important measure and positive attempt to actively promote the deepening development of "internet plus tourism" and smart tourism.

Abstract:In the paper, the system architecture of ArcIMS is introduced. Based on ArcIMS developing WebGIS, this paper emphasizes on system framework and key technology of application system in Internet/Intranet environment. Then the paper expatiate the design scheme of agricultural environmental information system based on ArcIMS and analyzes the main modules of the system using Tianjin agricultural environmental information system as a case. The key of the system development are establishing of spatial database by ArcSDE and issuing the agricultural environmental information by ArcIMS.

Abstract:This paper presents the architecture and the knowledge base of a destination decision system named TBJ (Traveling In Beijing), which carries out the design principle of the CTIS (Comprehensive Tourism Information System). The CTIS proposes a new design principle which requires a tourism information system to cognize tourist's truly requirement and provides proper information based on this requirement. This cognition can be achieved by considering tourist's information, scenery information, general knowledge of tourism and situational variables in one context. The system which implements this principle can provide more precise but less amount of information based on traveler's truly requirement.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the software architecture of existing GIS applications in industry,a compound architecture pattern which integrates Client/Server architecture and Browser/Server architecture is proposed so as to better meet the requirement for geospatial information sharing and make better use of geospatial resources.The compound architecture is then used to remake the system which has been used in the Land and Resources industry,called Urban Cadastral Information System,by dividing the original single-architected system into several subsystems with the GIS functionality provided by the same GIS Server.The prototype system runs well and the expected goals are achieved,which to some extent solves the problem that once the single-architected system ran into,meets the demands for sharing the geospatial information and provides new thoughts for the GIS-related applications in other industries.

Abstract:Fast development of Geomatics and network integrated technology demonstrates that spatial information are widely used in regional planning and decision making. Existing non-standardized multi-sources and multi-scales data have a shortage of spatial information sharing in both internal and external application departments or units, especially in the network era. A pilot regional planning and decision making spatial information system based on a standardized and network sharing technology is presented in this paper.The research area is composed of eight counties in Jinghong Region and Simao Region of Yunnan Province in China. Spatial information resources such as remote sensing, digital maps, and paper maps are collected from different departments. Statistics data such as agriculture, forest, earthquake hazard, ore, hydrogeology, ecology, transportation, population, tourism, and trade, etc. are the composition of the application system. The system will be mainly used by regional planners and managers in the province and the regions via Internet.The applications of general users are also considered. Geographic Metedata standardization for spatial information is used as an Internet engine between users and datasets. Arc/INFO and ArcView GIS are the basic software for information integration. WebGIS is used for spatial information sharing design and GeoMedia is accepted as a basic web software platform. Other software for multi-dimensional information display and management are designed and applied for virtual reality planning and application in the project.

Abstract:In the project study on Tarim Basin water management and desertification prevention, Tarim geographical information system (TGIS) was developed based on the application of ESRI's spatial analytic tool ARC/INFO, with the aim to keep track of the changing status of water system, oasis distribution and vegetation degradation, and make them more visible and intuitive. The TGIS was designed to be more powerful and easy to use with the interface coupling with a separate model for assessment of local sustainable development and scenario based analysis. What's more, the linkage technology of GIS with the external modeling exercises has been studied, with the presentation of some technical options.

Abstract:Abstract The information service of planting features various service content; scattered and isolated information; diversity of data source and format, as well as high cost of system operation. Since agricultural production decision-making and management have diversified demands on scientific and technological service, a GIS-based planting information service system was designed and developed. This system integrates the geographic information data and planting service thematic data, which is based on multi-source heterogeneous data integration, GIS spatial analysis, responsive framework and other technologies. Through various terminals such as computers and mobile phones, the system provides land circulation information inquiry, soil fertility analysis, crop variety selection, production materials purchase, agricultural technology guidance, labor employment recruitment, agricultural product sales and other comprehensive information services of the whole planting life cycle. It guides farmers to plant rationally, and helps farmers resolve the issues relating to information islands and the information shortage problem in production and life by “one-stop”, and increase the famers’ income. It can also provide decision-making gist for agricultural administrative departments to adjust planting structure, optimize the rural industrial layout and related policy formulation. Through demonstration in Zhucheng, a new model for serving “agriculture, rural areas and farmers” with surveying and mapping geographic information has been formed in terms of resource integration, geospatial data services, and service information access.

Abstract:The 21st century is the era of information economy. With economic development and social progress, people's material and cultural standard of living continues to improve and leisure time continues to increase, tourism has become increasingly popular as a kind of leisure way. The geographic information system applied to tourism management is the preferred platform of tourism information. On the basis of introducing the concepts of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Travel Geographic Information System (TGIS), this paper illustrates the role that the geographic information system plays in tourism management. Tourism has a strong geographical attributes. And GIS itself is information system offering services to geographic research and decision-making, which can play a role in tourism management. In particular, possessing the functions, such as data collection, storage, processing, spatial analysis and so on, GIS directly provides services for tourism management. The roles of GIS in tourism management are mainly in the following areas: conducting tourism information management; being able to produce a comprehensive thematic map. The paper analyzes the existing problems of GIS applications in tourism management. Take a panoramic view of the current technology and management system, the key technology and problems to establish TGIS are: the construction of tourism geographic information database; the establishment of data structure and the data model; the design of Tourism Geographic Information Database System. The essay also proposes the development prospects of the combination of GIS with new information technologies. GIS applied in Tourism Management has played a significant role. At the same time, it should be noted that information technology continuously changes, GIS applied in tourism management also need to improve according to the development of information technology to adapt to the information technology development. Looking the prospects of GIS applied in tourism management, the following areas need to be improved: RS, GPS as supplementary means applied to GIS data collection and update to enhance information collection ability of the system; combining the multimedia and virtual technology with GIS to enhance the attractiveness of the system for tourists; Combining the expert system technology with GIS to enhance the capacity of the system to solve travel problems.
