Effect of Ultrasound on the Enzymatic Reaction in Organic Solvents

Abstract:As an environmentally benign method,the applications of ultrasound in organic chemistry have developeding rapidly in recent years.Because the mechanical effect of the acoustic waves could enhance the velocity of heterogeneous reactions,ultrasound is also a useful tool in nonaqueous enzymology.The application of ultrasound in nonaqueous enzymology has been reviewed in this article.The effect factors of ultrasound-assisted enzymatic reaction in organic solvents and the possible mechanism of ultrasound have also been discussed.
