Abstract:Analyzed the microstructure characteristics of bump-prone coal.A series of experiments were finished,which included X-Ray diffraction and electronic microscope investigation.The samples were from No.7,9 and 12 coal seams in Zhaogezhuang Mine and No.11 coal seam in Xinzhouyao Mine.The compared analysis was done to figure out the characteristics of different bump-prone coal.The microstructure parameters were adopted to describe coal pre-condition to bump.The relationship between the microstructure of coal sample,the distribution of organic macerals and coal bump-prone property was achieved.The results show that the No.11 coal seam in Xinzhouyao Mine is easier to bump out compared with the seams in Zhaogezhuang Mine at the same geological and stress conditions.The bigger values of microhardness and microbrittleness is,the more bump-prone property the coal seam has.The more difference of vitrinite reflectance,the lower possibility of coal bump.Moreover,the simpler of micro-macerals distribution,the lower dangerous to bump.

The Relationship Between Bump-Prone Properity and Microstructure Characteristics of Coal
