The Co-II atom, located on an inversion centre, is coordinated by two carboxylate groups of the sulfoisophthalate trianions and by four water molecules in a distorted CoO6 octahedral geometry. Two independent Na-I atoms also have a distorted octahedral coordination geometry formed by water, carboxylate O and sulfonate O atoms. An extensive O-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bonding network is present in the crystal structure, as well as weak pi-pi stacking [centroid-centroid distance = 3.9553 (11) angstrom].

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H8N4S22+.-2C(6)H(7)N(4)S(2)(+.)4C(7)H(4)NO(4)(-), comprises diprotonated diaminobithiazole (DABT) dications located on inversion centers, monoprotonated DABT cations and nitrobenzoate anions. The relatively short C - N( amino) bond distances, ranging from 1.310 (2) to 1.350 (2) angstrom, indicate electron delocalization between the amino groups and thiazole rings. Intermolecular N - H (...) O and N - H (...) N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Na4Ni(C8H3O7S)(2)(H2O)(12)](n), the Ni-II cation occupies an inversion centre and is coordinated by the carboxyl groups of the sulfoisophthalate trianions and water molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. Two independent Na-I atoms are connected by the carboxyl and sulfonate groups of the sulfoisophthalate ligands anions and water molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. The sulfoisophthalate ligands and coordinated water molecules bridge the Ni-II and Na-I cations, forming a three-dimensional polymeric structure. Weak pi-pi stacking is present between parallel benzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.9349 ( 10) A]. Extensive O-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding helps to stabilize the crystal structure.

Abstract:The title complex, [Ni(C6H6N4S2)(C3H2O4)(H2O)(2)], has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry with the malonate dianion and diaminobithiazole chelating to the Ni-II atom in the equatorial plane, and two water molecules in the axial positions. Both the malonate and diaminobithiazole are planar, and are tilted out of the equatorial plane, with dihedral angles of 9.87 (5) and 11.65 (5)degrees, respectively.

Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu-2(CH3-COO)(4)(C9H7N)(2)], the Cu-II cation is coordinated by four acetate anions and one isoquinoline molecule in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry; the Cu-II cation is 0.1681 (6) angstrom from the basal coordination plane formed by the four O atoms. Each acetate anion bridges two Cu-II cations to form the centrosymmetric dinuclear complex. Within the dinuclear molecule, the Cu center dot center dot center dot Cu separation is 2.6459 (4) angstrom. A parallel arrangement of isoquinoline ligands of adjacent complexes is observed in the crystal structure; the face-to-face distance of 3.610 (10) angstrom suggests there is no pi-pi stacking between isoquinoline ring systems.

Abstract:The title complex, [Ag2(C7H5O2)2(C18H18F2N2)]n, is a dinuclear silver(I) compound with one inversion centre between pairs of Ag atoms and another at the mid-point of the central C—C bond in the butane-1,4-diamine moiety. Each of the smallest repeat units consists of two silver(I) cations, two benzoate anions and one N,N′-bis(2-fluorobenzylidene)butane-1,4-diamine Schiff base ligand. Each AgI ion is three-coordinated in a trigonal configuration by two O atoms from two benzoate anions and one N atom from a Schiff base ligand. The di-μ-benzoato-disilver(I) moieties are linked by the bridging Schiff base ligand, giving zigzag polymeric chains with an [–Ag⋯Ag—N—C—C—C—C—N–]n backbone running along the b axis.

Abstract:The title complex, [ Ag-2( C7H4ClO2) (2)( C5H6N2) (2)] . H2O, lies about an inversion center, with the water molecule on a twofold rotation axis, and the Ag-I atom is three- coordinated by two O atoms from two different but symmetry- related 4-chlorobenzoate anions and one N atom from one 2- aminopyridine ligand. The 4- chlorobenzoate anion acts as a bidentate ligand, bridging two inversion- related Ag atoms of the complex and forming a dimer. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked through intramolecular and intermolecular N - H ... O and O - H ... O hydrogen bonds, forming two- dimensional layers parallel to the bc plane.
