Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Ni(C6H6N4S2)2(H2O)2][Ni(C7H3NO4)2]·5H2O, consists of NiII complex cations, NiII complex anions and five uncoordinated water mol­ecules. In both the complex cation and anion, the NiII ions assume a distorted octa­hedral coordination. There is extensive hydrogen bonding between water mol­ecules, complex cations and complex anions.
