Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Ni(C(3)H(4)N(2))(6)][Ni(C(3)H(4)N(2))(3)(H(2)O)(3)](C(12)H(6)O(4))(2), contains uncoordinated naphthalene-dicarboxyl-ate dianions and two kinds of Ni(II) complex cations, both assuming distorted octa-hedral geometries. One Ni(II) ion is located on an inversion center and is coordinated by six imidazole mol-ecules, while the other Ni(II) ion is located on a twofold rotation axis and is coordinated by three water mol-ecules and three imidazole mol-ecules in a mer-NiN(3)O(3) arrangement. The naphthalene-dicarboxyl-ate dianion links both Ni(II) complex cations via O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding, but no π-π stacking is observed between aromatic rings in the crystal structure. One imidazole ligand is equally disordered over two sites about a twofold rotation axis; one N atom and one water O atom have site symmetry 2.

Abstract:The title compound, [Ni(NCS)(C6H6N4S2)(CH4O)]Cl, consists of an Ni-II complex cation and a Cl- anion. The Ni-II complex has an octahedral coordination, with the isothiocyanate and methanol ligands in cis positions. The diaminobithiazole ligands are each nearly planar, but the Ni-II atom is out of the planes of the thiazole rings, the deviations ranging from 0.113 (5) to 0.389 (4) Angstrom.

Abstract:The title compound, [Ni-II(H2O)(6)][Ni-II(C4H4O4S)(2)]center dot 4H(2)O, consists of [Ni-II(H2O)(6)](2+) complex dications, [Ni-II(C4H4O4S)(2)](2-) complex dianions and non-coordinated water molecules. In the complex dianion, two thiodiacetate dianions coordinate to the Ni-II ion in a fac-SO2-tridentate chelating mode, resulting in a distorted octahedral trans-NiO4S2 coordination geometry. The crystal structure is stabilized by an extensive O - H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bonding network.

Abstract:The Ni-II atom in the crystal structure of the title compound, [NiCl2(C6H6N4S2)(2)].2H(2)O, has a distorted cis-octahedral coordination, formed by two Cl atoms [Ni-Cl 2.4767 (17) and 2.4922 (17) Angstrom] and four N atoms of two chelate bithiazole ligands [Ni-N 2.069 (5)-2.138 (5) Angstrom]. The overlapped arrangement and short separation between parallel thiazole rings belonging to neighbouring complexes [3.47 (3) Angstrom] suggest the existence of pi-pi stacking interactions. Short intermolecular S...S contacts [3.183 (3) Angstrom] are also observed. The water molecules are involved in hydrogen bonds with the Cl ligands.

In the mononuclear species, the Ni(II) ion, located on an inversion center, is coordinated by two 1H-benzimidazole (bzim) ligands and two 3-hydroxy-benzoate (hba) anions in a square-planar geometry. In the centrosymmetric dinuclear species, the Ni(II) ion is coordinated by two bzim ligands and three hba anions in a square-pyramidal geometry; of the two independent hba anions, one bridges two Ni(II) ions with both carboxylate and hydroxyl groups whereas the other coordin-ates in a unidentate manner to the Ni(II) ion. The apical Ni-O(hydrox-yl) bond is 0.39 Å longer than the basal Ni-O(carbox-yl) bonds. The face-to-face separation of 3.326 (9) Å indicates the existence of π-π stacking between parallel bzim ligands of adjacent dinuclear entities. Extensive N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds help to stabilize the crystal structure.

Abstract:The title complex, [Ni(C7H4NO4)(2)(C3H4N2)(2)(H2O)(2)], assumes an octahedral coordination geometry with the Ni atom located on an inversion centre. The overlapped arrangement and the separation of 3.535 (14) Angstrom suggest the existence of pi-pi stacking between parallel imidazole ligands. Abstract:The title complex, [Ni(C4H4O4S)(C3H4N2)3](H2O)-H-., displays a distorted octahedral NiN3O2S coordination geometry, formed by three imidazole ( imid) ligands and one thiodiacetate dianion. The Ni-II atom is displaced from one of the imid planes, and the angle between the corresponding Ni-N bond and the imid plane is 21.94 (19)degrees. This spatial orientation is stabilized by an intermolecular C-H-...pi interaction between one imid ligand and the C-H bond of an adjacent imid ligand.

Abstract:In the title complex, [Ni(C4H4O5)(C3H4N2)(3)], the Ni-II atom is coordinated by one tridentate malate dianion and three imidazole molecules with a distorted octahedral geometry. The imidazole H atom links with both carboxyl O atoms of the neighboring complex to form a three-centered hydrogen bond, which results in a long centroid-centroid distance of 4.447 (2) angstrom between neighboring parallel imidazole rings.
