Abstract:The title compound [systematic name: 1-(7-isopropyl-1,4a-dimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,9,10,10a-octahydrophenanthren-1-ylmeth- yl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole], C35H40N2, was obtained via the one-pot three-component condensation of benzil, formaldehyde and dehydroabietylamine, which is a fungal toxin. The two substituent phenyl groups and the imidazole ring form a conjugated system. The dihedral angles between the imidazole ring and the phenyl rings are 70.18 (9) and 12.77 (12)degrees. In the crystal structure, there are one intramolecular and two intermolecular hydrogen-bonding C-H center dot center dot center dot pi contacts. Furthermore, a weak C-H center dot center dot center dot N intramolecular hydrogen bond is observed.

Abstract:The title compound, C12H9N2+center dot C7H4ClO3-center dot C12H8N2 center dot-C7H5ClO3, contains one phenanthrolinium (Hphen) cation, one phenanthroline (phen) molecule, one 4-chloro-2-hydroxybenzoate anion (hcba) and one 4-chloro-2-hydroxybenzoic acid (Hhcba) molecule in the asymmetric unit. The phen molecule is approximately parallel to Hphen, making a dihedral angle of 1.98 (6)degrees. The centroid-centroid distance between pyridine rings of adjacent phen and Hphen species is 3.7718 (15) angstrom, and that between the benzene and pyridine rings of adjacent phen and Hphen species is 3.7922 (16) angstrom, indicative of pi-pi stacking interactions. The crystal structure contains an extensive network of classical (O-H center dot center dot center dot O, N-H center dot center dot center dot N and O-H center dot center dot center dot Cl) and weak (C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot N) hydrogen bonds. Finally, C-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions are seen between Hphen and hcba and between phen and Hhcba in the crystal structure. The hydroxy group of the anion is disordered over the two sites ortho to the carboxylate group in a 0.75: 0.25 ratio.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, 2C(5)H(6)NO(2)(+)center dot-C4H2O42-, consists of 3-hydroxypyridinium cations and fumarate dianions. The dianion is located on an inversion center and the cation is linked to it by O-H center dot center dot center dot O and N-H center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds. The cation is twisted with respect to the anion by 24.83 (5)degrees.

Abstract:The crystals of the title compound, C15H15N3O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of 2,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 4-nitrophenylhydrazine. The molecule displays a nearly planar structure. The overlapped arrangement of nearly parallel benzene rings of neighboring molecules and centroid-centroid distance of 3.5642 (16) Angstrom suggest pi,pi stacking. Adjacent molecules are linked to each other via N-H...O hydrogen bonds to form a helical supramolecular structure.

Abstract:The title compound, C20H23N4O6PS, was synthesized by the reaction of N-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-5-(4-nitrophenyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-amine and diethyl phosphite. The thiadiazole and nitro-substituted phenyl rings in the molecule are approximately coplanar, the dihedral angle being 5.3 (2)degrees. The dihedral angle formed by the mean plane through all non-H atoms of both the thiadiazole and the nitro-substituted phenyl ring with the plane of the methoxy-substituted phenyl ring is 48.9 (2)degrees. In the crystal structure, molecules form centrosymmetric dimers as a result of N-H center dot center dot center dot O bonds involving amine H and phosphine oxide O atoms.

The two pyridine rings are planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.008 and 0.00440 Å) and make a dihedral angle of 44.0 (2)°. Intermolecular O-H⋯F and C-H⋯F interactions occur. The four F atoms in each anion were refined as disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ration of 0.700 (19):0.300 (19).

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].

Abstract:The title compound, C9H15O6N3P2·2H2O, contains two phosphonic acid groups and one benzimidazole group connected by an N(CH2–)3 group. One of the benzimidazole N atoms and two phosphonic acid O atoms of each PO3 group are protonated. Extensive hydrogen-bonding interactions, as well as π–π stacking interactions, are found between the molecules, leading to a three-dimensional supramolecular network structure.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound (C17H23O3P, Mr= 306.32) has been preparedand determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is triclinic, space group P-1 with param-eters:a=9. 852(1), b=9. 887(1), c=19. 949(3) A, α=83. 161(4), β=87. 012(3), γ=66.085(3)°V=1763.7(4) A3, Z=4, Dc=1.154 g/cm3, μ(MoKa)=0.163 mm-1, F(000)=656, the final R=0. 078 5 and wR=0. 185 4 for 2 094 observed reflections with I＞2σ(Ⅰ). The X-ray analysis result con-firms the E configuration of the title compound.

Abstract:The title fused tricyclic phosphoroheterocycle, C11H13N2O2PS, was unexpectedly synthesized by the reaction of a multifunctional compound, 2-[N-(2′-hydroxy)ethyl]amino-N′-ethylbenzamide, with tris(diethylamino)phosphine in the presence of iodine as catalyst. The crystallographic data analysis reveals that the title compound is triclinic with space group P\overline 1 and there are three rings in the molecule. The phenyl ring, the two N atoms and the carbonyl C atom are coplanar; the P atom and the carbonyl C atom deviate by −0.692 (2) and 0.1116 (13) Å, respectively, from the phenyl ring plane. The five-membered ring exists in an boat conformation.

Abstract:The title compound 2-(2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl)-4-(4-chlorophenyl)-3a,4- diethoxy-, 2,3,3a, 4-tetrahydrochromeno[3,4-d][1,2,3]diazaphosphole 2 (C29H30Cl2N3O7P, Mr = 633.44) was synthesized and its structure was characterized by IR, MS, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, (31)p NMR, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. It crystallizes in triclinic, space group P (1) over bar, a = 9.1549(3), b = 10.7168(4), c = 17.6272(6) angstrom, alpha = 102.9363(12), beta = 90.2713(9), gamma = 117.4265(10)degrees, V = 1484.41(9) angstrom, Z = 2,mu(MoK alpha) = 0.323, F(000) = 658, Z = 2, D-c = 1.417 g/cm(3), the final R = 0.0687 and wR = 0.2066 for 4943 observed reflections (I > 2 sigma(I)). X-ray analysis reveals that the diazaphospholine ring is almost planar and the two ethoxy groups bonded on the 3a- and 4-positions are in trans configurations. Its antiproliferative activity was also tested in vitro against four human tumor cell lines.
