Abstract:In the present study, three new species and one new record are recognized using morphology and DNA barcording analysis. In China, six species of Statherotmantis Diakonoff, 1973 were previously recorded. In the present study, four other species were recognized using morphology and DNA barcording analysis. Among these, three of which, S. miniscula sp. n., S. calva sp. n., and S. longiuscula sp. n., are described as new. In addition, one species, S. laetana Kuznetzov, 1988, is a new record for China. Adults and genitalia are illustrated, and keys to identify the Chinese species of Statherotmantis are provided.

Abstract:A new species of the genus Humphaplotropis Xiao et al, 2013, i.e. Humphaplotropis tongbaishanensis sp. nov. is described from Henan province, China in this paper. The new species is allied Humphaplotropis xiai Zhi, Shi Dai, 2015, but differs from latter by tegmina of male short, not reaching the hind margin of 1st abdominal tergite; base of cercus not narrow in male; epiphallus with disperse spikes, ancorae broad, both posterior projections shorter than median projection; length of subgenital plate larger than width in female and Krauss` organ of female with 20 keels. The genus Humphaplotropis Xiao et al, 2013 is a valid genus and not a synonym of Haplotropis Saussure, 1888. Type specimens are deposited in Shanghai Entomological Museum, C.A.S., Shanghai China.

Abstract:A new genus of malachiine Melyridae , Platyintybia gen. nov. , is described based on several male-specific characters, along with description of its type species, Platyintybia zhongshanensis sp. nov. , from China. A new combination, Platyintybia sarawakensis (Champion, 1921), comb. nov. , is proposed after examining the type specimen; this species is newly recorded from China. A key to the genera of Chinese Apalochrini is provided for the first time.

Abstract:Seven species of the genus Toxorhina Loew, 1850 have been recorded from China, of which three are known to occur in Yunnan Province. Herein, all known species from Yunnan, China are reviewed with more detailed descriptions and illustrations of the male hypopygium. A species of Toxorhina belonging to the subgenus Ceratocheilus Wesché, 1910 from Yunnan, T. ( C. ) pianmica sp. nov. , is described and illustrated as new to science.

The differences between the new genus and allied genera in morphology are discussed, which can be distinguished by the shape of the posterior process of the tenth abdominal tergite and cerci in males. Abstract:Pima tristriata sp. nov. is described as new to science based on specimens collected from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China, and P. boisduvaliella (Guenée, 1845) is also treated here for comparison. DNA barcodes of the two species are provided, together with a neighbor-joining tree for species delimitation. A key to the Holarctic species and a distribution map of the Chinese species are presented.

Abstract:Two new species of the genus Mongolotettix Rehn, 1928 from China, i.e. Mongolotettix wulingyuanensis sp. nov. and Mongolotettix. shaanxiensis sp. nov. are described herein. M. wulingyuanensis sp. nov. is similar to M. angustiseptus Wan, Ren & Zhang, 1998, but differs from the latter by body larger, length of body ♂ 25.6 mm, ♀ 39.1mm; tegmina of male without a white stripe on the fore margin at base; subgenital plate of male conical, sides concave, apex acute; both outer sides of epiphallus without acute projection in the middle. M. shaanxiensis sp. nov. is similar to M. anomopterus (Caudell, 1921), but differs from the latter by tegmina of male longer, reaching the end of epiproct, without a white stripe on the fore margin at base, tegmina of female longer, reaching the middle of 2nd abdominal tergum, width of epiphallus larger than height, upper ovipositor valve slender, length 3.8 times its maximum width. A key to all nine known species of the genus from China is given. Type specimens are deposited in the Northwest Plateau Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xining, 810001, China.

Abstract:Twenty-one species of the genus Lecithocera Herrich-Schäffer, 1853 from China are described as new: L. angustifolia sp. nov., L. asticta sp. nov., L. balteiformis sp. nov., L. bicornuta sp. nov., L. bigeminata sp. nov., L. duplicispinea sp. nov., L. flavalba sp. nov., L. flavistriata sp. nov., L. furvibasis sp. nov., L. laticuculla sp. nov., L. ligulacea sp. nov., L. margirecta sp. nov., L. medogensis sp. nov., L. nullisigna sp. nov., L. parviflava sp. nov., L. parvispinea sp. nov., L. serratiloba sp. nov., L. sichuanensis sp. nov., L. tenuextrema sp. nov., L. tumicuculla sp. nov. and L. yunnanensis sp. nov. Seven species are newly recorded for China: L. alpestra Park, 2005, L. alpina Park, 2016, L. chersitis Meyrick, 1918, L. haviensis Park, 2016, L. neosticta Meyrick, 1918, L. orbiculata Park, 2010 and L. rubigona Park, 2006. The females of four species are described for the first time: L. alpina, L. haviensis, L. neosticta and L. orbiculata. Six new combinations are proposed: Lecithocera platomona (Wu, 1997) comb. nov. and L. stimulata (Wu, 1994) comb. nov. transferred from the genus Quassitagma; L. frisilina (Gozmány, 1978) comb. nov. transferred from the genus Recontracta; L. baliocata (Wu, 1994) comb. nov., L. sarmenta (Wu, 1994) comb. nov. and L. stictata (Wu, 1994) comb. nov. transferred from the genus Galoxestis. Images of adults and genitalia for all treated species are given, along with a checklist of all Chinese species of Lecithocera.

Abstract:The tribe Xylenini is one of the main large taxonomic groups known as Winter Noctuidae.A new species of the genus Antivaleria Sugi, 1980, Antivaleria ronkayorum Zhang & Wang, sp. nov. is described and illustrated from Zhejiang Prov., China. The species resembles Antivaleria peregovitsi Ronkay et al., 2010, but differs in wing pattern, foot-like cucullus and special shape of harpe. A key to the Antivaleria species is presented. The holotype is deposited in the Department of Entomology, College of Plant Protection, South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou.

Abstract:The genus Termioptycha Meyrick, 1889 from China is reviewed. Among the ten species studied, T. longiclavata sp. nov., T. longispina sp. nov., T. nigrimacularis sp. nov. and T. cornutitrifurca sp. nov. are described as new; T. conjuncta(Warren, 1896), comb. rev. is re-allocated in this genus from Salma Walker, 1863; and T. conjuncta and T. eucarta(Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875) are newly recorded in China. Photographs of adults and genitalia are provided. A key to the ten species in China based on male genitalia is provided.

Abstract:Two new species i.e.: Humphaplotropis xiai sp. nov. and Humphaplotropis hebeiensis sp. nov. of the genus Humphaplotropis Xiao, Yin et Yin, 2013, are described from Hebei and Jiangsu, China in this paper. The new species Humphaplotropis xiai sp. nov. differs all known species of the genus by the abdomen like sawtooth in lateral view. The new species Humphaplotropis hebeiensis sp. nov. is similar to Humphaplotropis culaishanensis Lin, Cao et Yin, 2014, but differs from the latter by: lateral carinae of frontal ridge parallel; anterior margin of pronotum with acute angular in the middle, the apex reaching the hind margin of eyes; tegmina wider, cover 4/5 tympanum. Hind tibia yellow brown on upper side; epiphallus with 44 spikes, ancorae oblique inward distinctly, both posterior projections shorter than median projection. Type specimens are deposited in the Shanghai Entomological Museum, C.A.S., Shanghai and Natural Museum of Hebei University, Baoding, Hebei China respectively.

Abstract:A new genus Maculaprosbole of Tettigarctidae with a new species M. zhengi is described based on a complete fossil forewing from the Mesozoic of northeastern China. Due to its broad costal area and clavus, Maculaprosbole zhengi gen. et sp. n. can be attributed to the subfamily Cicadoprosbolinae. This genus is similar to the genera Sanmai and Hirtaprosbole in coloration pattern and forewing venation, respectively. However, it differs from Hirtaprosbole in crossvein r-m absent and apical CuA section strongly curved, running along the nodal line for a distance, and Sanmai in transverse coloration mainly focusing on the postnodal area. Herein, the prominent coloration pattern of this new taxon is discussed.
