The shorter C-O bond distance of 1.260 (2) angstrom suggests electron delocalization between the oxido group and the pyridinium ring. The uncoordinated carboxylate O atom links with the imidazole and pyridinium rings of adjacent molecules via N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding. Weak C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding is also present in the crystal structure.

Abstract:The synthesis and structural characterization of a series of oxime-derived palladium complexes are reported. Coordination of 2-pyridyl-1-ketoxime to palladium as a neutral ligand has been achieved. Palladation of 1,1′-(1,3-phenylene)bis(pentan-1-one) dioxime ( Bu PhdOxH 2 ) resulted in the formation of an unexpected N,C,O-pincer complex through a Beckman rearrangement of one oxime group to an amide. This complex is the first metalation of C2 of a 1,1′-(1,3-phenylene)bis(1-alkanone) dioximine. In contrast, the analogous 1,1′-(pyridine-2,6-diyl)bis(1-pentanone) dioxime ( Bu PydOxH 2 ) gives the expected N,N,N-pincer complex without ligand rearrangement. Initial mechanistic studies suggest that the Beckman rearrangement of Bu PhdOxH 2 occurs by a process involving palladium.

Abstract:The PdII complex bis-{(S)-(-)-N-[(biphenyl-2-yl)methyl-idene]1-(4-meth-oxy-phen-yl)ethanamine-κN}di-chlorido-palladium(II), [PdCl2(C22H21NO)2], crystallizes in the monoclinic Sohncke space group P21 with a single mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. The coordination environment around the palladium is slightly distorted square planar. The N-Pd-Cl bond angles are 91.85 (19), 88.10 (17), 89.96 (18), and 90.0 (2)°, while the Pd-Cl and Pd-N bond lengths are 2.310 (2) and 2.315 (2) Å and 2.015 (2) and 2.022 (6) Å, respectively. The crystal structure features inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl and intramolecular C-H⋯Pd inter-actions, which lead to the formation of a supramolecular framework structure.

Abstract:In the title complex, [PdCl2 (C13H14N2O2)], the central Pd-II atom is bonded to two pyridine N atoms and two terminal Cl atoms. The coordination geometry of the Pd atom is square planar with a slight tetrahedral distortion. The two Pd-N distances are 2.029 (3) and 2.057 (3) Angstrom, and the N-Pd-N angle is 86.56 (13)degrees. The Pd-Cl distances are 2.2929 (11) and 2.2959 (11) Angstrom, and the Cl-Pd-Cl angle is 90.84 (5)degrees.

Abstract:The title complex bis{1-[[（3-methyl-pyridin-2-yl） amino] methyl-phenyl]-2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylphenol} palladium(C42H56O2N4Pd) has been synthesized by the reaction of 1-[[（3-methyl-pyridin-2-yl）amino]methyl-phenyl]-2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylphenol with Pd（OAc）2, and was characterized by IR and elemental analyses（C, H, N）. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis of the complex revealed an almost parallelogram geometry of the metal center, space group P1 with a = 12.3870（13）, b = 12.9673（12）, c = 14.3998（4） ?, α = 67.53（2）, β = 75.34（2）, γ = 86.89（3）°, V = 2065.5（3） ?3, Mr = 773.32, Z = 2, Dc = 1.243 g/cm3, μ = 0.489 mm-1, F（000） = 816, the final R = 0.0649 and wR = 0.1567. The compound was investigated for the catalytic behavior towards norbornene（NB） vinyl addition polymerization. And the complex exhibits high catalytic activities up to 1.668 × 107 g of PNB（mol of Pd）-1 h-1 with high monomer conversion using methylaluminoxane（MAO） as the cocatalyst.

Abstract:The cycloneophylpalladium(II) complexes [Pd(CH2CMe2C6H4)(κ2-N,N′-L)], 1 or 2, with L = RO(CH2)3N(CH2−2-C5H4N)2, with R = H or Me, respectively, react with either dioxygen or hydrogen peroxide in the presence of NH4[PF6] to give rare examples of the corresponding hydroxopalladium(IV) complexes [Pd(OH)(CH2CMe2C6H4)(κ3-N,N′,N′′-L)][PF6], 3 or 4. The complexes 3 and 4 are stable at room temperature and have been structurally characterized. On heating a solution of 3 or 4 in moist dimethylsulphoxide, selective reductive elimination with C(sp2)-O bond formation is observed, followed by hydrolysis, to give the corresponding pincer complex [Pd(OH)(κ3-N,N′,N′′-L)][PF6] and 2-t-butylphenol as major products. A more complex reaction occurs in chloroform solution. The mechanisms of reaction are discussed, supported by DFT calculations.

Abstract:series of (1,2-diaryl)alkenylphosphine palladium complexes have been designed and synthesized. The structures of palladium complexes depend on the ratio of amount of using PdCl2(CH3CH)(2) and ligands. Additions of one equivalent of ligands afford dipalladium complexes [(RCH)-C-1=CR2(PR2)PdCl2](2), R-1 = R-2 = R = Ph, (C1); R-1 = R-2 = p-tolyl, R = Ph, (C2); R-1 = R-2 = Ph, R = Pr-i, (C3). The dipalladium complexes (C1-C3) adopt a transoid conformation and existed as chlorine-bridged dimer with a single alkenylphosphine ligand at each Pd. Complex Cl is confirmed by X-ray crystallography. Additions of two equivalents of ligands afford monopalladium complexes {[(RCH)-C-1=CR2(PR2)](2)PdCl2}, R-1 = R-2 = R = Ph, (C4); R-1 = R-2 = p-tolyl, R = Ph, (C5); R-1 = R-2 = Ph, R = Pr-i, (C6). The monopalladium complexes (C4-C6) adopt a transoid conformation with two alkenylphosphines. Complex C4 and C5 were confirmed by X-ray crystallography, respectively. For a crystal structure of complex C4, there are two independent palladium complexes in the asymmetric unit. All the complexes as a catalyst show good catalytic activity in Suzuki-Miyaura reaction.
