The incidence of depression was significantly higher in the patients companied by complication than those without complication (χ2 = 21.05, P < 0.01). The incidence of headache, dizzy, sleep disorder, tiredness and itch of skin were significantly higher in patients with depression then those without depression (χ2 = 29.60, 28.77, 22.16, P < 0.01). The social intercourse insulation, economic misery and bad family support occurred more in patients with depression than those without depression (χ2 = 29.60, 28.77, 22.16, P < 0.01). The incidence of depression in uremic patients was not correlated with gender, age and educational level (χ2 = 0.5835, 0.7098, 2.17, P > 0.05). Conclusion: The incidence rate of depression in uremic patients is higher.
