Architecture of Sensor Management and Simulation of Micro Sensor Management

Abstract:Sensor management system is an important component part of information fusion system, it is the foundation to improve the synthetic performance of an information fusion system. Based on the basic concepts of sensor management, the technique challenges and the micro/macro architecture of sensor management are discussed. Making use of a model of electro-optical sensor, a simulation is done to demonstrate the operating process of a sensor manager or controller for micro sensor management. The controlling rules of sensor manager are discussed simply. The simulating result shows that the micro-sensor management may improve the sensor's tracking accuracy to maneuvering target evidently.
