Abstract:An expeditious synthesis of highly functionalized dibenz[b,f][1,4]oxazepin-11(10H)-ones and dibenz[b,f][1,4]-oxazepine-11(10H)-carboxamides has been established via microwave-assisted one-pot U-4CR and intramolecular O-arylation. A Pd-catalyzed intramolecular arnidation was successfully performed under microwave irradiation to furnish the novel conjugates of dibenz[b,f][1,4]oxazepin-11(10H)-ones with a 2-oxindole linked through a C-N single bond.

Abstract:A general and efficient method for the synthesis of azabicyclo[4,3,0]nonanone and azabicyclo[5,3,0]clecanone amino acid derivatives was developed with the palladium-catalyzed coupling of intermediates 9 and 10 with BocNH(2) and Boc(2)NH and the following reduction of the C-C double bond by hydrogenation as the key steps. The exploration of the synthesis of C-6-substituted dipeptide mimetics from 9 and 10 using Suzuki coupling as the key reaction has also been performed.

Abstract:The polymerization of triple-bond building blocks will generate functional polymers owing to their unsaturated backbones, which facilitate the electron delocation within the main chains. Currently, the research focus in this area is the alkyne-based polymerization, and the carbon-nitrogen triple-bond based polymerization to produce stable nitrogen-containing polymers is rarely reported. In this paper, a new polymerization of diisocyanoacetate was successfully established. The silver acetate-catalyzed polymerization of diisocyanoacetate in the acetonitrile or DMF readily produced soluble polyimidazoles with high molecular weights (M-w up to 32500) in excellent yields (up to 94%) at room temperature after 2 h. Moreover, this polymerization performed in a single component fashion, which shows remarkable advantages over the traditional two- or multicomponent ones. In addition, the resultant polyimidazoles could be postfunctionalized to yield ionized polyelectrolytes and could feature the aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristics by incorporation of an AIE-active tetraphenylethene moiety in its polymer chains. This single component polymerization will become a powerful tool for the preparation of polyimidazoles and be potentially applicable in materials and biological fields.

Abstract:An interesting approach to functionalized imidazolidines is described. These compounds are obtained in a copper(I)-catalyzed domino three-component coupling and cyclization reaction involving two formaldehyde-derived imine units and a terminal alkyne. Alternatively, imidazolidines can be obtained from propargylamines and formaldehyde-derived imines. This strategy provides a straightforward and atom-economic pathway to construct imidazolidines with high yields and benefits from readily available starting materials, convenient one-pot operations.

Abstract:Poly(aryl imino) containing biphenyl group was synthesized by the condensation polymerization of 4,4'-Dibromobiphenyl and aromatic diamines via Palladium-catalyzed aryl amination reaction The structure of the polymers synthesized was characterized by means of FT-IR,1H-NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis,and the testing results show a good agreement with the proposed structure.DSC and TG measurements showed that the polymers possess good thermal stability(Tg>250℃;TD>510℃).

Abstract:Halophenyl derivatives were linked to different termini of polyamide containing three imidazole rings to give novel conjugates for examining the influence of the location of linking on DNA-cleavage efficiency. The DNA cleavage activities of the conjugates were compared on supercoiled DNA (pBluescript SK) under UV irradiation at 365 nm. It was found that bromophenyl-ImImImbetaDp (2), which is the conjugate of bromophenyl motif directly linked to the N-terminus of polyamide, had the highest photocleavage efficiency among six novel conjugates. In addition, it was found that the polyamide containing three N-methylimidazole rings could greatly enhance the photocleavage efficiency of these conjugates.

Abstract:A convenient method for the synthesis of polyamides containing N-methylpyrrole (Py) and N-methylimidazole (Im) in solution has been developed. Most of the building blocks have been prepared by a haloform reaction in a simple way that column chromatography can be avoided. By use of the DCC/HOBT coupling reaction, the building blocks prepared have been effectively connected to construct a variety of subchains and polyamides without employing amino protection and deprotection. By use of the present method, an eight-ring polyamide, PyPyPyPy gamma PyImImPy beta Dp (gamma is gamma-aminobutyric acid, beta is beta-alanine, Dp is N,N-dimethylpropyldiamine), has been synthesized by the coupling of two four-ring subchains in one step.

Abstract:AbstractTwo new routes to polyamides were established, based on the polycondensation of two new typical active diesters: the active diester of N‐hydroxy‐5‐norbornene‐2,3‐dicarboximide, such as N,N′‐(terephthaloyldioxy)bis(5‐norbornene‐2,3‐dicarboximide), and the active diester of 3‐hydroxy‐4‐oxo‐3,4‐dihydro‐1,2,3‐benzotriazine, such as 3,3′‐(isophthaloyldioxy)bis(4‐oxo‐3,4‐dihydro‐1,2,3‐benzotriazine) with diamines. The polycondensation occurred at room temperature in solution without added catalyst. Dipolar aprotic solvents which included dimethyl sulfoxide and N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone were used as solvents for polymerization. Before polymer synthesis the aminolysis of two active monoesters was carried out as a model compound study.
Preparation and Electrophilic Cyclization of Multisubstituted Dienamides Leading to Cyclic Iminoethers

Abstract:Stereodefined multisubstituted dienamides could be concisely prepared in high yields by direct addition of 1-lithiobutadiene derivatives to both N-aryl and N-alkyl isocyanates. Electrophilic cyclization of these dienamides was achieved to generate substituted cyclic iminoethers in excellent yields with perfect selectivity. When treated with 12 N aqueous HCl, dienamides underwent efficient and selective electrophilic cyclization to afford cyclic imidate derivatives. When treated with NBS, monobrominated or double-brominated cyclic iminoethers were formed.

Abstract:Two derivatives of imidazolinones, specifically DMPI {(4 Z )-4-(4-(dimethylamino)benzylidene)-2-methyl-1,4-dihydro-5 H -imidazolin-5-one} and MMPI {(4 Z )-4-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-2-methyl-1-((pyridin-3-yl)methyl)-1,4-dihydro-5 H -imidazolin-5-one} are reported which were synthesized under reflux conditions. Both the ligands are characterized with different analytical techniques including NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, IR Spectroscopy. The subsequent elucidation of their solid-state structures was achieved through the single crystal X-ray diffraction method, providing detailed insights into their molecular arrangements. In the crystalline lattice, the asymmetric unit of DMPI comprises a solitary DMPI molecule, whereas MMPI reveals a more intricate arrangement with four molecules within its asymmetric unit. Various types of supramolecular interactions such as C–H⋯O, C–H⋯N, C–H⋯π and π⋯π interactions are observed in the X-ray structures where a trifurcated C–H⋯O bonds are also observed in both the ligands. All these interactions guide the formation of 3D supramolecular architecture in the solid-state of both compounds. Besides these, the 2D fingerprint and Hirshfeld surface analysis computations were served to prove and quantify various supramolecular interactions within the crystal lattice.

Abstract:A novel chiral diallylic diamine has been synthesized through double addition of allyl zinc bromide to chiral imines in this contribution. Firstly, (S)-N-Boc-2-amino-3-phenylpropanaI was prepared through N-Boc protection and Dess-Martin oxidation. Then, it was condensed with (S)-valine methyl ester to form a chiral imine, which was reacted with allyl zinc bromide in the presence of CeC1(3)center dot 7H(2)O to afford the corresponding chiral homoallylic amine with high optical activity. After removing Boc group, the newly formed chiral homoallylic amine was condensed with 2-thiophenecarboxaldehyde to provide a novel chiral imine with high optical purity. The following asymmetric addition of allyl zinc bromide to the novel chiral imine provided the target compound. The structure and the purity of desired compound and the key intermediates were demonstrated by H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and MS spectra.

Abstract:This paper described a new synthetic method of a novel poly(phenylene) derivative - poly (N, N-dimethylaniline) (PDMA) by forming a CT complex with monomer N, N-dimethylaniline and tetrachloro-p-quinone (TCQ), The CT complex was further studied which could not only protect the side group(N',N'-dimethyl), but also afford relatively low energy of activation in polymerization. The resulted polymer PDMA was characterized by elementary analysis, FTIR, H-1 NMR and UV-Vis spectra. The relationship between the spectra and its structure was also discussed.

Abstract:Two dicyanopyridine derivatived compounds (I) (C14H10N4) and (II) (C15H16N4) were synthesized with high yields from each reaction of benzylidene malononitrile with dichloride zinc directly in methanol or ethanol solvent . Both the compounds were characterized by NMR, IR, ESI, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. Investigation of intermolecular interaction via Hirshfeld surface analysis indicates that these close contacts are mainly ascribed to N-H···N hydrogen bonding. Frontier molecular orbital and natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis shows that compound (I) and (II) possess a relatively higher kinetic stability. As a general type of catalyst, the reactive activity in the reaction of <a href="https://www.baidu.com/link?url=vz1iUSOKbGDcQmmM5QIitILn4Sztg1hxK14_GubLtadKIDlUlly9LIBddRd4LSd2_wwEnwu7Zy7W0_Xh14VeHSAK2i688JNVXyymYT6rwZiM86tVZmNtFx_98o-G_-U8">benzophenone-imine</a> cyanosilylation was carried out to give a better performance with high yields of 80.0% and 86.0% for (I) and (II) respectively.

Abstract:Novel dibenzocoronenetetracarboxylic acid diimide analogues and naphthoperylenetetracarboxylic acid diimide analogues containing imidazole, 1,2,4-triazole, and pyrazole rings embedded as functional constituents within the parent hydrocarbon backbone have been synthesized. The pi-rich and pi-poor heterocycles have different influences on the physical properties of the parent benzocoronenetetracarboxylic acid diimide and naphthoperylenetetracarboxylic acid diimide systems. The pi-rich 3 was able to self-assemble into one-dimensional nanostructures through strong pi-pi stacking, whereas the pi-poor 8 lacked the one-dimensional self-assembly capability, thus offering the potential to control the self-assembly capability of the pi-conjugated perylene core by decoration with N-heterocycles.

Abstract:A novel approach to the synthesis of 2,2′,3,3′-biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride is described. The target compound was prepared by a nickel-catalyzed coupling reaction of dimethy 3-chlorophthalate (3-DMCP) for 4 h at 70–80 °C, followed by subsequent hydrolysis of tetra-ester in acid solution and dehydration of tetra-acid, with overall yield of 68%. The structures of the products were characterized by IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR respectively.

Abstract:1,4-Bis(3,4-dicarboxybenzoyl)benzene dianhydride, an aromatic bis(ketone anhydride) monomer, was synthesized by the Friedel–Crafts reaction of terephthaloyl dichloride and o-xylene, followed by the oxidation of the intermediate tetramethylated compound and cyclodehydration of the resulting tetraacid. A series of new poly(diketone imide)s (PDKIs) were prepared from this dianhydride with various aromatic diamines via a conventional two-stage process that included ring-opening polyaddition to form the poly(amic acid)s followed by thermal or chemical imidization. Most of the PDKIs through chemical imidization were soluble in aprotic amide solvents, such as N, N-dimethylacetamide, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, m-cresol, and so on. The resulting PDKIs had good thermal property with the glass transition temperature of 203–275°C, the temperature at 5% weight loss of 500–539°C, and the residue of 51–60% at 800°C in nitrogen. Additionally, strong and flexible PDKI films obtained by thermal imidization exhibited outstanding mechanical property with the tensile strength of 88.8–158.5 MPa, tensile modulus of 1.9–3.5 GPa, and elongation at breakage of 7–21%.
