Abstract:In this paper, we study module isomorphisms between weakly closed T (N)-modules, and obtain the following result: suppose that U, V are weakly closed T (N)-modules and that Phi : U --> V is a module isomorphism, then U = V and there exists a non-zero number lambda such that Phi(T) = lambdaT, For AllT is an element of U.

Abstract:The notion of weakly d-Koszul module, which is a generalization of d-Koszul module, is introduced. The authors show that a finitely generated graded module M over a d-Koszul algebra is a weakly d-Koszul module if and only if it admits a tower of submodules: 0(?)U0(?)U1(?)…(?)Up= M, such that all Ui/Ui-1 are d-Koszul modules. Let A be a d-Koszul algebra and M a weakly d-Koszul module over A, it turns out that the Koszul duale(M) = ExtA*(M, A0) of M is generated in degree 0 as a graded ExtA*(A0, A0) module.

Abstract:In this paper, we first characterize the rank one operators in the preannihilator U-perpendicular to of a weakly closed T ( N)-module U. Using this characterization for the rank one operators in U-perpendicular to, a complete description of the extreme points of the unit ball U-1 is given. Finally, we show how to apply the techniques of the present paper to other operator systems and characterize their extreme points.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the concept of NN-torsion-free modules (respectively, NN-injective modules) as a generalization of nonnil-torsion-free modules (respectively, injective modules). We show that they behave in a way similar to the classical ones. As an application, we characterize φ -rings over which every NN-torsion-free module is NN-injective.

Abstract:In this paper, we first introduce the concept of single elements in a module. A systematic study of single elements in the AlgL-module U is initiated, where L is a completely distributive subspace lattice on a Hilbert space H. Furthermore, as an application of single elements, we study module isomorphisms between norm closed AlgN-modules, where N is a nest, and obtain the following result: Suppose that U, V are norm closed AlgN-modules and that Phi : U -> V is a module isomorphism. Then U = V and there exists a non-zero complex number lambda such that Phi(T) = lambda T, for all T is an element of U.
On Nil-semicommutative Modules

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a new concept in Nil-semicommutative modules and present it as an extension of Nil-semicommutative rings to modules. We prove that the class of Nil-semicommutative modules is contained in the class of Weakly semicommutative modules while that of the converse may not be true. We also show that in case of Semicommutative modules and Nil-semicommutative modules, one does not imply the other. Moreover, for a given Nil-semicommutative ring, we provide the conditions under which the same can be extended to a Nil-semicommutative module. Lastly, we also prove that for a left $R$-module $M$, $_RM$ is Nil-semicommutative iff it's localization $S^{-1}M$ over the ring $S^{-1}R$ is also Nil-semicommutative.Various other examples and propositions highlighting the comparative studies of this new class of modules with different classes of modules are also discussed in order to validate the concept.

Abstract:Suppose that $(\mathcal{F},\mathcal{M})$ is an injective structure of $R$-Mod such that the class $\mathcal{F}$ is closed for direct limits, then two modules in $\mathcal{M}$ are isomorphic if there are maps in $\mathcal{F}$ from each one of the modules into the other. Examples of module classes in such injective structures include (pure, coneat, and RD-) injective modules, as well as $\tau$-injective modules for a hereditary torsion theory $\tau$. Thus providing a generalization of a classical result of Bumby's and two recent ones by Macías-Díaz.

Abstract:The notion of weak Doi-Hopf π-datum and weak Doi-Hopf π-module are given as generalizations of an ordinary weak Doi-Hopf datum and weak Doi-Hopf module introduced in (Böhm, 2000), also as a generalization of a Doi-Hopf π-module introduced in (Wang, 2004). Then we also show that the functor forgetting action or coaction has an adjoint. Furthermore we explain how the notion of weak Doi-Hopf π-datum is related to weak smash product. This paper presents our preliminary results on weak Doi-Hopf group modules.

Abstract:Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, Ahead of Print. Let [math] and [math] be rings, the [math] two non-negative integers and [math] an (faithfully) [math]-semidualizing bimodule. In this paper, we introduce, via special super finitely presented module [math] with respect [math], the concepts of [math]-[math]-weak injective and [math]-[math]-weak flat modules, and then we obtain some characterizations of two classes of these modules, namely [math] and [math] which are larger than that of [math]-weak injective and [math]-weak flat modules, respectively. Also, we investigate Foxby equivalence relative to these modules. Then over any arbitrary ring, we show some nice properties from the classes [math] and [math].

Abstract:Using the technique of annihilators, we characterize the w*–closure of the finite–partition submodule ℛ(${\fancyscript N}$,~)of a weakly closed nest algebra module ${\fancyscript U}$ completely; and by virtue of this characterization, we obtain a sufficient and necessary condition for ${\fancyscript U}$ to have a maximal w*–closed submodule.

Abstract:In this paper, we study modules having the property that are invariant under some idempotent endomorphisms of its injective envelope. Such modules are called essentially Ï€ -injective. It is shown that (1) M is essentially Ï€ -injective iff for any essentially finite direct summand X 1 of M and any submodule X 2 of M with X1âˆ©X2=0 , there exists a direct summand X 0 of M containing X 2 such that M=X1âŠ•X0 , (2) M is essentially Ï€ -injective iff M is an ef-extending right R -module and for any decomposition M=M1âŠ•M2 with M 1 essentially finite, M 1 and M 2 are relatively injective, (3) if M is essentially Ï€ -injective and R satisfies ACC on right ideals of the form r ( m ), mâˆˆM , then M is a direct sum of uniform submodules. We also describe rings via essentially Ï€ -injective modules. It is shown that R is a semisimple artinian ring iff the direct sum of any two essentially Ï€ -injective right R -modules is essentially Ï€ -injective.

Abstract:Let R be an integral domain. An R -module G is torsionless if it is isomorphic to a submodule of a finitely generated free R -module. For torsionless modules, we define w -weak isomorphism types which are new versions of weak isomorphism types with respect to the w -operation: w -local isomorphism and w -nearly isomorphism. Furthermore, we examine the relationship between w -local isomorphism, w -nearly isomorphism, and stable isomorphism for torsionless w -modules over weakly Matlis domains.

Abstract:We define a congruence module $\Psi_A(M)$ associated to a surjective $\mathcal O$-algebra morphism $\lambda\colon A \to \mathcal{O}$, with $\mathcal{O}$ a discrete valuation ring, $A$ a complete noetherian local $\mathcal{O}$-algebra regular at $\mathfrak{p}$, the kernel of $\lambda$, and $M$ a finitely generated $A$-module. We establish a numerical criterion for $M$ to have a free direct summand over $A$ of positive rank. It is in terms of the lengths of $\Psi_A(M)$ and the torsion part of $\mathfrak{p}/\mathfrak{p}^2$. It generalizes results of Wiles, Lenstra, and Diamond, that deal with the case when the codimension of $\mathfrak{p}$ is zero. Number theoretic applications include integral (non-minimal) $R=\mathbb T$ theorems in situations of positive defect conditional on certain standard conjectures. Here $R$ is a deformation ring parametrizing certain Galois representations and $\mathbb T$ is a Hecke algebra. An example is a modularity lifting for 2-dimensional $\ell$-adic Galois representations over an imaginary quadratic field. The proofs combine our commutative algebra results with a generalization due to Calegari and Geraghty of the patching method of Wiles and Taylor--Wiles and level raising arguments that go back to Ribet. The results provide new evidence in favor of the intriguing, and as yet fledgling, torsion analog of the classical Langlands correspondence. We also prove unconditional integral $R=\mathbb T$ results for Hecke algebras $\mathbb T$ acting on weight one cohomology of Shimura curves over $\mathbb Q$. This leads to a torsion Jacquet--Langlands correspondence comparing integral Hecke algebras acting on weight one cohomology of Shimura curves and modular curves. In this case the cohomology has abundant torsion and so our correspondence cannot be deduced by means of the classical Jacquet--Langlands correspondence.
