STUDY ON AUTO-DISTURBANCE-REJECTION CONTROL FOR HVDC SYSTEM

Abstract:The uncertainty of the accurate models and the unavailability of the differential signals are the bottle-neck of HVDC nonlinear control putting into practicality. The paper introduces a novel nonlinear control method, namely auto-disturbance-rejection control method (ADRC), into the HVDC system. The HVDC accurate models are linearized by nonlinear transformation. The constant current ADRC for the rectifier and the constant extinction angle ADRC for the inverter are proposed. The simulation results show that the designed controller has excellent control performance, especially outstanding adaptability and robustness against model uncertainty and internal and external disturbances.
