Novel Strategy for the Optimal Design of Induction Motors

Abstract:Most researching on optimal motor design has focused on new algorithms or improving existing ones. Seldom work has been done to get the improving design equations. This paper presents a new optimal design strategy based on new design equations. Through these equations, a group of continuous variables are selected. Thus the method has good global convergence and can handle discrete variables. It can be directly applied to almost all the optimization algorithms. The results show that the method is reliable and efficient.
