Abstract:Global positioning system (GPS) IF signal simulators provide high-fidelity measurement environments for GPS software or hardware receivers. Based on analyzing the effects of error sources on GPS signals, the mathematical models of IF simulator and algorithems of computing transmission time by using existing ephemeris are present. A software realization of a GPS IF signal simulator is presented where the simulated signal is processed by a software GPS receiver. Measurement results show that this method accurately simulates GPS IF C/A and P codes. This scheme can be easily realized and expanded to simulate other GPS signals by adding other algorithms for evaluating acquisition, tracking, and precision of GPS software or hardware receivers. This method also supports new GPS technology development.

Abstract:Due to different requirements of Global Positioning System (GPS) applications, performances of GPS receiver vary greatly. In order to evaluate a GPS receiver's performances, a simulation platform build on Matlab has been developed by this research. This platform includes four elements: user interface, GPS signal simulator (intermediate frequency, IF), civilian (C/A) software receiver and noise 14 generator. Design and implementation of the platform are discussed in details in this paper. Firstly, a mathematical model of intermediate frequency (IF) GPS signal simulator is introduced. After that, methods of determining visual satellites and computing transmission time by using existing ephemeris are also discussed. Secondly, key algorithms of the software 14 receiver, including acquisition and tracking, are presented. Finally, an experiment is demonstrated to test the validity of this platform. The close correspondence between pre-designed user I trajectories and position results of the software receiver certifies 19 the validity of this platform. Compared with hardware simulation, this platform possesses more effective and flexible. The performances of the receiver can be tested completely by changing different scenes of signal simulator. All key techniques of this platform are modularized and coded with Matlab language. It is easy to understood and used. In this sense, this simulation platform can be an ideal tool for new beginners of this field to master GPS principles.

Abstract:This paper proposed a behavioral level simulation and modeling method based on Simulink within Matlab.MEMS gyroscope simulation system is built,using motion equations and transfer functions,by picking-up mechanical parameters of micromachined gyroscope and main parameters in external circuits.Noise of gyroscope and circuits are added in the simulation platform.Then,noise performance of AD630 demodulation circuit is simulated and tested;the optimized application of this circuit is analyzed.

Abstract:The visibility and usability of GPS signal for space missions were analyzed. The influencing factors such as earth occultation,the free space signal attenuation,the beam width (or solid angle) of transmitting antenna,the receiver mask angle and the atmospheric attenuation were analyzed and modeled in detail. And the criterions of space visibility and usability of GPS signal in space were also given. The relative simulations were proposed for the special application background. The analysis methods,models and simulation results have special reference value for the application of GPS in the space missions.

Abstract:In order to meet the demands of complicated calculation and high real-time performance, a new implementation of multi-mode GNSS signal simulator controlled by computer is proposed. Navigation control parameters are calculated by computers. Then, they are sent to satellite signal generator via network interface to control signal generation. This combination displays strong advantages of parallel processing ability of FPGA and complex calculation ability of computers. The system is verified with respect to the output signals and positioning solutions and is successfully applied in the research of satellite navigation receiver.

Abstract:This paper describes an approach of implementing software based GPS receiver acquisition and tracking for L1 C/A signal. In this paper, in the deep research GPS signal capture principle's foundation, carried on the simulation using Matlab to the GPS signals capture process to realize and to analyze. The simulation result further confirmed this method's accuracy and the feasibility, this to further studies under the true environment in the simulation platform the GPS signal, the improvement satellite receiving unit performance has the very vital practical significance.

Abstract:Fast movement of space satellite,difference of clocks and high dynamics of the application platform of GPS receivers are important factors to influence signal synchronization.In order to handle the challenges of these factors on system synchronization and achieve rapid and correct demodulation of navigation data,a synchronous algorithm of GPS software receivers was put forward on the base of profound study of circumference correlation acquisition algorithms,non-correlated lead-lag code tracking loops and operational principles of Costas carrier tracking circle,whose validity and rationality were tested by simulation for providing realistic grounds for our country to develop application platforms of GPS receivers.

Abstract:Based on the radio determination satellite service system,we analyze and discuss the construction of the GEO & MEO satellites passive positioning system.In this paper,we introduce the structure of this passive positioning system,and give the positioning model and make the analysis of the positioning error.Through our simulative program,we give the simulative results of the proposed positioning system.The simulative results prove that it is feasible to construct the region enhanced Global Navigation Satellite System in China.

Abstract:Although different multipath error models of Delay lock loop (DLL) used in GPS receiver are established, they have never been put together for comparison. Furthermore, no universal simulation method is developed to get a fair comparison among these models. A new model with implicate expression is hence proposed for the coherent DLL and the noncoherent Dot-product (DOT) power mode DLL. Meanwhile, a new simulation method based on the anonymous function in Mat lab, which is especially suitable for models with implicit expression, is also proposed to compare the new model with the existing ones. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the existing models are the special case of the proposed one. The new simulation method can be used for the comparison of different multipath error models and the multipath error analysis of other DLLs for which only the implicit model is available.

Abstract:As an important branch of network optimization,the precondition of it is to establish an effective propagation model to simulate the local network coverage.This thesis actualized the localization tuning on COST231-Hata model according to Drive Test data,got new breakthrough in introducing GIS into the model application,established a graphical interface platform of network coverage simulation,and finally realized the combination with signal data and geographic information,making the displaying of the signal distribution performs visually.Also,it provides full-period interface support in the whole wireless-network optimization.

Abstract:In order to fulfill the requirements for rapid evaluating of competitive robot(Tele-LightSaber,TLS) system's competitive algorithms and visual servo control,a simulation system for the competitive robot system is designed and implemented based on TLS experimental platform and its operating characteristics,as well as the concept of harmonious distribution of human-computer intelligence.Through system configuration and off-line programming,the simulation system reproduces experimental data and performs error analysis.The results show that the competitive robot simulation system can simulate the actual system,and provide a pre-experimental verification platform for TLS system.

Abstract:In this paper, a simulation assistant teaching system for mathematical modeling course based on the characteristics of the teaching in the discipline of information and computational science is developed, The simulation assistant teaching system can import the typical cases of mathematical modeling into teaching practice by computer simulation technology, and visually simulate the mathematical modeling, the solution and the results presentation processes. By using this system, students can refine their thinking of mathematical modeling effectively, and learn with the teacher actively. The application results show that the developed simulation assistant teaching system is an effective way for teaching in mathematical modeling course.

Abstract:Satellite visibility and geometric performance restrict the precision of navigation and positioning as well as the availability of such position.In this paper,take the Beijing area as an example,using the constellation model and its cosine calculation algorithm,the changing relationship between the satellite visibility and its elevation angle in the GPS,Galileo and GLONASS was researched and analyzed based on the satellite visibility and GDOP theory.The GDOP's value change in the world region was simulated,at a 24-hour cycle,and a comparative analysis of the GDOP's value change at low latitudes,mid-latitudes,and high latitudes was made.Finally the conclusion was drawn that with the elevation angle increasing(<30deg),Galileo system always meets the positioning requirements,while GPS and GLONASS can not(not include GPS Augmentation System).On low latitude regions,Galileo geometric properties are superior to GPS,and GPS geometric properties are superior to GLONASS.GLONASS has good GDOP values and geometric performance at high latitudes.

Abstract:Due to weak receiving power of Global Positioning System(GPS) signal,a GPS receiver is vulnerable to interference.In order to analysis interference effects on a GPS receiver,a software simulation platform built on Matlab has been developed by this research.It includes four basic elements:user interface,GPS signal simulator(intermediate frequency,IF),civilian(C/A) software receiver and interference generator.The output values of the receiver driven by jammed GPS signals,such as pseudorange,carrier-noise density radio(C/No),phase locked loop locked value and position error,are used to analyze interference effects.The close correspondence between theoretical result and experimental conclusion show that this simulation platform could be used to evaluate the performance of a GPS receiver under interference conditions.Compared with conventional hardware simulation,software simulation can provide researchers and developers with more evaluation and testing flexibility and low cost.All key techniques of this platform are modularized and coded with Matlab language.In this sense,this simulation platform is suit for new beginners of this field to understand GPS principles and for engineers to develop more advanced anti-jamming algorithm.

Abstract:According to the requirement of hardware-in-the-loop simulation system for CTCS Level 3 (Chinese Train Control System Level 3), a meta-model based modeling method for railway geographic information is proposed in this paper. The modeling principle, modeling scheme and key technologies of this method are deeply explained and different modeling schemes are compared in detail. Using this modeling method, the railway geographic information can be expressed more concisely and completely, and the model can be extended and reconstructed more easily. The proposed model is now successfully used to provide effective support for the running of the train dynamic model.

Abstract:Simulation technology becomes one of the important synthetic technical fields through development of nearly half century which has great impact on the evolution of the people and the whole society. In this paper, the development direction of the modeling and simulation (MS) was analyzed in some detail. The modeling methodology becomes richer, and demands more interoperability and reusability. MS verification, validation and accreditation become important supporting pillar of MS development. The architecture of simulation systems is growing to be standardized, layered and networked; simulation grid will be the next important developing direction. The simulation application fields are more wider, and simulations are more and more frequently applied in the study of complex systems. MS is more close to the peoples daily life.
