The Analysis of Modeling and Simulation Development Direction

Abstract:Simulation technology becomes one of the important synthetic technical fields through development of nearly half century which has great impact on the evolution of the people and the whole society. In this paper, the development direction of the modeling and simulation (MS) was analyzed in some detail. The modeling methodology becomes richer, and demands more interoperability and reusability. MS verification, validation and accreditation become important supporting pillar of MS development. The architecture of simulation systems is growing to be standardized, layered and networked; simulation grid will be the next important developing direction. The simulation application fields are more wider, and simulations are more and more frequently applied in the study of complex systems. MS is more close to the peoples daily life.
