Abstract:This note concerns the robust absolute stability analysis for a class of general neutral type Lurie indirect control systems with nonlinearity located in an infinite sector or finite one. By using Lyapunov functional of quadratic form with integral term and introducing some free-weighting matrices, some delay-dependent robust absolute stability criteria are presented in terms of strict linear matrix inequalities. Neither model transformation nor bounding technique is required here. The obtained criteria are less conservative than previous ones, which are illustrated by numerical examples.

Abstract:This note is concerned with the absolute stability analysis for time-delay Lurie control systems with nonlinearity located in an infinite sector and finite one. By using a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional that splits the whole delay interval into two subintervals and defines a different energy function on each subinterval and introducing some free-weighting matrices, some new delay-dependent robustly absolute stability criteria are presented in terms of strict linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The obtained delay-dependent criteria are less conservative than previous ones, as are illustrated by numerical examples.
Robust H-infinity and L-two-L-infinity exponential controls for stochastic time-delay Lurie systems

Abstract:The robust exponential H-infinity control and the exponential L-two-L-infinity control for a class of uncertain Itflo-type stochastic Lurie systems with time-delay are investigated. The uncertainties are norm-bounded and the delays are time-varying. Based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method and Itflo differential formula, we formulate the sufficient conditions for the existence of desired controllers in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). For all admissible uncer- tainties, the designed memoryless state-feedback controllers ensure that the closed-loop systems are robustly exponentially mean-square stable with prescribed H-infinity and L-two-L-infinity disturbance attenuation levels. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed methods is demonstrated by two simulation examples.

Abstract:In this work, the analysis of robust stability and design of robust H ∞ output feedback controllers for a class of Lur’e systems with both time-delays and parameter uncertainties were studied. A robust H ∞ output feedback controller based on Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) was developed to guarantee the robust stability and H ∞ performance of the resultant closed-loop system. The presented design approach is based on the application of descriptor model transformation and Park’s inequality for the bounding of cross terms and is expected to be less conservative compared to reported design methods. Finally, illustrative examples are advanced to demonstrate the superity of the obtained method.

Abstract:This paper considers robust absolute stability of Lurie control systems. Particular attention is given to the systems with parameters having uncertain, but bounded values. Such so-called Lurie interval control systems have wide applications in practice. In this paper, a number of sufficient and necessary conditions are derived by using the theories of Hurwitz matrix, M matrix and partial variable absolute stability. Moreover, several algebraic sufficient and necessary conditions are provided for the robust absolute stability of Lurie interval control systems. These algebraic conditions are easy to be verified and convenient to be used in applications. Three mathematical examples and a practical engineering problem are presented to show the applicability of theoretical results. Numerical simulation results are also given to verify the analytical predictions. Copyright (C) 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Abstract:The robust absolute stability of interval Lurie control system with multiple nonlinearities is considered with respect to model variation.Based on the method of Lyapunov function and interval analysis technique,some sufficient conditions of robust absolute stability for the interval Lurie system are obtained,which reduces the conservatism in robustness tests of absolute stability.The proposed approaches for robustness analysis are based on the stability analysis of interval matrices.The new robustness results are illustrated by two simple numerical examples.

Linear matrix inequality method and Lyapunov stability theory are used to derive the delay independent robust absolute stability conditions for both direct and indirect Lurie control systems. The results obtained are less conservative and easy to verify.

Abstract:A new analysis method for robust absolute stability is proposed for interval indirect and direct Lurie control systems.By introducing a new form of description for interval matrices,novel criteria for absolute stability of the indirect and direct control systems,are proposed based on Lyapunov stability theory,respectively.The criteria are described by a set of linear matrix inequalities,which results in less conservativeness and facilitates the computations.Numerical examples for both direct and indirect systems are given to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:The primary disadvantage of current design techniques of robust control is their inability to deal effectively with pre-specified time-domain performances of systems. We consider robust control for uncertain linear systems with pre-specified time-domain performances, i.e. for such systems with constraints on outputs of systems. Using the practical stability theory, we obtain a design procedure of robust control for uncertain linear systems with constraints on outputs of systems. Abstract:In this paper the impulsive control scheme of Lurie systems is represented. Using Lyapunov’s direct method and comparison technique, we present novel conditions under which impulsively controlled Lurie systems are asymptotically stable, and give the estimate of the upper bound of impulse interval. In particular, globally exponential stability of impulsive control of Lurie systems is presented. Impulsive controller design with examples is provided to show the feasibility and effectiveness of our method finally.

Abstract:Using linear matrix inequality approach, this paper deals with a class of uncertain dynamic systems. The class of systems under consideration is described by a continuous-time uncertain model with multiple time-varying delays in both states and controls. The uncertainties are unknown but norm-bounded. A sufficient condition for a class of uncertain delay system to be stabilizable is obtaincd. It is shown that the construction of the stabilizing controller involves solving several linear matrix in-qualities. Finally, an example is given both to illustrate the proposed approach's effectiveness and to show the proposed approach's advantages over Riccati equation approach.
