Abstract:The traditional CIMS reference architecture is not practically effective in the system analysis, design and implementation. The paper introduces a new CIMS application architecture consisting of three layers: data layer, logic layer and controlling layer, and specifies the composition and relationship of each layer in detail. Moreover, on the basis of the reference model,an instructive system analysis and design method is described, which has been proved to be successful in Qingshan Paper Mill' CIMS.

Its implementation principle, basic framework and features are also analyzed in detail. This software package has been successfully applied on the vinyl chloride rectifying equipment in Qindao Chemical Factory. China. In addition, the development and application of advanced process control software based on OPC technology is prospected.

Abstract:According to the characteristics of the PCB manufacturing industry, this paper proposes a general functional model and a systematic informational integrated model which is suitable for the PCB manufacture. This paper emphasizes manufacturability analyses system and the schedule optimization of the cluster driller system .It has been proved that this scheme is very effective and can provide a reference paradigm for the same kind of enterprises to implement their CIMS.

Abstract:According to the characteristics of the polyester fiber industry, the overall structural model was proposed, which is suitable for half continuous process. The three level structure control model, system integrated functional model and quality control system functional model for production procedures were also put forward. The overall structural model consists of the comprehensive optimized control subsystem for production process quality, the management information system and the information integrated support subsystem. It has been proved that the proposed models are effective.

Abstract:For the application of real-time database in a petrochemical plant,the article put forwards to a new concept to resolve the communication among real-time database and DCS,control software,and Web-based user interface.The scheme is developed based on Windows 2000 Server using the technique of multe-threading,anolymous pipe and WinSock,etc.The results of long industrial running of this scheme show that it is more effective and feasible for industrial process.

Abstract:The integration of process design and control (IPDC) has become increasingly important and received considerable academic and practitioner attention over the recent decades. Moreover, some works in the field have utilized advanced controllers into IPDC framework. Considering the fact that the hierarchical control structure which consists of local PID controllers and an advanced process control (APC) as the central controller has been used widely in industrial practice, in this paper, the two-level hierarchical control structure is taken into account within the IPDC framework for the first time. The IPDC problem using hierarchical control structure is formulated as a bi-level optimization problem, which separates the design decisions from the APC decisions and then keeps the problem size manageable. And the APC decisions are incorporated in a superstructure-based dynamic optimization formulation which considers both cost and controllability. A continuous stirred tank reactor is used to test the proposed IPDC methodology.

Abstract:According to our investigation and research about several CIM-applied enterprises including Chengdu Aircraft Corporation, Beijing First Machine Tool Factory, etc., problems and difficulties faced by manufacturing enterprises are analyzed. After that, goals and the functions of an operation and control engine are given. The engine is an important part of MACIP (Manufacturing Enterprise CIMS Application Integration Platform). It can also act as CIM OS (operating system). An implementation method based on micro kernel technology is presented. Its mechanism supports incrementally complication, which complies with current trend of developing CIMS applications step by step. Abstract:Computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) has received growing acceptance from both industries and academia alike. However, even with the increasing reliance on computing technologies, there are still wide-spread concerns about the true impacts on the actual performance of the companies implementing CIM. In particular, the overall coherence of the entire system has been considered as a key issue. To address this problem, there is a significant amount of interest in the CIM system architecture, that is, in considering the integration of technology, people and business from the viewpoint of a global system. This paper will first review some major existing CIM system architectures, including CIM-OSA, GRAI-GIM, and PERA. Then, based on the requirements from industry, a stair-like CIM system architecture with six different views and five development stages is proposed. Some modeling formalisms are introduced and discussion of its suitability for industrial application is included.

Abstract:Based on analyzing the present situation and the characteristics of production operations in tobacco industry, the system architecture and function module of HY-CIMS are described. Some problems and the solved methods of key technologies on design and implementation are pointed out. Based on the operation situation, the system includes design, production, sale, purvey, storage, financial affairs, spare part, quality management, personnel, labor and capital, hieroglyph file, OA, synthetical query, etc. subsystems. Abstract:In order to accommodate the new change brougt by the reengineering of enterprises, a new CIMS application intergration platform with more flexibility is required. In this paper, flexible software system concepts are proposed. The architecture model of FSS is studied. A feasible engineering approach named business process reuse object (BPRO) is given. A architecture of new CIMS application integration platform is planned, with distributed whole and layered unit architecture models proposed and reuse driven software engineering business process approach using object oriented technology introduced. With more flexibility, the architecture of new CIMS application integration platform is fit for the reengineering enterprises and has important application value.
