Abstract:Ten new 5-amino-1,2,3-thiadiazole derivatives containing benzenesulfonylureas, Schiff bases and amides were synthesized. Their structures were confirmed by H-1 NMR, IR, MS and elementary analysis. The preliminary biological tests show that compound 8 has biological activity.

Abstract:Ten novel benzoyl ureas containing a 1,3,4-thiadiazole group were synthesized by the reaction of 2-amino-5-substituted phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole and 2,6-difluorobenzoyl isocyanate, and structurally confirmed by H-1 NMR, IR, ESI-MS techniques and elemental analysis. Preliminary bioassay test indicated that some compounds showed insecticidal activity. Compounds 3d (3,5-(CH3)(2)) and 3g (4-C4H9) exhibit good insecticidal activity against Aphis craccivora with higer than 90% mortality.

Abstract:Reaction of 2-amino-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-5-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-1,3-thiazole with various substituted benzaldehydes produced a series of novel thiazole Schiff bases containing 1H-1,2,4-triazole ring. Their structures were characterized by H-1 NMR spectra and elemental analysis. The bioassay data indicated that some of the title compounds showed certain antitumor activities.

Abstract:In order to investigate the biological activity of novel thiourea compounds, some novel 1,2,3-thiadiazole derivatives containing 1,3,4-thiadiazole were synthesized under phase transfer catalyzed condition (PEG-600) by multi-step reactions. The chemical structures of all compounds were established by H-1 NMR, FTIR, MS, and elemental analysis, and some of these compounds were investigated for fungicidal activity and plant growth regulatory activity. The bioassay results indicated that some of these compound exhibited moderate activities.

Abstract:Ten novel diheterocyclic thio-ether compounds containing 1,2,4-triazolo pyrimidine and 1,2,4-triazole moieties were designed and synthesized with 2-mercapto-5,7-dimethyl-triazolo pyrimidine as starting material.All the compounds obtained were comfired by MS and 1H NMR.Preliminary biological activity test indicates most of compounds 6 display good activity against C.beticola.Especially,compounds 6b,6e,6f,6g and 6h can reach grade A(≥90%) at a concentration of 50 μg/L.

Abstract:Eleven new thiazol-containing 1H-1,2,4-triazole derivatives were designed and synthesized by utilizing 3,3-dimethylbutan-2-one as starting material. Their structures were characterized by IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, and elemental analysis. Furthermore, some compounds' structures were confirmed with MS and X-ray diffraction and the biological activities of these compounds were evaluated, including in vitro fungicidal and plant-growth regulatory activities. The primary bioassay results indicated that these compounds showed low antifungal activities while exhibited promising plant-growth regulatory activities.

Abstract:Eleven 6-(substituted)-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]thiadiazole derivatives 5a similar to 5k were synthesized by cyclization of 4-amino-5-(3,4,5-trimethoxybenzyl)-3-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole (4) with various substituted aromatic acids through a single step reaction. Abstract:Three series of new thiazolidinone derivatives, namely 5-arylidene-4-thiazolidinones (6a similar to 6j), 4-thiazolidinethione (7a similar to 7e and 8) and 4-cyanoiminothiazolidine (11a similar to 11e and 12) were synthesized from 2-substituted-3-aryl-4-thiazolidinones (4a similar to 4e and 5). The intermediates 4a similar to 4e and 5 were synthesized by the condensation of aldehyde, amine and mercapto acetic acid. Their structures were characterized by elemental analysis and H-1 NMR spectra, and the structure of 4b was determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction method. The preliminary bioassay showed that some title compounds exhibited certain fungicidal activities and promoting cucumber cotyledon root-formation activities.

Abstract:Some new sulfoxide compounds containing 1,2,3-thiadiazole moiety were synthesized from diethyl carbonate and hydrazine hydrate by multi-step reactions. Their structures were confirmed by NMR, MS, and elemental analysis. One of the title compounds, 5-(4-cyclopropyl-5-((3-fluorobenzyl)sulfinyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)-4-methyl-1,2,3-thiadiazole (C15H14FN5OS2), was structurally determined by a single crystal X-ray diffraction study. The biological activity of the title compound was determined, and the results showed that it displays moderate biological activities.

Abstract:A series of novel N-1-(5-substituted-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-N-3-substituted phenyl-urea derivatives have been synthesized and evaluated for their anti-tumor activity. The effect of the title compounds on tumor metastasis was analyzed by Lewis-lung-carcinoma model. The bioassay showed that some title compounds dramatically reduced the numbers of lung metastasis and depressed the primary tumor growth. The structures of compounds were identified from the elemental analysis, IR and H-1 NMR.

Abstract:A series of new N′-[N-(2,3,4-tri-O-acetyl-β-d-xylopyranosyl)thiocarbamoyl]-2-[(1-aryl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)sulfanyl]acetohydrazides 5a–5e were synthesized rapidly in high yields from 2-(1-aryl-1H-tetrazol-5-ylsulfanyl)acetohydrazides 3a–3e and 2,3,4-tri-O-acetyl-β-d-xylopyranosyl isothiocyanate 4, then 5a–5e were converted to a series of new 5-(1-aryl-1H-tetrazol-5-ylsulfanylmethyl)-N-(2,3,4-tri-O-acetyl-β-d-xylopyranosyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-amines 6a–6e and 5-(1-aryl-1H-tetrazol-5-ylsulfanylmethyl)-N-(2,3,4-tri-O-acetyl-β-d-xylopyranosyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-amines 7a–7e, respectively under mercuric acetate/alcohol system or acetic anhydride/phosphoric acid system, then deacetylated in the solution of CH3ONa/CH3OH. All of the novel compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, MS and elemental analysis. The structures of compounds 2e, 3e, 5a and 5c have been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Some of the synthesized compounds displayed PTP1B inhibition and microorganism inhibition.

Abstract:Twenty eight novel 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives were synthesized using different phenylacetic acids as the starting material, followed by the reaction of cyclization, coupling, deprotection, and finally introduced different substituted benzene sulfonamides. The structures of all target compounds were identified by H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and HRMS. The biological evaluation was performed on PC-3 (prostatic cancer cell), MDA-MB-231 (breast cancer cell) and K562 (chronic myelogenous leukemia cell) by 3-(4,5-dimethylthigal-2-yl)-2,5-(diphenyltetragalium) bromide (MTT) assay. The results suggested that some compounds exhibited good anti-proliferative activities against tumor cell lines. Especially, compounds 6a and 6b showed similar inhibitory activities against K562 cell compared with gossypol.

Abstract:A series of novel glycosylthiadiazole derivatives, namely 2-phenylamino-5-glycosyl-1,3,4-thiadiazoles, were designed and synthesized by condensation between sugar aldehydes A/B and substituted thiosemicarbazide C followed by oxidative cyclization by treating with manganese dioxide. The original fungicidal activities results showed that some title compounds exhibited excellent fungicidal activities against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary and Pyricularia oryzae Cav, especially compounds F-5 and G-8 which displayed better fungicidal activities than the commercial fungicide chlorothalonil. At the same time, the preliminary studies based on the Elson-Morgan method indicated that many compounds exhibited some inhibitory activity toward glucosamine-6-phosphate synthase (GlmS). The structure-activity relationships (SAR) are discussed in terms of the effects of the substituents on both the benzene and the sugar ring.

Abstract:In view of various biological activities of benzoxazolinone and thiadiazole derivatives, the preparation of 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives containing benzoxazolinone moiety is of great significance. In this paper, ten novel 2- arylformylamino-5-(2-benzoxazolinone-3-yl) methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazoles (Ta -7j) were synthesized by 2-aminophenol and urea as the starting materials via a series of reactions. The structures of the target compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR and elemental analysis.
