Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C15H13ClN4O6, were obtained from a condensation reaction of 2-chloro-3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. Within the dinitrophenyl group, the distances of 1.413 (3) and 1.405 (3) Angstrom for the C-C bonds close to the imino group are appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.372 (4) Angstrom for other aromatic C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The benzene rings in the molecule are nearly coplanar, and the overlapped arrangement of benzene rings of neighboring molecules shows the existence of a pi-pi stacking interaction.

The molecule displays a nearly planar structure. The overlapped arrangement of nearly parallel benzene rings of neighboring molecules and centroid-centroid distance of 3.5642 (16) Angstrom suggest pi,pi stacking. Adjacent molecules are linked to each other via N-H...O hydrogen bonds to form a helical supramolecular structure.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C(13)H(10)N(4)O(4), were obtained from a condensation reaction of benzaldehyde and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The molecule assumes an approximately planar E configuration. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the average distance for the aromatic C-C bonds close to the imino group [1.417 (3) A] is appreciably longer than the average distance for the other aromatic C-C bonds in the same phenyl ring [1.373 (3) A]. This increased distance may be a result of the overlap of the non-bonding orbital of the imino N atom with the pi orbitals of the arene. It is likely that pi-pi stacking exists in the crystal structure.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C10H12N4O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of isobutyraldehyde and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The molecule exists in an E configuration. In the dinitrophenyl moiety, the average distance of 1.419 (3) Angstrom for the aromatic C - C bonds adjacent to the imino group is appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.375 (3) Angstrom for the other aromatic C - C bonds in the same ring. The overlapped arrangement and separations of 3.387 (15) and 3.369 (15) Angstrom between parallel rings suggest the existence of pi-pi-stacking interactions between neighboring molecules.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound C22H12N6.2HCl.2H(2)O (DAA.HCl) were obtained from a HCl aqueous solution of 4, 5-diazafluorene-9-one azine. The crystal belongs to monoclinic, 3 space group P2(1)/c with a = 5.203(3), b = 8.991(3), c = 22.17(1) Angstrom, beta = 92.13(4)degrees, V = 1036.2(9) Angstrom, Z = 2, C22H18N6O2Cl2, M-r = 468.1, D-c = 1.503 g/cm(3), F(000) = 484, mu(MoKalpha) = 0.344 mm(-1), R = 0.052 and wR = 0.056 for 755 observed reflections. The Cl...N(2) distance of 2.999(6) Angstrom and Cl... H-N(2) angle of 160.8(8)degrees imply the existence of a stronger H-bond between Cl and DAA. And both the rather longer Cl-H distance of 1.814(2) Angstrom and the unexpected shorter N(2)-H distance of 1.236(6) Angstrom suggest the protonation of DAA molecule and explain the weak coordination ability of DAA to a metal center in the acidic solution.

The two benzene rings of the title molecule have a dihedral angle of 16.17 (6)degrees. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the distances of 1.422 (3) and 1.415 (3) Angstrom for the C-C bonds close to the imine group are appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.376 (3) Angstrom for other aromatic C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The overlapped arrangement of chlorophenyl rings of neighbouring molecules shows the existence of a pi-pi stacking interaction.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C16H14N4O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of benzylideneacetone and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The molecule has a nearly planar structure with a dihedral angle of 7.57 (4)degrees between the dinitrophenyl and benzylidene mean planes. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the distances of 1.420 (2) and 1.411 (3) Angstrom for the C - C bonds near the imine group are longer than the average distance of 1.374 (3) Angstrom for the other C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The short N-C distance of 1.338 (2) Angstrom indicates electron delocalization between the imine group and dinitrophenyl ring.

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].

Abstract:C16H17N3O2, orthorhombic, Pna2\ (no. 33), a = 20.196(4) A, b = 6.215(1)A,c = 11.243(2)Ä,V= 1411.3A 3 ,Z = 4,Source of material 2-Hydroxybenzoylhydrazine (0.02 mol, 3.04 g) was dissolved in anhydrous ethanol (50 ml) and 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde (0.02 mol, 2.98 g) was added to it.The mixture was refluxed for 2 h, the precipitate formed was collected by filtration, and washed with ethanol.The product was recrystallized from ethanol and dried under reduced pressure to give the title compound.The compound (2.0 mmol, 0.56 g) was dissolved in DMF (30 ml) and kept at room temperature for 30 d to obtain yellow block crystals, which were collected and washed with distilled water. Experimental detailsΗ and H2 atoms were located from difference maps, and their parameters were refined.The remaining Η atoms were positioned geometrically and allowed to ride on their parent atoms.
