Abstract:In this paper we study the following second-order periodic system:x′′+V′(x)+p(x,t)=0,whereV(x)has a singularity. Under some assumptions on theV(x)andp(x,t)by Ortega’ small twist theorem, we obtain the existence of quasi-periodic solutions and boundedness of all the solutions.

Abstract:The second-order periodic system with p-Laplacian and unbounded time-dependent perturbation terms is investigated. Using the principle integral method, it is shown that under certain assumptions on the unbounded and periodic terms, all solutions to the equation possess boundedness.

Abstract:In this paper we study the boundedness of solutions for the second-order differential equation (Fp(x′)+ψ(x′))′+αFp(x+)−βFp(x−)=φ(t,x), where Fp(s)=|s|p−2s, p>1 and α, β are strictly positive constants satisfying a resonant relation πα1/psinπ/p+πβ1/psinπ/p=2πn with n being a positive integer, and φ(t,x) is a 2π-periodic function in t. There exists a function W(θ) such that if it is of constant sign, under some increasing restrictions on ψ(x′) and φ(t,x), by a small twist theorem we prove that all the solutions of the above equation are bounded in the sense of Lagrangian stability.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish two different existence results of positive periodic solutions for second order non-autonomous singular dynamical systems. The first one is based on a nonlinear alternative principle of Leray–Schauder and the result is applicable to the case of a strong singularity as well as the case of a weak singularity. The second one is based on Schauder's fixed point theorem and the result sheds some new light on problems with weak singularities and proves that in some situations weak singularities may help create periodic solutions. Recent results in the literature are generalized and significantly improved.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the existence of unbounded solutions and periodic solutions for the perturbed asymmetric oscillator with dampingx '' + f(x)x' + ax(+) - bx(-) + g(x) = p(t),where x(+) = max{x, 0}, x(-) = max{-x, 0}, a and b are two positive constants, f (x) is a continuous function and p(t) is a 27-periodic continuous function, g(x) is locally Lipschitz continuous and bounded. We discuss the existence of periodic solutions and unbounded solutions under two classes of conditions: the resonance case 1/root a + 1/root b is an element of Q and the nonresonance case 1/root a + 1/root b is not an element of Q. Unlike many existing results in the literature where the function g(x) is required to have asymptotic limits at infinity, our main results here allow g(x) be oscillatory without asymptotic limits.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the variational principle and the existence of periodic solutions for a new class of second-order ordinary p-Laplacian systems. The variational principle is given by making use of two methods. We obtain three existence theorems of periodic solutions to this problem on various sufficient conditions on the potential function F(t,x) or nonlinearity ∇F(t,x). Four examples are presented to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of our results.
