Abstract:For a class of asymptotically periodic quasilinear Schr?dinger equations with critical growth the existence of ground states is proved.First applying a change of variables the quasilinear Schr?dinger equations are reduced to semilinear Schr?dinger equations in which the corresponding functional is well defined in H1 RN .Moreover there is a one-to-one correspondence between ground states of the semilinear Schr?dinger equations and the quasilinear Schr?dinger equations.Then the mountain-pass theorem is used to find nontrivial solutions for the semilinear Schr?dinger equations. Finally under certain monotonicity conditions using the Nehari manifold method and the concentration compactness principle the nontrivial solutions are found to be exactly the same as the ground states of the semilinear Schr?dinger equations.

Abstract:In this paper, we are concerned with the existence of ground state solutions for the following quasilinear Schrödinger equation: \begin{document}$-Δ u+V(x)u-Δ (u^2)u = K(x)|u|^{22^*-2}u+g(x,u), \ \ x∈ \mathbb{R}^N\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \left( 1 \right)$ \end{document} where $N≥ 3$, $V, \ g$ are asymptotically periodic functions in $x$. By combining variational methods and the concentration-compactness principle, we obtain a ground state solution for equation (1) under a new reformative condition which unify the asymptotic processes of $V, g $ at infinity.

Abstract:In this paper, by using a concentration-compactness argument, we study the existence of ground state solutions for nonlinear Schrodinger equations with asymptotically periodic potentials. In particular, when the coefficients are "competing", some sufficient conditions are given to guarantee the existence of ground state solutions, which improve and generalize some previous results in the literature.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the following Chern-Simons-Schrödinger system{−Δu+V(x)u+A0u+A12u+A22u=f(x,u),x∈R2,∂1A2−∂2A1=−12u2,∂1A1+∂2A2=0,∂1A0=A2u2,∂2A0=−A1u2, where V is the potential, ∂1=∂∂x1,∂2=∂∂x2 for x=(x1,x2)∈R2, Aj:R2→R is the gauge field (j=0,1,2) and the nonlinearity f(x,s)∈C(R2×R,R) behaves like e4πs2 as |s|→+∞. If V and f are both asymptotically periodic at infinity, we prove the existence of positive ground state solutions by combining the Nehari manifold methods with the Trudinger-Moser inequality.

Abstract:In this paper we investigate a class of logarithmic Schrödinger–Poisson system with critical growth which are from physically relevant backgrounds. Under suitable assumptions on the potential V ( x ), we obtain the existence of ground state solution for sufficiently small via using a constrained minimization on a Nehari manifold and some new techniques. Specially, by restricting the least energy c to a suitable interval, we overcome some difficulties brought by the critical term for restoring the compactness of the minimizing sequence of the least energy c .

Under some suitable conditions on the potential and nonlinearity, we obtain the existence of ground state solutions for large $$\lambda $$ by using dual approach and Nehari manifold method.

Abstract:This article concerns the planar Schrodinger-Poisson system -Delta u + V(x)u + phi u = f(x, u), x is an element of R-2, Delta phi = u(2), x is an element of R-2, where V(x) and f(x, u) are periodic or asymptotically periodic in x. By combining the variational approach, the non-Nehari manifold approach and new analytic techniques, we establish the existence of ground state solutions for the above problem in the periodic and asymptotically periodic cases. In particular, in our study, f is not required to satisfy the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz type condition or the Nehari-type monotonic condition.
