Abstract:We prove several formulas related to Hodge theory and the Kodaira–Spencer–Kuranishi deformation theory of Kähler manifolds. As applications, we present a construction of globally convergent power series of integrable Beltrami differentials on Calabi–Yau manifolds and also a construction of global canonical family of holomorphic (n,0) -forms on the deformation spaces of Calabi–Yau manifolds. Similar constructions are also applied to the deformation spaces of compact Kähler manifolds.

Abstract:We analyse infinitesimal deformations of morphisms of locally free sheaves on a smooth projective variety $X$ over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. In particular, we describe a differential graded Lie algebra controlling the deformation problem. As an application, we study infinitesimal deformations of pairs given by a locally free sheaf and a subspace of it sections with a view towards Brill-Noether theory.

Abstract:We study deformation theory of mod $p$ Galois representations of $p$-adic fields with values in generalised tori, such as $L$-groups of (possibly non-split) tori. We show that the corresponding deformation rings are formally smooth over a group algebra of a finite abelian $p$-group. We compute their dimension and the set of irreducible components.

Abstract:We calculate the local Fourier transformations for a class of ${\overline{\mathbb Q}_\ell}$-sheaves. In particular, we verify a conjecture of Laumon and Malgrange [18, 2.6.3]. As an application, we calculate the local monodromy of ℓ-adic hypergeometric sheaves introduced by Katz [15]. We also discuss the characteristic p analogue of the Turrittin-Levelt Theorem for D-modules.

Abstract:We study deformation theory of mod $p$ Galois representations of $p$-adic fields with values in generalised reductive group schemes, such as $L$-groups and $C$-groups. We show that the corresponding deformation rings are complete intersections of expected dimension. We determine their irreducible components in many cases and show that they and their special fibres are normal and complete intersection.

Abstract:Let $l$ and $p$ be distinct primes, let $F$ be a local field with residue field of characteristic $p$, and let $\mathfrak{X}$ be the irreducible component of the moduli space of Langlands parameters for $GL_3$ over $\mathbb{Z}_l$ corresponding to parameters of Steinberg type. We show that $\mathfrak{X}$ is Cohen-Macaulay and compute explicit equations for it. We also compute the Weil divisor class group of the special fibre of $\mathfrak{X}$, motivated by work of Manning for $GL_2$. Our methods involve the calculation of the cohomology of certain vector bundles on the flag variety, and build on work of Snowden, Vilonen-Xue, and Ngo.

Formal deformations of modular forms and multiple L-values

Abstract:We relate analytically defined deformations of modular curves and modular forms from the literature to motivic periods via cohomological descriptions of deformation theory. Leveraging cohomological vanishing results, we prove the existence and essential uniqueness of deformations, which we make constructive via established Lie algebraic arguments and a notion of formal logarithmic deformations. Further, we construct a canonical and a totally holomorphic canonical universal family of deformations of modular forms of all weights, which we obtain from the canonical cocycle associated with periods on the moduli space $\mathcal{M}_{1,1}$. Our uniqueness statement shows that non-critical multiple $\mathrm{L}$-values, which appear in our deformations but are a priori non-geometric, are genuinely linked to deformations. Our work thus suggests a new geometric perspective on them.

The method used in this paper can be used to show a conjecture of Ramero which states that the Fourier transformation of an analytic sheaf with meromorphic ramification still has meromorphic ramification.

The cotangent complex is defined in the derived category through the homology localization functor. The basic properties and results of a deformation theory are proved. Abstract:For a smooth Deligne-Mumford stack over $\CC$, we define its associated Kodaira-Spencer differential graded Lie algebra and show that the deformation functor of the stack is isomorphic to the deformation functor of the Kodaira-Spencer algebra if the stack is proper over $\CC$.

Abstract:We investigate the deformation of an $L_\infty$ structure that encodes the geometric information about a smooth vector bundle. We establish that this specific type of deformation endows the bundle with a Lie algebroid structure. Additionally, we compute the Atiyah class and Atiyah-Chern classes in the geometrically deformed case. The precise relationship between the first Atiyah-Chern class and the modular class is shown. In the case of action Lie algebroids, the Atiyah-Chern classes at the leading order are given by the equivariant Chern characters.

Abstract:We give an elementary construction of the tangent-obstruction theory of the deformations of the pair $(X,L)$ with $X$ a reduced local complete intersection scheme and $L$ a line bundle on $X$. This generalizes the classical deformation theory of pairs in case $X$ is smooth. A criteria for sections of $L$ to extend is also given.

Abstract:A theorem of Lurie and Pridham establishes a correspondence between formal moduli problems and differential graded Lie algebras in characteristic zero, thereby formalising a well-known principle in deformation theory. We introduce a variant of differential graded Lie algebras, called partition Lie algebras, in arbitrary characteristic. We then explicitly compute the homotopy groups of free algebras, which parametrise operations. Finally, we prove generalisations of the Lurie-Pridham correspondence classifying formal moduli problems via partition Lie algebras over an arbitrary field, as well as over a complete local base.

On deformation rings of residual Galois representations with three Jordan-Holder factors and modularity

Abstract:In this paper, we study Fontaine-Laffaille, self-dual deformations of a mod p non-semisimple Galois representation of dimension n with its Jordan-Holder factors being three mutually non-isomorphic absolutely irreducible representations. We show that under some conditions regarding the orders of certain Selmer groups, the universal deformation ring is a discrete valuation ring. Given enough information on the Hecke algebra, we also prove an R = T theorem in the general context. We then apply our results to abelian surfaces with cyclic rational isogenies and certain 6-dimensional representations arising from automorphic forms congruent to Ikeda lifts. Assuming the Bloch-Kato conjecture, our result identifies special L-value conditions for the existence of a unique abelian surface isogeny class and an R = T theorem for certain 6-dimensional Galois representations.

Abstract:Kashiwara, Polesello, Schapira and D'Agnolo defined canonical deformation quantizations of a holomorphic symplectic manifold and a holomorphic Lagrangian submanifold equipped with an orientation data. The goal of this paper is to use deformation quantization modules to construct a Fukaya-like category of holomorphic Lagrangians, resolving a conjecture of Joyce. Our main result describes the RHom complex between two such deformation quantization modules associated to a pair of Lagrangian submanifolds in terms of the derived geometry of the Lagrangian intersection. Namely, we identify the RHom complex with the DT sheaf associated to the d-critical structure on the Lagrangian intersection. Via a Riemann-Hilbert correspondence this describes the RHom complex in the category of microsheaves of sheaf quantizations of conic holomorphic Lagrangians.

Abstract:Cohesive modules give a dg-enhancement of the bounded derived category of coherent sheaves on a complex manifold via superconnections. In this paper we discuss the deformation theory of cohesive modules on compact complex manifolds. This generalizes the deformation theory of holomorphic vector bundles and coherent sheaves. We also develop the theory of Kuranishi maps and obstructions of deformations of cohesive modules and give some examples of unobstructed deformations.
