Abstract:With the gradual deepening of information technology,two major capacities of the computer systems,computing and storage capacity are increasingly demanded,especially the storage capacity.This paper mainly studied the evaluation system of mass storage systems based on SAN.The focuses of evaluation system included the performance,energy consumption functionality,availability,and reliability.The system is built for six layers,which are typical applications,storage systems software,information organization's core systems,storage networking,storage equipment,and storage devices.For each layer,specific indicators have been made and mathematical model and analysis for calculating the score of each indicator are also made.Finally,according to requirements of different storage systems,and the standardized scores,horizontal comparison for different systems have been done.
