Abstract:The monomorphism category $\mathcal S_n(\mathcal X)$ is introduced, where $\mathcal X$ is a full subcategory of the module category $A$-mod of Artin algebra $A$. The key result is a reciprocity of the monomorphism operator $\mathcal S_n$ and the left perpendicular operator $^\perp$: for a cotilting $A$-module $T$, there is a canonical construction of a cotilting $T_n(A)$-module ${\rm \bf m}(T)$, such that $\mathcal S_n(^\perp T) = \ ^\perp {\rm \bf m}(T)$. As applications, $\mathcal S_n(\mathcal X)$ is a resolving contravariantly finite subcategory in $T_n(A)$-mod with $\hat{\mathcal S_n(\mathcal X)} = T_n(A)$-mod if and only if $\mathcal X$ is a resolving contravariantly finite subcategory in $A$-mod with $\hat{\mathcal X} = A$-mod. For a Gorenstein algebra $A$, the category $T_n(A)\mbox{-}\mathcal Gproj$ of Gorenstein-projective $T_n(A)$-modules can be explicitly determined as $\mathcal S_n(^\perp A)$. Also, self-injective algebras $A$ can be characterized by the property $T_n(A)\mbox{-}\mathcal Gproj = \mathcal S_n(A)$. Using $\mathcal S_n(A)= \ ^\perp {\rm \bf m}(D(A_A))$, a characterization of $\mathcal S_n(A)$ of finite type is obtained.
Tilting and cotilting modules over concealed canonical algebras

Abstract:We study infinite dimensional tilting modules over a concealed canonical algebra of domestic or tubular type. In the domestic case, such tilting modules are constructed by using the technique of universal localization, and they can be interpreted in terms of Gabriel localizations of the corresponding category of quasi-coherent sheaves over a noncommutative curve of genus zero. In the tubular case, we have to distinguish between tilting modules of rational and irrational slope. For rational slope the situation is analogous to the domestic case. In contrast, for any irrational slope, there is just one tilting module of that slope up to equivalence. We also provide a dual description of infinite dimensional cotilting modules and a classification result for the indecomposable pure-injective modules.

Abstract:In this paper, the authors introduce a new definition of ∞-tilting (resp. cotilting) subcategories with infinite projective dimensions (resp. injective dimensions) in an extriangulated category. They give a Bazzoni characterization of ∞-tilting (resp. cotilting) subcategories. Also, they obtain a partial Auslander-Reiten correspondence between ∞-tilting (resp. cotilting) subcategories and coresolving (resp. resolving) subcategories with an -projective generator (resp. -injective cogenerator) in an extriangulated category.

Abstract:Let $\Lambda$ be a finite-dimensional algebra. A wide subcategory of $\mathsf{mod}\Lambda$ is called left finite if the smallest torsion class containing it is functorially finite. In this paper, we prove that the wide subcategories of $\mathsf{mod}\Lambda$ arising from $\tau$-tilting reduction are precisely the Serre subcategories of left finite wide subcategories. As a consequence, we show that the class of such subcategories is closed under further $\tau$-tilting reduction. This leads to a natural way to extend the definition of the "$\tau$-cluster morphism category" of $\Lambda$ to arbitrary finite-dimensional algebras. This category was recently constructed by Buan-Marsh in the $\tau$-tilting finite case and by Igusa-Todorov in the hereditary case.

Partial Tilting Module and Module Categories Without Short Cycles

Abstract:Let Λ be Artin algebra, partial tilting module is defined by projective dimension less than 1 and the first tensor equals to 0. Then a module is the middle term of a short chain equaling to lying in a short cycle, which can be used to prove some theorems of partial tilting modules. The main conclusion of this article is M and X are indecomposable modules in module categories without short cycles. If M is sincere module, then M is partial tilting module. Moreover, if there exists nonzero morphism from X to M, then X is also partial tilting module.

Abstract:Motivated by its links to $\tau$-tilting theory, we introduce a generalization of cotorsion pairs in module categories. Such pairs are also linked to co-t-structures in corresponding triangulated categories, and to cotorsion pairs in certain extension closed (and hence extriangulated) subcategories, which we call two-term categories.

Abstract:Abstract The main theme of this paper is to study $\tau $ -tilting subcategories in an abelian category $\mathscr {A}$ with enough projective objects. We introduce the notion of $\tau $ -cotorsion torsion triples and investigate a bijection between the collection of $\tau $ -cotorsion torsion triples in $\mathscr {A}$ and the collection of support $\tau $ -tilting subcategories of $\mathscr {A}$ , generalizing the bijection by Bauer, Botnan, Oppermann, and Steen between the collection of cotorsion torsion triples and the collection of tilting subcategories of $\mathscr {A}$ . General definitions and results are exemplified using persistent modules. If $\mathscr {A}=\mathrm{Mod}\mbox {-}R$ , where R is a unitary associative ring, we characterize all support $\tau $ -tilting (resp. all support $\tau ^-$ -tilting) subcategories of $\mathrm{Mod}\mbox {-}R$ in terms of finendo quasitilting (resp. quasicotilting) modules. As a result, it will be shown that every silting module (resp. every cosilting module) induces a support $\tau $ -tilting (resp. support $\tau ^{-}$ -tilting) subcategory of $\mathrm{Mod}\mbox {-}R$ . We also study the theory in $\mathrm {Rep}(Q, \mathscr {A})$ , where Q is a finite and acyclic quiver. In particular, we give an algorithm to construct support $\tau $ -tilting subcategories in $\mathrm {Rep}(Q, \mathscr {A})$ from certain support $\tau $ -tilting subcategories of $\mathscr {A}$ .

Abstract:Let $\mathscr{C}$ be an extriangulated category with enough projectives and injectives. We give a new definition of tilting subcategories of $\mathscr{C}$ and prove it coincides with the definition given in [19]. As applications, we introduce the notions of support $\tau$-tilting subcategories and $\tau$-cotorsion pairs of $\mathscr{C}$. We build a bijection between support $\tau$-tilting subcategories and certain $\tau$-cotorsion pairs. Moreover, this bijection induces a bijection between tilting subcategories and certain cotorsion pairs.

On unimodular module categories

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{C}$ be a finite tensor category and $\mathcal{M}$ an exact left $\mathcal{C}$-module category. We call $\mathcal{M}$ unimodular if the finite multitensor category ${\sf Rex}_{\mathcal{C}}(\mathcal{M})$ of right exact $\mathcal{C}$-module endofunctors of $\mathcal{M}$ is unimodular. In this article, we provide various characterizations, properties, and examples of unimodular module categories. As our first application, we employ unimodular module categories to construct (commutative) Frobenius algebra objects in the Drinfeld center of any finite tensor category. When $\mathcal{C}$ is a pivotal category, and $\mathcal{M}$ is a unimodular, pivotal left $\mathcal{C}$-module category, the Frobenius algebra objects are symmetric as well. Our second application is a classification of unimodular module categories over the category of finite dimensional representations of a finite dimensional Hopf algebra; this answers a question of Shimizu. Using this, we provide an example of a finite tensor category whose categorical Morita equivalence class does not contain any unimodular tensor category.

Abstract:Let R be a left coherent ring, (R)omega a Wakamatsu tilting module and S = End((R)omega) a right coherent ring. It is shown that the FP-injective dimensions of (R)omega and omega(S) are identical provided both of them are finite. It is also shown that in this case all finitely presented left R-modules (right S-modules) have special (perpendicular to)omega-precovers and special ((perpendicular to)omega)(perpendicular to)-preenvelopes.

Abstract:Some categorical properties of involutive left Q-modules are discussed.Firstly,the product and equalizer of this category are considered,and their conformations are given.Secondly,it is proved that this category has terminal object which is one-element involutive left Q-modules,and initial object when involutive Quantale Q has no zero divisors.It is also obtained that the category of involutive left Q-modules is not connected.Finally,the structure of limit in the category of involutive left Q-modules is given,and the completeness and pullback of the category of involutive left Q-modules are obtained.

Abstract:An important result in tilting theory states that a class of modules over a ring is a tilting class if and only if it is the Ext-orthogonal class to a set of compact modules of bounded projective dimension. Moreover, cotilting classes are precisely the resolving and definable subcategories of the module category whose Ext-orthogonal class has bounded injective dimension. In this article, we prove a derived counterpart of the statements above in the context of silting theory. Silting and cosilting complexes in the derived category of a ring generalise tilting and cotilting modules. They give rise to subcategories of the derived category, called silting and cosilting classes, which are part of both a t-structure and a co-t-structure. We characterise these subcategories: silting classes are precisely those which are intermediate and Ext-orthogonal classes to a set of compact objects, and cosilting classes are precisely the cosuspended, definable and co-intermediate subcategories of the derived category.

Torsion Pairs in Categories of Modules on Ringed Finite Sites

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{C}$ be a small category. In this paper, we mainly study the category of modules $\mathfrak{M}\mbox{od-}\mathfrak{R}$ on ringed sites $(\mathbf{C},\mathfrak{R})$. We firstly reprove the Theorem A of the paper (M. Wu and F. Xu. Skew category algebras and modules on ringed finite sites. J. A. 631, 2023), then we characterize $\mathfrak{M}\mbox{od-}\mathfrak{R}$ in terms of the torsion presheaves on $Gr(\mathfrak{R})$, where $Gr(\mathfrak{R})$ is the linear Grothendieck construction of $\mathfrak{R}$. Finally, we investigate the hereditary torsion pairs, TTF triples and Abelian recollements of $\mathfrak{M}\mbox{od-}\mathfrak{R}$. When $\mathcal{C}$ is finite, the complete classifications of all these are given respectively.

Abstract:For a dualizing module $D$ over a commutative Noetherian ring $R$ with identity, it is known that its Auslander class $\mathscr{A}_D\left(R\right)$ (respectively, Bass class $\mathscr{B}_D\left(R\right)$) is characterized as those $R$-modules with finite Gorenstein flat dimension (respectively, finite Gorenstein injective dimension). We establish an analogue of this result in the context of cotilting modules over general Noetherain rings.

Abstract:To a big n-tilting object in a complete, cocomplete abelian category A with an injective cogenerator we assign a big n-cotilting object in a complete, cocomplete abelian category B with a projective generator, and vice versa. Then we construct an equivalence between the (conventional or absolute) derived categories of A and B. Under various assumptions on A, which cover a wide range of examples (for instance, if A is a module category or, more generally, a locally finitely presentable Grothendieck abelian category), we show that B is the abelian category of contramodules over a topological ring and that the derived equivalences are realized by a contramodule-valued variant of the usual derived Hom-functor.

Abstract:Over $d$-dimensional Cohen-Macaulay rings with a canonical module, $d$-cotilting classes containing the maximal and balanced big Cohen-Macaulay modules are classified. Particular emphasis is paid to the direct limit closure of the balanced big Cohen-Macaulay modules, and the class of modules of depth $d$, which are shown to respectively be the smallest and largest such cotilting classes. Considerations are then given to the interplay between local cohomology, canonical duality and cotilting modules for the class of Gorenstein flat modules over Gorenstein local rings.

Abstract:For a triangulated category C with a cluster tilting subcategory T which contains infinitely many indecomposable objects, the notion of weak T[1]-cluster tilting subcategories of C is introduced. We use them to study the tau-tilting theory in the module category over T. Inspired by the work of Iyama, Jorgensen and Yang (2014), we introduce the notion of tau-tilting subcategories of mod T, and show that there exists a bijection between weak T[1]-cluster tilting subcategories of C and support tau-tilting subcategories of mod T. Moreover, we describe the subcategories of mod T which correspond to cluster tilting subcategories of C. This generalizes and improves results by Adachi, Iyama and Reiten (2014), Beligiannis (2013), and Yang and Zhu (2019).

Abstract:In this paper, we give a complete classification of cotorsion pairs in a cluster category C of type A∞∞ via certain configurations of arcs, called τ-compact Ptolemy diagrams, in an infinite strip with marked points. As applications, we classify t-structures and functorially finite rigid subcategories in C, respectively. We also deduce Liu–Paquette's classification of cluster tilting subcategories of C and Ng's classification of torsion pairs in the cluster category of type A∞.

Abstract:Abstract In a compactly generated triangulated category, we introduce a class of tilting objects satisfying a certain purity condition. We call these the decent tilting objects and show that the tilting heart induced by any such object is equivalent to a category of contramodules over the endomorphism ring of the tilting object endowed with a natural linear topology. This extends the recent result for n ‐tilting modules by Positselski and Št'ovíček. In the setting of the derived category of modules over a ring, we show that the decent tilting complexes are precisely the silting complexes such that their character dual is cotilting. The hearts of cotilting complexes of cofinite type turn out to be equivalent to the category of discrete modules with respect to the same topological ring. Finally, we provide a kind of Morita theory in this setting: Decent tilting complexes correspond to pairs consisting of a tilting and a cotilting‐derived equivalence as described above tied together by a tensor compatibility condition.
