20 Years after Eastern Europe's Radical Change:Review and Reflection

Abstract:In late 1980s, radical changes happened in a chain in eight Eastern European countries, which renounced respectively their socialism systems implemented more than 40 years for transition of marketization, democratization and Europeanisation. After 20 years, for better understanding and reflection of the serious proposition what is socialism and how to build socialism, it is of both theoretical and practical significance to review this unusual historical process and study the inner roots for the collective collapse of socialism in Eastern Europe.
