Entrepreneurial orientation and innovation choices:an integrating research through enterprise competence

Abstract:Studies have demonstrated effects of entrepreneurial orientation on innovation choices.But,it has a little attention about integrating research among entrepreneurial orientation,exploitation and exploration competence,innovation mode choices.This integrating analyses how exploitation and exploration competence influence the choices between entrepreneurial orientation and innovation mode.This research discovers that effects of entrepreneurial orientation on innovation mode are realized through the mediator of enterprise competence.Exploration competence mediates effects of entrepreneurial orientation on radical innovation in different instance.While,in the context that exploration competence is superior,effects of entrepreneurial orientation on incremental innovation are mediated by the interaction of exploration and exploitation competence.On the contrary,in the context that exploitation competence is superior,effects of entrepreneurial orientation on incremental innovation are mediated by exploration and exploitation competence separately.
