An Empirical Research on Influencing Factors of Information Technology Outsourcing Project Performance

Abstract:Based on transaction cost theory,this paper discussed the influencing factors of information technology outsourcing project performance,including strategy alignment,familiarity with outsourcing,asset specificity and uncertainty.We collected empirical data of 103 Chinese firms through a large scale questionnaire survey.Research results indicated that,strategy alignment,familiarity with outsourcing and asset specificity all have significant positive influences on information technology outsourcing project performance,but the relationship between uncertainty and project performance is not significant.
