Abstract:The reform and practice in laboratory course of microbiology are described including basic experiments,comprehensive experiments,experiments with features and teaching experiments with multi-media,ect..By doing these kinds of reform,the study interests of students are stimulated,the teaching quality is improved,and the students' abilities in doing experiments and researches are trained.In this way,the laboratory course of microbiology is made more acceptable in scientificity and rationality.

Abstract:Principles of Microcomputer and Interface Technology is an important professional and basic course for undergraduates of electronic information specialty,which is vital for training and improving the undergraduates' application ability. With the rapid development of computer technology,the system and structure of microprocessor and microcomputer have changed so much that it is necessary to reform the teaching work of the course accordingly in order to satisfy time requirements. The paper expatiates on the main method and measures of teaching reform of the course from various aspects such as teaching content,teaching method and experiment teaching in detail.

Abstract:To improve teaching effect,the experimental teaching reform of undergraduates’microbiology based on system principle of scientific research was carried on.The reform involved in adjusting experiment order,transforming research work,developing comprehensive experiments,and so on.Under the premise of keeping basic microbiological operation training,the principles and importance of the experimental design were inculcated,and the teaching contents were enriched and systematized.The spirit of teamwork and learning interests were also emphasized in order to cultivate undergraduates’comprehensive experimental abilities and bring out the experimental potentials.The reform of undergraduates’microbiology experiments is the fundamental task for guiding them to design and do the scientific research.

Abstract:Microbiology is a key basic professional course for all the students specializing in biology, biotechnology and related majors. To date, microbiology is mainly taught in Chinese within colleges and universities in China. Development of a microbiology course that is taught in English may satisfy the diversified learning needs of the students and promote the "Double First-Class" initiative. We started to teach the microbiology course in English at the East China University of Science and Technology since 2016. This practice was associated with reform and innovation in the teaching methods and contents. The microbiology course taught in English greatly attracted the interest of the attending students and helped improve their professional English learning as well as scientific research. This course provided important support for fostering innovative professional first-class undergraduates under the context of the "Double First-Class" initiative.

Abstract:Assessment is an important component in teaching management,and plays a vital role in learning orientation.In the teaching of Microbiology and Microbial Experiments,a close attention should be paid to such a guiding role.At the beginning of the course,the composition and proportion of the grade points should be outlined.Beside routine participation in class,students should also be able to expand their knowledge body by doing literature research from internet and library.For this purpose,a series of lab reports and a course presentation were required.The lab examination accounted for 10％ of the total score,and the tested skills included inoculating,smearing,staining and oil microscopic technique;The final written examination accounted for 50％ of the total score,and the tested capacities included the abilities to master the basic concepts,the abilities to synthesize multiple knowledge sources,and the abilities to analyze and solve problems.The evaluation guide sets a goal for students to systematically master microbiology knowledge,and to comprehensively improve their experimental skills and innovation abilities as well.

Abstract:Microbes are involved in every aspect of human life. Microbiology is a mandatory subject at the undergraduate level covering majors including life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, agriculture, forestry and food. Along with internationalization and development of the first-class disciplines, teaching microbiology courses in English is highly valued. Here we discuss how to conduct curriculum reform of microbiology teaching in English, and what are the advantages and challenges when teaching in English. The teaching system can be advanced by enhancing interdisciplinary communication so as to promote study and research for students and teachers. We take this practical exploration as an example to communicate with relevant teachers.

Abstract:Recently, post-graduate education has become the focus of teaching in the researchbased universities. Course construction is the most important part to improve the quality of training the post graduate students and to cultivate innovative talents of the students. To meet the need of this flying new time, Research and Teaching Section of Microbiology, School of Basic Medical sciences, Peking University Health science Center explored to reform teaching model of the postgraduate course "the development of medical microbiology". The activities included the changes of teaching goal from caring results to caring processes, teaching model from cramming teaching to interactive teaching and teaching subject from teacher-dominated to student-oriented. This new teaching model was deeply welcomed and approved by both the teachers and students related to this course.

Abstract:Veterinary Microbiology is one of the most important basic courses in veterinary medicine related majors.In order to cultivate the innovative high-quality talents,we have carried out the teaching reform of Veterinary Microbiology.The reform was started with the teaching idea,teaching mode,and the examination system.The teaching-centered lectures have been turned to guiding student to the autonomous learning.Furthermore,various teaching methods were integrated flexibly into each knowledge point,and the whole process comprehensive examination system was implemented to test both knowledge and ability.By putting these into practice,students' initiative learning enthusiasm and learning interests were aroused,and students' independent learning ability,creative thinking ability,as well as practical ability were cultivated.The reform has changed students' attitude toward learning that focusing on results rather than process.The practice has showed positive outcome on teaching efficiency,suggesting the transform is worth popularizing.
