Abstract:The Paper Presents the design method and implement process of a kind of MP3 real-time decoding system based on the embedded application of multi-task.Aimed at the SOC platform of ARM926EJ-S core,this system optimizes the algorithm of the critical modules in the MP3 decoding process,improves the efficiency of decoding and fit the demand of re- al-time playing.The result of experiment indicates that this system can play MP3 music(bit-rate 192 kb/s)fluently with only 36MHz main frequency of processor.The innovative design has the following point:in accordance with the multiplication of the data features in sub-band filtering,cleverly pre-shifting operands,thus on the basis of ensuring the certain accuracy of data,shorten the cycle of multiplication instructions and greatly increased the decoding efficiency,presents a real-time playing strategy,applicable for efficient task scheduling,which has a good reference value for the multi-task embedded system design with high real-time performance and low-power.
