Abstract:We extend Agarwal–Simon's nonunitary representation of one-mode squeezed state to two-mode case. By virtue of the bipartite entangled state we find a new representation of the two-mode squeezed state, which provides new insight into these states.

Abstract:Based on the neat < eta\ representation of the two-mode squeezing operator which entangles signal-mode and idlemode, where < eta\ is the common eigenvector of the relative position of two particles and the total momentum exhibiting a maximal entanglement between the two modes, we study some kind of squeezing mixing 1-3 modes and 2-4 modes for a pair of two-mode (1-2 modes and 3-4 modes) squeezed states. The explicit form of such mixed squeezed states is derived and the new entanglement is analysed.

Abstract:The two-mode quantum Rabi model with bilinear coupling is studied using extended squeezed states. We derive G-functions for each Bargmann index q . They share a common structure with the G-function of the one-photon and two-photon quantum Rabi models. The regular spectrum is given by zeros of the G-function while the conditions for the presence of doubly degenerate (exceptional) eigenvalues are obtained in closed form through the lifting property. The simple singularity structure of the G-function allows to draw conclusions about the distribution of eigenvalues along the real axis and to understand the spectral collapse phenomenon when the coupling reaches a critical value.

Abstract:Based on two mutual conjugate tripartite entangled states |η, σ〉θ and |ζ, τ〉θ we generalize the two-mode one-sided squeezing operators to three-mode case. We derive how the tripartite entangled states transform under the three-mode squeezing operators. We conclude that the entangled state representations provide a convenient basis for deriving various three-mode squeezing operators.

Abstract:We find that the coherent state projection operator representation of the two-mode squeezing operator constitutes a loyal group representation of symplectic group, which is a remarkable property of the coherent state. As a consequence, the resultant effect of successively applying two-mode squeezing operators are equivalent to a single squeezing in the two-mode Fock space. Generalization of this property to the 2n-mode case is also discussed.

Abstract:Two-mode entangled-state wavefunctions and with complex variables z and y are introduced and investigated. They are direct analogues of the wavefunctions and in the single-mode case or are linearly related to each other by two-dimensional Fourier transformation. The states and are eigenstates of two pairs of commuting operators (Z,Z†) (or (Q+,P−)) and (Y,Y†) (or (P+,Q−)) to eigenvalues (z,z*) and (y,y*), respectively, and are normalized by means of the two-dimensional delta function. The entangled states and are represented as two limiting cases of two-mode squeezed coherent states. Different representations of these states, in particular, the analogue of the Agarwal–Simon representation of squeezed vacuum states, are derived and the properties of these states are discussed. The transition from the single-mode to the two-mode case is made using the common property of the squeezing operators to belong to different realizations of the abstract SU(1,1) group. The Wigner quasiprobability in representation of the states and is discussed and is explicitly calculated for two-mode squeezed vacuum (and squeezed coherent) states.

Abstract:We introduce a new unitary operator which can engender a squeezing and rotating entangled transformation. The operator has a concise expression in a new representation in two-mode Fock space. The normally ordered form of can be derived by using the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators. Abstract:We construct the generalized squeezed vacuum state by virtue of the entangled state [Fan Hongyi and J.R. Klauder, Phys. Rev. A47 (1994) 777] and derive the quantum fluctuation of the two-mode quadrature operators.We then calculate Wigner functions of the two-mode squeezed number states and generalized squeezing vacuum state in a new approach which makes full use of the representation, the results are neater and more concise than those in the literature before.

Abstract:For two unequal-mass particles, we construct the entangled state representation and then derive the corresponding squeezing operator. This squeezing operator has a natural realization in the entangled state representation, which exhibits the intrinsic relation between squeezing and quantum entanglement. This squeezing operator involves both two-mode squeezing and the direct product of two single-mode squeezings. The maximum squeezing occurs when the two particles possess equal mass. When the two particles' mass difference becomes large, the component of the two single-mode squeezings becomes dominant.

Abstract:We show that the best way to study the relationship between quantum entanglement and quantum squeezing for the multimode case is through constructing the new n-pair entangled state representation . The explicit form of the 2n-mode squeezing operator which squeezes the n-pair entangled state can be directly derived via the transition from to where M is an n × n complex matrix, and the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators. We also analyze the squeezing properties of the 2n-mode squeezed state for M being Hermitian, and obtain the variances of the 2n-mode quadrature operators in the 2n-mode squeezed vacuum state with a concise result; the condition for reaching the minimum of the uncertainty relationship is also investigated.

Abstract:By extending the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen bipartite entanglement to the tripartite case, we construct the common eigenvector of the tripartite centre-of-mass coordinate and two mass-weighted relative momenta, which is a new entangled state of continuum variables. The classical dilation transform of variables in such a state induces a new three-mode squeezing operator related to a three-mode bosonic operator realization of SU(1,1) Lie algebra.

Abstract:A class of generalized two-mode squeezed states |φ〉 is presented, which are generated from the generalized two-mode squeezing operator U(γ,λ) acting on the two-mode coherent state |α 1,α 2〉. We first investigate some mathematical properties of U(γ,λ) including the squeezing transformation under U(γ,λ), ket-bra integral form in the coordinate representation, normally ordered form. Then we evaluate some nonclassical characteristics of the state |φ〉 such as higher-order squeezing behavior, entanglement analysis and analytical expression of the Wigner function.
Non-Gaussian generalized two-mode squeezing: applications to two-ensemble spin squeezing and beyond

Abstract:Bosonic two-mode squeezed states are paradigmatic entangled Gaussian states that have wide utility in quantum information and metrology. Here, we show that the basic structure of these states can be generalized to arbitrary bipartite quantum systems in a manner that allows simultaneous, Heisenberg-limited estimation of two independent parameters for finite-dimensional systems. Further, we show that these general states can always be stabilized by a relatively simple Markovian dissipative process. In the specific case where the two subsystems are ensembles of two-level atoms or spins, our generalized states define a notion of two-mode spin squeezing that is valid beyond the Gaussian limit and that enables true multi-parameter estimation. We discuss how generalized Ramsey measurements allow one to reach the two-parameter quantum Cramer-Rao bound, and how the dissipative preparation scheme is compatible with current experiments.

Abstract:By constructing a generalized multi-partite entangled state representation and introducing the ket-bra integral in this representation, we find a new set of generalized bosonic realization of the generators of the SU(1, 1) algebra, which can compose a generalized multi-mode squeezing operator. This operator squeezes the multi-partite entangled state in a natural way. Then the corresponding multi-mode squeezed vacuum states |r > is obtained. Based on this, the variances of the n-mode quadratures and the higher-order squeezing in |r > are evaluated. In addition, we examine the violation of the Bell inequality for |r > by using the formalism of Wigner representation.

Abstract:Using the IWOP (integration within ordered product) technique, we construct a new state vector representation in two-mode Fock space. The tensor product of a kind of squeeze operators can then be well identified in the new representation, which manifestly shows that these squeeze operators are quantum maps imaged by certain symplectic transformation in classical phase space.

Abstract:The one- and two-mode combination squeezed states are constructed by applying the operator U identical to exp(-i lambda (erQ1P2+e-rQ2P1)) or W identical to exp(-i lambda (erQ1Q2-e-rP1P2)) (where lambda , r are real; Qi, Pi, i=1, 2 are coordinate and momentum operators, respectively) to the vacuum state. When the condition tanh lambda <1/(1+cosh r) is satisfied, such states can have less fluctuations in one quadrature phase than the usual two-mode squeezed state. Here, the authors examine the higher-order squeezing properties for such states. The result shows that under the same conditions, these states can exhibit a stronger form of higher-order squeezing than the usual two-mode squeezed state.

Abstract:In a recent paper, a new λ-dependent squeezed states was proposed [J. Beckers, N. Debergh and F.H. Szafraniec, Phys. Lett.
